Lance Armstrong Slammed By The U.S. Government In $100 Million Dollar Lawsuit Over Doping Scandal And Endorsements

The U.S. Government Is Trying To Take Back All The Money Lance Armstrong Made Through Dishonesty

Lance Armstrong

The U.S. government, via the Justice Department, has slapped cyclist and former Olympian Lance Armstrong with a massive lawsuit for $100,000,000. The 59-page lawsuit refers to the disgraced cyclist as a "dope" "dealer" and "liar." The government has sued on behalf of the U.S. Postal Service, who sponsored Armstrong and his cycling team from 1998-2005. During that time, Armstrong engaged in an elaborate, dishonest scheme of using steroids, then getting blood transfusions to flush out evidence of the banned substances that gave him an undue advantage at the Olympics and in many tournaments, such as the Tour de France.

The U.S. government wrote in its lawsuit, "No sponsor who knew the truth about how Armstrong achieved his apparent Tour de France victories would have paid any amount of money to sponsor him or his team." The lawsuit's primary objective is to recover the tens of millions of dollars Armstrong was paid in endorsement money by the U.S. Postal Service. It is the Judiciary Report's solemn belief that Armstrong's doping and chronic blood transfusions, led to him developing cancer, as it so disrupted his body's natural functions and cell processes with foreign substances and blood, it damaged his body's entire cellular structure.

Lance Armstrong called a 'doper, dealer, and liar' in brutal Federal Government document - as the Justice Department sues the disgraced cyclist for almost $100 million

Published: 10:32 EST, 12 July 2016 - Disgraced former cycling champion Lance Armstrong has been called a 'doper, dealer, and liar’ in a brutal attack from the Federal Government. The stinging assessment was part of a 59-page document prepared by the U.S. Justice Department as part of an ongoing lawsuit worth nearly $100 million against the cyclist.

‘No sponsor who knew the truth about how Armstrong achieved his apparent Tour de France victories would have paid any amount of money to sponsor him or his team,’ U.S. Justice Department attorneys wrote, the Detroit Free Press reports. The stinging assessment of Armstrong (pictured in 2011) was part of a 59-page document prepared by the U.S. Justice Department as part of an ongoing lawsuit against the cyclist worth nearly $100 million.

The damning attack went on to accuse Armstrong of abusing his position for financial and personal gain, and was delivered as the government attempts to sue the disgraced athlete on behalf of the U.S. Postal Service. Armstrong rode for the U.S. Postal Team from 1998 to 2005, and received more than $40 million in sponsorship during his career. Government lawyers trashed the effort of Armstrong’s legal team to have the case dismissed, saying on Monday: ‘Armstrong’s motion for summary judgment should be denied in its entirety, and this Court should set a date for trial.’

Deontay Wilder Sues Alexander Povetkin Over Scrapped Fight And $5,000,000 Purse Money

Deontay Wilder v. Alexander Povetkin was schedueld to take place on May 21, 2016, but was cancelled when Povetkin failed the standard drug test

Undefeated WBC heavyweight world champion, Deontay Wilder, 30, has sued rival and challenger, Alexander Povetkin, 36, for failing a drug test, which led to the cancellation of their much anticipated fight in Russia. Povetkin's promoter Andrey Ryabinskiy has also been sued in the legal action. Povetkin tested positive for the steroid meldonium, which was added to the banned list in January 2016.

Meldonium's primary function is as a heart drug. However, it does give athletes an edge in competition, creating increased oxygen intake and recovery (but it is not without considerable risks to a person who is not a cardiac patient: "Tennis Star Maria Sharapova Given 2-Year Ban For Using Banned Steroid" and "42-Year-Old MMA Star Kimbo Slice Dies From Fatal Heart Attack In Florida").

Wilder's purse for the fight was to be $4,369,365, money Wilder lost, as he was the likely favorite to retain the WBC heavyweight belt. Wilder's record is (36-0). Povetkin's record is (31-1). Wilder has a valid case. He upheld his end of the contract. However, Povetkin's conduct via a failed drugs test constitutes breach of contract, as each fighter was legally obligated to show up for the fight drug free.

As such, Wilder is entitled to financial compensation. Wilder spent time and money training for the fight ($100,000) and in this site's estimation would have won the bout (again the purse was $4,369,365). During said time, Wilder could have taken another lucrative fight as champion and made millions of dollars. Wilder was also deprived of the fight of a lifetime, to perform in Russia before a very large audience, which would have increased his fame in Europe and Britain. Therefore, it is a litigable offense, the case has merit and there are actual damages (financial losses) one can gain relief for under court rules. The case has been filed in New York.

Previously, Povetkin's promoter Ryabinskiy, sued Don King and his fighter, Guillermo Jones, over a failed drug test and won $2,000,000. Therefore, there is precedent for Wilder's lawsuit.

Deontay Wilder, promoter file suit over canceled Alexander Povetkin match

June 13, 2016 4:54 PM - Deontay Wilder, the WBC heavyweight contender, and promoter DiBella Entertainment have jointly filed a federal lawsuit against No. 1 contender Alexander Povetkin and his promoter, Andrey Ryabinskiy, as a result of the cancelation of their planned May 21 bout in Russia.

Povetkin tested positive for the banned substance Meldonium on April 27. WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman ruled on May 15 the fight could not proceed as a result of Povetkin's failure. The suit, filed Monday in U.S. District Court in New York, seeks a minimum of $5 million in actual damages plus additional damages to be proven at trial. Ryabinskiy's company, World of Boxing, earned the right to promote the bout via a purse bid in which its bid was $7.15 million. Out of that, Wilder's purse was to be $4,369,365...

