Footballer Lionel Messi And His Dad Sentenced To 21-Months In Jail On Tax Fraud Conviction

The Guardian newspaper is reporting that Barcelona football superstar, Lionel Messi and his dad, Jorge Messi, have been sentenced to 21-months in jail on tax fraud charges in Catalonia, Spain. They were given a suspended sentence, which means it is highly unlikely they will have to do actual jail time. Messi has also been assessed a $2,500,000 fine and ordered to pay $6,000,000 in back taxes. Messi's dad has been issued a $2,000,000 fine. Messi pled ignorance stating he did not read what he was signing, regarding the shell companies housing money from his image rights, in offshore locations such as Belize and Uruguay.

In February, Messi's fellow Barcelona teammate, Neymar, was also prosecuted for tax fraud in his native Brazil (Brazilian Judge Orders Neymar's Private Jet, Yacht And Sports Cars Seized In Tax Evasion Case). It appears select members of the Barcelona squad were given bad tax advice from the same source.

Lionel Messi Sentenced To 21-Months In Prison

Barcelona's Argentinian soccer star Lionel Messi has been sentenced to 21 months in prison and fined 2 million euros ($2.2 million) after being found guilty of three counts of tax fraud, a court in the Spanish city said on Wednesday. The court handed the same jail sentence to the Argentine soccer player's father, Jorge, and fined him 1.5 million euros. However, in Spain it is customary that those sentenced to under two years for non-violent crimes do not serve time in jail.

Messi, 29, and his father were accused by the Spanish tax office of defrauding the government of 4.2 million euros ($4.7 million) in tax between 2007 and 2009. The court found that they had used a web of shell companies to evade taxes on income from the player's image rights. Messi, five-times World Player of the Year, said during the trial that he had no knowledge of the dealings and that his father had control over his financial affairs...

The European Union Must Address Immigration Imbalances Threatening Select Member Nations Economic Future And Stability

The European Union is going through a transition period, as Britain recently voted to leave the EU. Without Britain's vast contribution of 350 million British pounds per month (19 billion British pounds per year) and other benefits, which could go in the next two years if the British government completes the process, the European Union will be working with significantly less money and resources. Hence the immense anger last week from select politicians in the European Union. However, it is better to be civil, as the British people have spoken and this is their democratic vote. Britain has been a great partner in the European Union and trade can continue that is beneficial to both parties.

The European Union must not be inflexible, which is what drove millions of British voters away. Concerns were not be heard regarding massive migration from other parts of the European Union and the strain and constraints it has placed on Britain. The United Kingdom’s massive population boom courtesy of immigration overwhelmed the system. Uneven levels of immigration became a massive problem, which sparked the success of the leave vote. As a recommendation to avoid any nation in the European Union buckling or outright collapsing due to this issue, the freedom of movement law needs to be revisited and revised.

The majority of the European Union traffic poured into Britain, namely London, England and overwhelmed their systems. Transportation, schools, hospitals and benefits offices became overwhelmed by the influx of millions of new permanent residents, many of whom are now receiving generous financial benefits and housing, as they came to Britain below the poverty line. Sensing the problem that was brewing, in 2009 the Judiciary Report published the article "Britain's Benefits" and a follow up entitled "Britain's Benefits Part 2" to recommend the benefits system be revised.

In America immigrants must wait for years before obtaining benefits and still have to meet certain stringent criteria (one must be sick or disabled). Food stamps and modest cash assistance is only granted to healthy people who are well below the poverty line and with children. The majority of these changes were implemented under former U.S. President, Bill Clinton, to ensure people coming to America seek to work, not indefinitely live on benefits.

Last year, the British government attempted to negotiate a rule that would require immigrants live in Britain for 4-years before receiving benefits. This would ensure those coming to Britain intend to work and pay their way, rather than take financial and housing benefits from the state indefinitely. However, negotiations on the matter fell through.

If Britain proceeds with invoking Article 50 of the Lisbon treaty to depart the European Union, a process that will take an estimated 2-years, Britain is going to get another massive influx as a last ditch attempt to enter the country from the EU. Then, upon Britain's completion of the process of leaving the European Union, immigration traffic will largely switch to Germany and France, two other sizeable economies in the EU. Germany and France are wealthy nations. Immigrants tend to migrate to nations that are the most economically prosperous and popular.

To further illustrate the fact the Judiciary Report was correct in its aforementioned 2009 articles on benefits, in April of 2016, the German government began proposing and pushing for new rules regarding limiting immigrants access to receiving benefits upon landing in their nation (see external article excerpt below under STORY SOURCE for further information). It is not that one is being xenophobic. It's simple mathematics. The average nation cannot afford to give millions of immigrants financial and housing benefits indefinitely (many can't give said financial assistance on a short term basis either). It could bankrupt any country.

To compound issues for Germany, it is estimated they took in nearly 1,000,000 migrants last year from places like Syria. No disrespect to Syria, but once again, how will Germany pay for housing, feeding and clothing a record number of migrants and find said non-German speaking masses steady employment (it is easier to find employment in a nation if you speak the national language).
Which brings me back to my point, the immigration levels in the European Union are untenable. It needs to be evenly distributed among the 28 member nations, meaning each country has a quota of how many immigrants it will take per year. One or two nations can't take the bulk of the traffic. That's lopsided and the proverbial boat that is the EU will sink.