"Plaintiffs' concerns about ensuring proper testing for banned substances became amplified when, in or around late March 2016, DBE received information that made it concerned that Povetkin was undergoing some kind of doping (i.e., use of banned substances) regimen," the suit read. "In particular, DBE learned that Povetkin had traveled to Spain, which was highly suspicious considering that (i) it is common knowlege in the boxing industry that Povetkin does not like to train outside of Russia, and (ii) while Spain is not known to be a traditional place for boxers to train, it is notorious as an epicenter of doping. Based upon this information, DBE and Wilder began pressuring the WBC to immediately commence random doping testing for the Bout."

Guillermo Jones, a Don King-promoted fighter, tested positive for a banned substance and couldn't compete against a WOB-promoted fighter. Ryabinskiy sued King for failing to produce Jones and won a $2 million judgment...

Tennis Star Maria Sharapova Given 2-Year Ban For Using Banned Steroid

Maria Sharapova

This is a follow up to the May 17, 2016 Judiciary Report article "Boxer Alexander Povetkin Testing Positive For Steroids Causes Cancellation Of Deontay Wilder Fight And Possible Lawsuits" mentioning Maria Sharapova and yesterday's "Kimbo Slice Had An Enlarged Heart Prior To Cardiac Arrest." Today, tennis star, Maria Sharapova, was hit with a 2-year ban for using the banned substance Meldonium. Sharapova has been taking Meldonium for the past 10-years, which constitutes the bulk of her career. However, Meldonium was placed on the banned list in January 2016 and Sharapova kept taking it, resulting in a positive steroids test.

Meldonium has helped many heart patients in Russia where it is legal and dispensed over the counter. However, as stated in the Judiciary Report article a month ago, it is highly risky for a active athlete with no health issues the drug treats, to take the medicine, then engage in rigorous training. That is using it as a steroid. Sadly, one month after the aforementioned article that mentioned athletes developing enlarged hearts that can turn deadly, due to steroids use, MMA star, Kim Slice, died from a fatal heart attack brought on by steroids use that enlarged his heart.

My concern is athletes' health. No amount of money, fame, glory and prizes is worth shaving decades off your life. Once again, the Judiciary Report would like to implore people to leave steroids alone. The risks are simply too great and far reaching. It is not worth it. Take care of yourselves. Enjoy your life and the opportunities you have, by training hard and steroids free.

Maria Sharapova suspended for 2 years for doping

Wednesday, June 8 2016 10:00 a.m. MDT - Maria Sharapova was suspended from tennis for two years Wednesday for testing positive for meldonium at the Australian Open, and immediately responded by saying she would appeal the decision to sport's highest court. The ruling by an independent three-person panel appointed by the International Tennis Federation said Sharapova did not intend to cheat because she didn't know meldonium was banned, but that she bore "sole responsibility" and "very significant fault" for the positive test.

"While the tribunal concluded correctly that I did not intentionally violate the anti-doping rules, I cannot accept an unfairly harsh two-year suspension," Sharapova said in a statement. "The tribunal, whose members were selected by the ITF, agreed that I did not do anything intentionally wrong, yet they seek to keep me from playing tennis for two years. I will immediately appeal the suspension portion of this ruling to CAS, the Court of Arbitration for Sport."...

Kimbo Slice Had An Enlarged Heart Prior To Cardiac Arrest

Kimbo Slice

This is a follow up to yesterday's article "42-Year-Old MMA Star Kimbo Slice Dies From Fatal Heart Attack In Florida." The Judiciary Report has been warning athletes for years to stop taking steroids, due to the adverse, life threatening, far reaching effects of ingesting banned substances (see "related articles" section at the bottom of this article).

A month prior to Kimbo Slice's death, the site made reference to steroids in the May 17, 2016 Judiciary Report article "Boxer Alexander Povetkin Testing Positive For Steroids Causes Cancellation Of Deontay Wilder Fight And Possible Lawsuits" which stated, "Meldonium (banned substance) increases strength, stamina and endurance, which means the heart is working harder than it normally would, via increased levels of hyperactivity, if the drug was not present in the healthy person's system. This risk is multiplied in a heavyweight, as the heart already works harder in larger people. Speeding up its processes with an artificial drug, magnifies any negative effects. One of them being an enlarged heart, which if left unchecked can lead to an early death."

One month after the Judiciary Report's aforementioned article, the Local 10 News channel in Miami, Florida stated Kimbo Slice had developed an "enlarged heart" which resulted in a fatal heart attack on on Monday, June 6, 2016 (see "Story Source" for this week's Local 10 News article). Some pharmaceutical drugs, if taken to excess, initiates liver damage in approximately 24-hours (Acetaminophen is a very good pain reliever, especially for athletes, but if you exceed the permitted daily dosage it will quickly create liver damage). Heavy duty anabolic steroids damage the heart, liver and kidneys. Taking steroids for a few years of undue fame, fortune and glory, only to catastrophically fall and die young is not worth it.

I find it highly irresponsible that some so-called fitness websites and social networking pages are promoting steroids use. I've also seen and know of cases regarding personal trainers promoting steroids use to clients. To "eat clean and train dirty" only to put poison in your body in the form of steroids is counterproductive and dangerous.

You can be a clean, natural and successful athlete. You have to eat properly and put in the work it requires in training. There are many athletes who do not win every time and people still love them. Decent fans appreciate an honest effort, more than an unethical, banned shortcut that cheats others of a win and cuts your life drastically short.

42-Year-Old MMA Star Kimbo Slice Dies From Fatal Heart Attack In Florida

Kimbo Slice

MMA star, Kimbo Slice, real name Kevin Ferguson, died last night in Coconut Creek, Florida, a city on the outskirts of Miami. Slice was hospitalized at the Northwest Medical Center, after feeling unwell and died shortly after. Reports indicate the popular MMA star had a fatal heart attack. The hospital has not released the suspected underlying cause of Slice's fatal heart attack. No official statement has been released by the medical examiner on the exact cause of Slice's early passing. An autopsy and toxicology report is expected in coming weeks.

Some on social networking are openly speculating steroids use lead to Slice's cardiac arrest, as he tested positive for the anabolic steroid Nandrolone in February, after a win against Dhaffir Harris. A number of wrestlers have died early in life from steroids use (for more information on the dangers of steroids please read: Boxer Alexander Povetkin Testing Positive For Steroids Causes Cancellation Of Deontay Wilder Fight And Possible Lawsuits). "Hollywood Illuminati" rumors are online regarding Slice's death, as he was friends with fellow Floridian, The Rock, real name Dwayne Johnson and appeared in the film series he made popular "The Scorpion King 3."

Slice is a former high school football player. He attended the University of Miami (as did The Rock). In 1997, Slice had a tryout with the Miami Dolphins, but did not make the team. Slice then became a heavyweight boxer and mixed martial artist, rising to fame in 2007. He became an online sensation, due to videos he released of himself on You Tube, fighting others in his backyard.

The videos attracted the attention of the EliteXC and then UFC, who signed him to successive deals. In 2007, Rolling Stone magazine proclaimed Slice "the king of the web brawlers" in reference to the popularity of his viral videos. Slice was scheduled to fight in London, England on July 16, 2016, as apart of a Bellator MMA show. He leaves behind a fiancée and six children.

People need to be careful in their pursuit of fame and fortune. Hollywood is full of vipers, who would have you sell your soul to the devil in exchange for fame and money, asking you to do things that damage your body, mind and soul. However, said fame and fortune is short lived and comes at a massive personal and professional price.

Leave that lifestyle alone, lest it destroys you. Take care of your health, body, mind and soul. You can make it without compromising yourself. There are no shortcuts to fame and fortune. The shortcuts are dead ends, with emphasis on the word dead. I've seen it happen to many people in music and sports.

I've seen many quickly rise under the wrong circumstances, then catastrophically fall overnight, sustaining extensive, life changing damage, from having the wrong people around them, who claimed they were so-called friends and business associates, but proved to be their undoing and downfall.

Deontay Wilder States Alexander Povetkin Positive Drug Test Is Like Bringing A Knife To A Boxing Match

Deontay Wilder

WBC heavyweight champion, Deontay Wilder, has spoken out about the cancellation of his fight against challenger, Alexander Povetkin, due to his rival failing a drug test, regarding the banned performance enhancing drug, meldonium. Wilder stated, "This is already a put your life on the line type of sport," Wilder said. "This was like someone coming to a fight with a knife in their hands. I still wanted to fight. But at the end of the day I had to think about the repercussions behind it. We would be sending out a message that says it's OK to do this."

Wilder further stated, "The head is not meant to be hit in the first place but we're willing to do it to make money and provide for our family. But we never know if we're going to come out of the ring like we came into it. I'm just devastated. It hurts to put so much work into this, hours upon hours of training and sparring and then the traveling. To come up empty-handed is sad and sad for the sport. A lot of people missed out on a great fight."

Wilder’s team is mulling over their options, which may include a lawsuit against Povetkin and his promoter, Andrei Ryabinsky. Many companies have insurance. The offender pays a deductible (after paying the premium) if they are found to be in the wrong regarding an incident. However, if the insurance company determines the offender acted in a manner that was reckless, they will refuse to cover any litigation costs or settlements.

Alexander Povetkin

Technically, Povetkin breached contract. He was contractually obligated to show up to the fight and be free of steroids or any other encumbrances that would hamper the bout taking place as scheduled. Wilder upheld his portion of the contract. Therefore, it is not fair that he is penalized via losing millions of dollars, after an exhausting training camp that came out of his pocket.

Wilder should be paid at least $1,000,000 as he has lost the $4,500,000 purse and additional fees from broadcast rights and associated licensing deals. Povetkin’s team should financially compensate Wilder. As they say, "Time is money." Wilder could have fought someone else during that time period and made millions.

Wilder can quickly try to find another opponent, such as Kubrat Pulev, who is fresh off a victory against Dereck Chisora in Germany. There's also Joseph Parker and Luis Ortiz. He could also fight Bryant Jennings in America. However, the WBC is expected to name the mandatory boxer. On such short notice, it would require a good 2-months for a rival to prepare, as Wilder has a dangerous punch. However, it is better than waiting 6-months or more for another bout.

Wilder on Povetkin doping: Like coming to fight with a knife

May. 17, 2016 3:57 PM EDT - Deontay Wilder was willing to risk his heavyweight title and unbeaten mark against a hometown hero in Moscow. What he wasn't as willing to risk was having his brains scrambled by the fists of a doped-up Russian fighter. "This is already a put your life on the line type of sport," Wilder said. "This was like someone coming to a fight with a knife in their hands."

Wilder was training in England and about to take a plane to Moscow when his camp got word Sunday that Alexander Povetkin had tested positive to meldonium, the seeming drug du jour of Russian athletes. One of the better heavyweight matchups of the year was in limbo as Wilder's camp and the World Boxing Council tried to decide what to do. "I still wanted to fight," Wilder said. "But at the end of the day I had to think about the repercussions behind it. We would be sending out a message that says it's OK to do this."...

Boxer Alexander Povetkin Testing Positive For Steroids Causes Cancellation Of Deontay Wilder Fight And Possible Lawsuits

Deontay Wilder v. Alexander Povetkin

On Saturday, May 14, 2016, ESPN announced 36-year-old boxing challenger, Alexander Povetkin (31-1), tested positive for the banned steroid, meldonium, which is a commonly used heart drug in his native Russia. Povetkin was scheduled to fight undefeated 30-year-old WBC heavyweight champ, Deontay Wilder (36-0), on May 21, 2016 in Moscow, Russia. In the weeks leading up to the fight, Alabama native, Wilder, even billed the bout the new Rocky IV on his social networking pages. Ironically, in more ways than one. Povetkin has become a real live Drago.

The WBC has announced today that in light of the Povetkin's positive drug test, the fight has been postponed. Prominent figures in boxing are stating the fight should be cancelled, not postponed and Povetkin handed a ban. Wilder's promoter is looking into a potential lawsuit, as a $5,000,000 purse is at stake and Povetkin is liable. Wilder's manager Jay Deas has told the press the fight is not postponed, but cancelled, which prompted Povetkin's promoter to threaten a lawsuit.

Alexander Povetkin

It's sad to have to cancel a fight, especially with a large number of tickets already sold. Russian fans and others around the world who purchased tickets to fly to Moscow to see the bout that was scheduled for this Saturday, will be disappointed, but there are valid issues regarding Povetkin that warrant a cancellation.

Meldonium gives athletes an undue advantage. It increases endurance, stamina and strength. The mere fact Povetkin tested positive for meldonium, means his body is still benefiting from the drug. Povetkin's January 2016 drug test came back clean. However, Povetkin's April 2016 drug test came back positive for meldonium, which means it was ingested recently during training camp.

Deontay Wilder

In March 2016, 29-year-old tennis star Maria Sharpova, tested positive for meldonium. Sharapova, a resident of Florida since age 7, was taking the drug for most of her adult career (for the past 10-years) and stated she was unaware it was banned in January 2016. However, it has been stated, tennis players were warned 5-times in writing (emails) that meldonium is banned as of January 1, 2016. Sharapova, who is barred from playing tennis, is now awaiting word on how long she will be banned, pending an appeal. Meldonium is not approved for any type of use in America. However, it can be lawfully purchased in Russia.

Sharapova has many multi-million dollar endorsements with companies such as Nike, Porsche and Tag Heuer, which have already been revoked in light of the positive drug test. Tennis players are not expressing sympathy for her plight, with rival Jennifer Capriati stating Sharapova should be stripped of her 35 tennis titles. Even ex-boyfriend Andy Roddick has stated Sharapova should receive a ban.

Maria Sharapova

If one does not have heart problems, it is not a good idea to take the drug. Long term effects on healthy patients is currently unknown by medical science. More investigation is needed regarding comparative studies with proper control groups. Meldonium could lead to cancer and or heart problems, among other things, for disrupting the body's natural mechanisms, when no illness is present.

As state above, meldonium increases strength, stamina and endurance, which means the heart is working harder than it normally would, via increased levels of hyperactivity, if the drug was not present in the healthy person's system. This risk is multiplied in a heavyweight, as the heart already works harder in larger people. Speeding up its processes with an artificial drug, magnifies any negative effects. One of them being an enlarged heart, which if left unchecked can lead to an early death.

Maria Sharapova

Heart patients know they are barred from overexerting themselves, engaging in strenuous physical activity and must be cautious of stair climbing, due to the negative effect these acts can have on a damaged heart. An athlete will do all those things in training and practice for several hours per day, on average 5 days a week (weight lifting, stair climber and running for miles). Therefore, the risks are compounded.

If you pay attention to the ages of steroids using wrestlers who have suddenly died at early ages from heart attacks, many of them are in their 40s and 50s, which is usually the age heart disease begins to kick in for people who engaged in practices detrimental to their health (cocaine, smoking cigarettes ect). Once again, proper studies need to be conducted, factoring in age, weight, lifestyle and period of time the drug was ingested by each subject and in what quantity, to gain accurate answers. Either way, if you aren't sick, you shouldn't be taking pharmaceutical drugs, as fundamentally it is not a good idea.

Two reports assert Alexander Povetkin took meldonium after ban

6:38 PM ET - While the fight between heavyweight titleholder Deontay Wilder and mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin hangs in the balance after Povetkin's positive test for the banned substance meldonium, the assertion from Povetkin's promoter that it was in his system only because he took it late last year -- before it was banned -- appears untrue.

After ESPN first reported on Friday that Povetkin tested positive for meldonium in an April 27 urine test conducted by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association in Chekhov, Russia, promoter Andrey Ryabinsky of World of Boxing told the Russian TASS news agency that "traces of extremely low concentration of meldonium have been found in his blood. He consumed it in September last year. He has not taken it since Jan. 1. The situation is ambiguous. The blood sample was taken in April this year. We have been in contact with the World Boxing Council, which is to decide if Povetkin's boxing bout against Deontay Wilder will take place or not."

However, ESPN.com has obtained two separate written reports sent by VADA's president, Dr. Margaret Goodman, to both camps as well as the WBC, whose title Wilder holds, notifying them that Povetkin was negative for any banned substances in VADA-conducted tests on April 7, April 8 and April 11. So Povetkin, who has yet to ask for his B sample to be tested, apparently used meldonium between April 11 and his positive test on April 27. The letter Goodman sent disclosing the negative results on April 7 and April 8 was sent on April 21. The letter confirming the negative results on April 11 was sent on April 30.

"The information you have obtained is accurate," promoter Lou DiBella, who represents Wilder, told ESPN.com on Saturday. "It also contradicts the public statements made by Mr. Ryabinsky attempting to excuse Povetkin's positive result. If there was a trace amount from 2015 in his system, it would have shown up in the other three tests in April that preceded the positive result. "This is a very serious PED because it wasn't on the (World Anti-Doping Agency) banned list until Jan. 1. This is the type of PED that results in extremely elevated stamina and a fighter performing like the Energizer bunny."...

Deontay Wilder-Alexander Povetkin title fight postponed

6:53 AM ET - Heavyweight titleholder Deontay Wilder's defense against mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin was called off Sunday in the wake of Povetkin's positive test for the banned substance meldonium. Wilder and Povetkin were scheduled for their much-anticipated fight on May 21 at the Khodynka Ice Palace in Moscow, but in a Voluntary Anti-Doping Association urine test conducted April 27 in Chekhov, Russia, Povetkin tested positive for meldonium. The test results came to light Friday when the VADA sent letters to both camps and the WBC, whose title Wilder holds, disclosing them.

Wilder and his team have been in Sheffield, England, for the past two weeks training and adjusting to several hours of time difference. They were scheduled to fly to Moscow on Sunday afternoon but did not board their flight and were making plans to return to the United States despite having not heard from the WBC on the matter, a member of Wilder's team told ESPN.com...

There is a lot of money at stake. Based on Ryabinsky's winning purse bid of $7.15 million, Wilder was due $4,504,500 to Povetkin's $1,930,500 with the remaining 10 percent -- $715,000 -- going to the winner. With no fight, the purses won't be paid and a lawsuit is likely to ensue; Wilder's purse is sitting in escrow in a United States bank, according to his camp...

WBA Heavyweight Champion Lucas 'Big Daddy' Browne Stripped Of Title And Banned For 6-Months

Lucas 'Big Daddy' Browne

After testing positive for the banned steroid Clenbuterol in March 2016, newly minted WBA heavyweight champ denied knowingly taking the drug. Clenbuterol is found in cattle in select parts of the world, such as Mexico and China, but is also used by bodybuilders and athletes during "cutting cycles" when they seek to lose weight and gain muscle definition.

Lucas 'Big Daddy' Browne and Ruslan Chagaev

Two months later, Browne has been stripped of his WBA title, which now returns to his former opponent, Ruslan Chagaev of Russia. Browne has also been issued a 6-month ban, which is the more lenient end of the scale. Several other boxers who have been banned for a positive steroids test faced a 2-year suspension. However, based on published reports, the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) did not brand Browne's positive tests deliberate doping, but a failure to be cautious regarding what was ingested in his system.

This means, the Championships Committee of the World Boxing Association have stripped Browne of is heavyweight title and suspended him for six months, in accordance with the rules of the organization. Browne won his WBA belt after winning by TKO in the tenth against the then champion Ruslan Chagaev in March. However, the title will not be returned to its former owner after he revealed his intention not to return to the ring when announcing his retirement following the fight...

Newly Crowned WBA Heavyweight World Champion Lucas 'Big Daddy' Browne Tests Positive For Steroids And Faces Losing His Title

Lucas 'Big Daddy' Browne

Boxer Lucas 'Big Daddy" Browne recently won the WBA regular heavyweight title in a victory over, Ruslan Chagaev, which took place in Chechnya. Yesterday, ESPN boxing analyst, Dan Rafael, broke the story that Browne has tested positive for the banned drug, Clenbuterol. Browne's "A sample" revealed traces of the drug in his urine. Browne must now pay a fee to the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) to test his "B sample" to determine if the original test result is a fluke.

Lucas 'Big Daddy' Browne and Ruslan Chagaev

The composition of the drug Clenbuterol indicates it boosts the metabolism, sharpens acuity and reflexes. This is likely the reason it has been banned, as it would create an unfair and undue advantage in sports. The primary purpose of Clenbuterol is to treat asthma. It opens constricted airways, allowing the patient to breathe more freely. However, it has "off label" uses it has not been approved for, such as weight loss, used by bodybuilders during "cutting cycles" to obtain greater muscle tone and definition. Clenbuterol speeds up the body's metabolism in aiding the system to burn fat at a more rapid rate. However, in speeding up one's metabolism, it is improving reflexes, reaction time and heightens awareness.

Some consider Clenbuterol a steroid, others do not. However, for years it has caused athletes to fail drug tests due to being banned. Over two dozen athletes have received sports bans prohibiting participation over the detected use of Clenbuterol. However, some athletes did test positive for Clenbuterol by consuming meat that unbeknownst to them contained the drug, as stated previously in the column on May 29, 2014 (Steroids Shortens Your Penis And Life).

Browne has expressed dismay at the test result. In a tweet on Twitter, Browne stated, "I don't understand today's news, and I'm seeking legal advice." Rafael is reporting Brown will be stripped of his title, which is sad. Browne is the first Australian heavyweight champion of the world, which complicates the situation more, as it has been a source of national pride. Whatever happens, Browne needs to not beat himself up too much over this. Life goes on and he must too.

Australian boxing champion Lucas Browne tests positive for clenbuterol

March 22, 201610:04am - AUSTRALIA’S first heavyweight boxing champion Lucas “Big Daddy” Browne has sensationally tested positive to banned substance clenbuterol. A drugs test conducted by the Las Vegas-based agency Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) before his WBA regular heavyweight world champion title fight victory over Russian Ruslan Chagaev in Chechnya two weeks ago returned a positive result.

ESPN has reported Browne tested positive to clenbuterol in his “A sample” and no testing has been done of his “B sample” because of the testing agency demanding the Sydney-based fighter pay for the second round of testing. Browne’s breakthrough win over Chagaev marked him as an Australian champion, but his bright future and promise of potential mega-fights against the likes of David Haye, Tyson Fury and Fres Oquendo is now clouded.

ESPN boxing analyst Dan Rafael reported the 36-year-old is expected to be stripped of his title. VADA president Dr. Margaret Goodman wrote a letter to the organisers of the Browne-Chagaev fight, informing them of Browne’s positive test. Unclear future. “This letter is to advise you that the ‘A’ sample urine specimen number 2998060 collected from Lucas Browne ... has been analysed for anabolic agents, diuretics, beta-2 agonists and stimulants,” Goodman wrote. “The results of the analysis are as follows: Adverse. Urine specimen contains Clenbuterol. “Mr. Browne has the right to promptly request analysis of the ‘B sample’ at his expense.”...

Erkan Teper Given 2-Year Boxing Ban For Using Steroids In Fight Against David Price (Video)

In the November 24, 2015 article "Boxer Tyson Fury Complains About Steroids Use In Sports At Wladimir Klitschko Pre-Fight Press Conference" the pugilist complained of athletes using steroids for an undue advantage in sport. Fury was adamant about his claims. One month later boxer, Erkan Teper, has been handed a two year ban, after it was revealed he tested positive for steroids.

David Price (left) and Erkan Temper (right)

Teper fought Fury's compatriot, David Price, who was knocked out during the fight. In retrospect, the signs were there that Teper was using steroids. He was hyper, all over the ring, firing off shots with no sign of fatigue. The Teper defeat has been struck from Price's record and recorded as a no contest. Under the circumstances, it is appropriate that the defeat not be counted against Price, as the playing field was not level.

David Price after knockout by Tony Thompson

This is the second time Price has lost to a steroids user. Price's first defeats in the ring were at the hands of Tony Thompson, who defeated him twice. These losses derailed Price's career, destroyed his confidence and cost him money. When such incidents occur, the defeated party should be given the winner's purse. Fair is fair.

Tyson Fury's tweets about Teper steroids use

As stated in past articles, confidence is very important in sports. It can mean the difference between winning and losing. Once an athlete's confidence is shaken, it needs to be repaired and rebuilt, in order to help them reach their full potential, in overcoming what is a significant sporting obstacle. You have to get your mental game in order, believing you are worthy and can win.

Boxer Tyson Fury Complains About Steroids Use In Sports At Wladimir Klitschko Pre-Fight Press Conference

Wladimir Klitschko and Tyson Fury at press conference

British heavyweight boxing champion, Tyson Fury, 27, who is set to face WBA, WBO and IBF world champion, Ukrainian pugilist Wladimir Klitschko, 39, this Saturday in Dusseldorf, Germany. During a press conference and interviews this week, Fury sounded off on a number of things. The jokes were in abundance as Fury tried to irritate Klitschko by leaning over and whispering in his ear "Ooh, you smell nice" then proclaiming to the press that his rival "Smelt of perfume. Women's perfume."

On a more serious subject, Fury has gone on record complaining about the use of steroids in sports. Fury stated in an interview this week, "I can look at a man and tell you if he's full of drugs by one glance at his body with his top off. Boxing has got a big problem with drugs. Why don't they make drugs totally legal in sports and then it would be fully fair? You can't tell me these sports people aren't taking drugs when they look like Greek gods. You can train for 100 years and your body will never look like that. But if a man wants to pump himself full of drugs it's only shortening his life."

Fury complained that he trains often and his body does not look chiseled. Fury stated, "I’ve trained all my life, I’m fighting for the heavyweight championship of the world. But my body is like jelly, it’s a natural body you see" (LOL). Fury has shaped up thanks to a new trainer. He looks firmer, slightly thinner and a bit more defined, but by no means does he have a very muscular body.

Some thought Fury was calling Klitschko "Drago" from the "Rocky IV" film, regarding the Russian boxer who was pumped full of steroids ('Rocky IV' Highlights The Advantages Of Contrasting Training Methods). When pressed about his steroids comments to the BBC, with some wondering out loud if it was a dig at Klitschko, who is very muscular, well defined and solid, Fury stated the comment was meant in general.

The character "Drago" from the "Rocky IV" film

Steroids and all forms of performance enhancing drugs should not be legalized in sports. It is very dangerous for the health. As stated in past columns (Steroids Shortens Your Penis And Life), steroids wreaks havoc on the heart (and the penis, which women will not be happy about LOL). Studies have confirmed these facts. So many wrestlers and bodybuilders that have used steroids died young from heart attacks. It's not worth it.

If steroids were legalized it would lead to greater consumption, whereas now drug cheats are trying to hide it by only using it at certain times. Steroids are poison. Pumping that into one's body frequently will promote heart attacks and cancer. Nothing beats hard work and doing things the right way.

Legalise drugs in sport, says world title challenger Tyson Fury

Posted on: 05:19 PM IST Nov 24, 2015 - Tyson Fury, the British heavyweight boxer who fights for the world title in Germany on Saturday, says boxing has a "big problem" with doping and that the only way to combat it is to make drugs legal in all sports. In the latest in a round of interviews publicising his challenge for Ukrainian Wladimir Klitschko's three world titles in Dusseldorf at the weekend, the controversial Fury said he could tell if any sportsman had been doping...

Robert Smith, general secretary of the British Boxing Board of Control, told the BBC on Tuesday that he did not believe doping was a major problem in the sport. A statement from board said it was "committed in its fight against drug use in professional boxing" and has "an extensive programme of out-of-competition testing and in-competition testing."

Floyd Mayweather Accused Of Taking Steroids Before His Win Against Manny Pacquiao

Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather after historic May 2, 2015 fight

The world’s richest boxer, Floyd Mayweather, is seeing his name take a battering, after the top rated American sports network and website ESPN released a report that he had an illegal IV, banned under World Anti-Doping Agency rules, before his May 2, 2015 fight against his number one rival, Manny Pacquiao. Mayweather then received an exemption from the USADA (US anti-doping) weeks after the fight on May 21, 2015. However, the Nevada State Athletic Commission is angry stating USADA did not have the authority to give Mayweather the wavier.

Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao

The report indicates the IV Mayweather was given right before the fight and anti-doping arriving at his house in Las Vegas to test him for steroids, contained saline and vitamins. However, the Nevada Athletics Commission has plainly indicated, Mayweather and other athletes are banned from taking IVs in this manner and his dosage far exceeded the amount of fluid allowed under existing rules. This rule is in effect as excessive amounts of saline flush out steroids from the system. The limit is 50 milliliters. Mayweather was given an IV containing a whopping 750 milliliters.

Andre Berto and Floyd Mayweather

Mayweather, who formerly accused Manny Pacquiao of using steroids, was sued by the Filipino star and settled with him out of court, states he did nothing wrong in using the IV before the May 2, 2015 fight. Ironically, Pacquiao was denied the use of the painkiller Toradol before the Mayweather fight regarding the torn rotator cuff he sustained in training camp, which is a very painful injury that hampers the use of one’s arm due to shocking and jarring pain. Pacquiao underwent surgery to repair the torn rotator cuff and has been wearing a cast while the injury heals.

Floyd Mayweather, USADA deny rules violations prior to Pacquaio fight

17h - LAS VEGAS -- Floyd Mayweather strongly denied Thursday any wrongdoing related to his receiving an intravenous injection mix of saline and vitamins -- banned under World Anti-Doping Agency guidelines -- on the eve of his record-breaking fight with Manny Pacquiao on May 2. The United States Anti-Doping Agency on Thursday also disputed that Mayweather violated any rules, saying the boxer applied for and was granted an exemption for the infusion...

Mayweather's IV usage, reported Wednesday by SB Nation, was allowed by USADA despite it being against the very WADA rules that USADA claims to follow. The contract that Mayweather and Pacquiao signed with USADA to cover the drug testing protocol for the bout allowed for therapeutic use exemptions, but USADA issued Mayweather's exemption for the IV use three weeks after the fight, which is unusual.

In addition, USADA did not notify the Nevada State Athletic Commission, the regulatory agency overseeing the fight, or Pacquiao's team until after it was granted well after the fight, something NSAC executive director Bob Bennett took major issue with. Bennett said only the commission can grant a therapeutic use exemption (TUE) to an athlete, not a drug testing body such as USADA...

Mayweather's medical team told the USADA collection agents that the IV -- which reportedly included a mixture of 250 milliliters of saline and multivitamins and a 500-milliliter mixture of saline and Vitamin C -- was being given to Mayweather for rehydration purposes following the weigh-in.

The fact that they were given intravenously was not allowed, according to WADA rules that state intravenous infusions or injections of more than 50 milliliters per six hours are prohibited "except for those legitimately received in the course of hospital admissions, surgical procedures, or clinical investigations." WADA bans such large injections and infusions because they can be used to "dilute or mask the presence of another substance."...

'Basketball Wives LA' Reality Star Draya Blamed For Ex-Boyfriend Orlando Scandrick Testing Positive For Steroids

Draya Michele and Orlando Scandrick

Former stripper Draya Michele, who is the ex-girlfriend of Chris Brown, loves to party. She is often seen purchasing bottles of alcohol, with rumors floating in the industry her party girl image also includes drug taking and threesomes. So when her ex-boyfriend, Dallas Cowboys cornerback, Orlando Scandrick, who has signed contracts worth $35,000,000, tested positive for a “performance enhancing stimulant” cut with MDMA (ecstasy) after drinking an alcoholic cocktail while he was dating Draya and they were on vacation, accusations began to fly online that she had drugged him out of spite due to the demise of their engagement.

Draya and Orlando Scandrick

Turns out Draya is not the culprit. Upon reading claims Draya had drugged him, Scandrick issued a statement, “To clear up rumors, I wasn’t persuaded nor was I drugged. I simply just made a bad choice. It was just a bad decision. I should have never done it. I didn’t do it with the intent of knowing that it would test positive. I know we get random tests but I mean, I don’t take anything to enhance my performance. I wasn’t taking anything to enhance my performance. I was notified that I had to take a test while I was out of the country. I called them an told them I would not be back and voluntarily gave them my specimen.” Scandrick has been banned for the first four games of the season.

Steroids Shortens Your Penis And Life

Steroids

Steroids use is dangerous to your life and health. With more and more people participating in social networking and the pressure on males to be buff, some have turned to steroids as a shortcut. Athletes have illegally used steroids as well. However, this is a dangerous practice to all who use steroids. Some researchers believe steroids shrinks the size of the penis, causes impotence and other sexual dysfunction problems.

Steroids also wreaks havoc on the organs, particularly the heart. This leads to fatal heart attacks. Many wrestlers have died fairly young from steroids use. Every few months there is a new headline about a wrestler dying way younger than the average person. The wrestling industry does not test enough for steroids usage, which is killing its stars. Athletes in other sports have used steroids and been caught via tests, leading to extensive damage to their careers and finances. I implore those of you taking steroids to get off them now, lest an unexpected test from a regulatory sports entity damages your career with a lengthy ban and loss of endorsements.

Stop using steroids. Bulk up the natural way with increased caloric intake of lean protein and healthy carbs, combined with a good weightlifting regimen. Train hard and dedicate yourself to a good program. You can do well without steroids. Leave it alone. Steroids will shorten your life. The damage they do is often irreversible and not worth it in the long-term for what you perceive you have gained the short-term.

Side Bar: an article on the Reuters website recently stated certain types of beef are causing athletes to test positive for steroids. As a result, the Mexican national team is avoiding all beef for the World Cup.

Side Bar 2: Teams/companies in all sports should regularly test their own athletes to make sure there are no surprises and that if a problem accidentally occurs, due to third party contamination (such as beef or someone sabotaging your athlete), they can quickly find the source of the problem and rectify it.

Madonna’s Kabbalah Center Targeting Domestic And International Pro-Athletes Endangering Their Careers And Health

Madonna

Madonna’s Kabbalah Center, which is under criminal investigation by the U.S. federal government and international counterparts, have been targeting famous pro-athletes domestically (in America) and internationally. The Kabbalah Center has been classified as a “cult” by domestic and international law enforcement watching their behavior.

Under Madonna’s instruction and that of the Berg family, who run the Kabbalah Center with her, famous members of the cult in the music and film professions, have been approaching popular professional athletes, urging them to join the Kabbalah Center, known as Hollywood’s “Illuminati.“

The Kabbalah Center are offering athletes false promises and incentives that are based in criminal behavior, to join. They are also secretly using famous pro-athletes names to dupe and extract large financial donations from corporations, organizations and members of the public, whilst lying the money will go to charity.

Instead the funds have been going to support Madonna and the Berg's lavish lifestyle in Beverly Hills, California, New York and London, England. Madonna and the Kabbalah Center have also illegally hidden millions in charitable donations they deceitfully solicited from companies, organizations and members of the public, in secret accounts in the Caribbean and Europe, which is a violation of U.S. law.

The Kabbalah Center’s aim in targeting professional athletes is twofold. Their goal is to also lure them away from their current managers, agents and promoters, to whom they are contractually obligated, which is unethical, to enable the cult to financially exploit their careers. The Kabbalah Center then takes over their careers, when they know absolutely nothing about sports management, filling these athletes heads with mumbo jumbo and crazy cult practices, destroying their peace of mind and mental stability. They are experimenting with professional athletes careers and to their detriment, while  causing problems in their respective genres of sport.

Sports managers, agents and promoters need to protect their athletes from this cult. Athletes also need to be very wary of this cult. They are known for criminally spying on their members and people they target for exploitation via criminally commissioned phone hacking, computer hacking, email hacking, wiretapping and stalking.

The Kabbalah Center are money hungry charlatans duping athletes into thinking they have special insight into their lives which will bring them success and prosperity. When in actuality, only talent and hard work will win in any sports venue. There are no shortcuts. Let no one dupe you into believing the lie that chants, symbols, spells, charms and or potions will bring you success in sports or any other facet of life.

The Kabbalah Center still has hackers and private investigators committing crimes (as seen in the Anthony Pellicano case, which I gave the FBI testimony and evidence regarding before his arrest and in the News Corp phone hacking scandal, which I broke first via a police complaint to the Metropolitan Police in London - read more about that here).

The Kabbalah Center knows personal things about the athletes and other people with assets they target for exploitation, from the aforementioned commissioned illegal surveillance, but are duping them into believing that it is due to special spiritual insights the Kabbalah Center and their so-called psychic mystics possess. It's nothing but a con.

Yehuda Berg

Steroids

Athletes need to be wary of the Kabbalah Center and its famous member. One athlete that got mixed up with them saw one of his supplements sabotaged. Another athlete that got mixed up with the Kabbalah Center was offered supplements that they claimed were all natural, would aid in recovery after intense workouts and naturally boost his performance during official events giving him an edge, but it turns out they would have caused him to test positive on regulation anti-doping tests, had he taken them.

Athletes need to be careful of items the Kabbalah Center is telling them are just vitamins, supplements or recovery items. The Kabbalah Center is reckless, dangerous and crazy. There exists an incident of the Kabbalah Center tampering with the vitamins and supplements in a pro-athletes home out of spite, when he did something inoffensive that upset one of the leaders in the irrational, vengeful cult.

Athletes shouldn’t even leave their drinks around members of the Kabbalah Center in social settings. Nor should athletes and other targets voluntarily grant the Kabbalah Center access to their homes. It is begging for trouble to do so. They have no respect for the law and have done some terrible things to innocent people.

Athletes work hours a day, week in and week out, in grueling training sessions for years and not to have their careers derailed by a psychotic cult out for money and power via exploiting others. For the sake of your careers and well being, avoid them. They are not looking out for your best interest. They only seek to take advantage of you and fill your mind with mental illness, so they can control you and your assets.

Drugging

The Kabbalah Center is also known for drugging people. One of the main figures in the cult, Yehuda Berg, was sued recently for drugging, sexually assaulting and try to rape a woman that he threatened to beat and “f******g kill” for refusing his sexual advances. Members of the cult, known as chevre (see: slave) have also been drugged and brainwashed by the cult into engaging in illegal and unethical behavior (stalking, break-ins, acts of violence, theft, vandalism).

I can speak from experience regarding the Kabbalah Center that some of the non-famous members of the cult have broken into different people’s homes in America and Britain, among other places. Norman Oosterbrook, the bodyguard for Kabbalah members Jay-Z, Beyonce, Rihanna and Lady Gaga among others in the cult, was killed by police in Miami last year after breaking into a house in the city and rifling through the homeowners’ things. The break-in was not based in theft of items such as jewelry or electronics, as standard burglars do. When the Kabbalah Center arranges a break-in it is often to criminally plant hidden surveillance items (audio and video) and or steal copyrights, protected trade secrets, private documents or incriminating items regarding their misconduct apart of court cases.

During break-ins to my property that were reported to the police and FBI, a bottle of medicine I take for allergies was stolen and another bottle tampered with. I have allergies that I take medication to keep under control, as my doctor is only aware of a set number of items I am allergic to and over the past few years, we have discovered three new items I have a serious allergy to. For them to have stolen allergy medication and tampered with one of the allergy medicines the intruder didn’t steal, is vile and dangerous. It shows malicious intent.