For years millions in Europe poured out into Britain, namely London, England, a glamorous and wealth westernized city (and who can blame them, it's a great place to live). However, the European Union must be practical. No nation in this world can reasonably take that type of influx, year after year, many of whom are people who required financial and housing benefits, without damaging their economic structure. France and Germany are now in for the same influx Britain sustained from the EU and it is going to wreak economic havoc on them.

I love and respect France and Germany and don't want them to buckle under the financial pressure. I don't want the EU to collapse at all, but it is in a financially precarious place. Spain, a beautiful country, is having problems with a massive number of foreclosures, creating economic difficulties and stagnation. Greece, another beautiful country, is experiencing significant financial trouble and is seeking billions of dollars in bailout money.

The European Union must reform. Some of the rules need to change to strengthen the entire EU. You can't have key players in the European Union taking a financial walloping, as they are the back bone of the enterprise. If the key pillars crumble, the entire financial structure of the European Union will give way and collapse. Immigration must be handled in a more orderly fashion with even distribution. Proper budgetary constraints must be placed on nations in danger of collapsing, also accompanied by a regular assessment plan issued and implemented on how to get them out of said financial hole.

EU migration to Germany 'hits record high'

 
July 2, 2016 - Germany has proposed new legislation to limit EU migrants' access to welfare payments. Immigration to Germany from other European Union countries hit a new record of over 685,000 people last year, led by Romanians, Poles and Bulgarians, Die Welt daily said Saturday, citing official figures.

A total of 685,485 EU citizens arrived in Germany in 2015 while 303,036 left for a net increase of 382,449, the paper reported, saying it had access to data from the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF). Germany's economic success and relatively low unemployment has drawn people from the EU's poorer members in search of work and better lives.

Romanians topped the list of new arrivals in Germany last year with nearly 175,000, followed by Poles with almost 150,000 and Bulgarians with just over 70,000, Die Welt said.

Promises to limit immigration from other EU states played a key role in the campaign for Britain's membership referendum, which delivered a shock victory last week for the "leave" camp. In April, Germany tabled a proposed law to drastically limit EU migrants' access to welfare payments. Die Welt said a total of 4.1 million EU citizens currently live in Germany.

Scotland Considering Second Referendum To Leave Britain After Brexit Succeeded But Is It A Good Idea

In 2014 Scotland held a vote on whether to leave Britain. The Scottish people voted to remain with Britain. Last month, there was a vote conduct by Britain on whether to remain in the European Union. It resulted in a majority of Britons voting to depart the European Union. Last week, Scottish politician, Nicola Sturgeon, began expressing the view that Scotland wishes to remain in the European Union and may table a second referendum to begin a vote on leaving Britain.

Sturgeon went to the European Parliament last week, expressing this view, as 62% of the Scottish voters cast their ballot in favor of remaining in the European Union. However, Sturgeon was met with negative news from the European Union's political leaders. Spain and France revealed they would not negotiate with Scotland to remain in the Union, as they are apart of Britain. They also made clear Scotland would have to go through the lengthy process of reapplying to the European Union as an independent sovereign nation (not apart of Britain) which would have many requirements under a lengthy legislative process. Spain is also discouraging Scotland leaving Britain, not wanting its own nation to fracture, in reference to Catalonia.

The European Union wanted Britain to remain, as it contributes 350 million British pounds per month (19 billion British pounds per year), added to the region's military might, has taken in millions of immigrants from the 28 member collective of nations (EU), given them free health care, jobs and benefits to those unable to financially support themselves.

Though it is a pleasant nation with a healthy GDP, the view in the EU is that Scotland does not have the financial ability to give the European Union the type of money Britain has contributed every month, which is why the initial reaction among some member states has been to reject Sturgeon's attempts at joining the EU on behalf of her nation. In fact, according to a report in the Telegraph newspaper, Britain has been giving Scotland 7 billion British pounds every year in subsidies to help the nation.

The two nations also share extensive historical ties. I do respect Britain (that includes Scotland) and the European Union, it is my humble view Scotland is best with Britain. Respectfully I state, Scotland, be careful of going out there on your own, as you may end up realizing it was not the best arrangement for you, as your nation will be required to give more financially than you may end up receiving in trade, which equals debt.

29 June 2016 • 3:07pm - Nicola Sturgeon’s hopes of negotiating a deal to keep Scotland in the EU has suffered a major setback after Francois Hollande ruled out talks and the Spanish Prime Minister said it has to leave with the rest of the United Kingdom. Mariano Rajoy told a news conference following the European Council meeting in Brussels that the Scottish Government “does not have the competence” to negotiate with the European Union. He concluded: “If the United Kingdom leaves... Scotland leaves too.”

He was echoed by Mr Hollande, the French President, who insisted the EU will make no advance deal with Scotland. He said: "The negotiations will be conducted with the United Kingdom, not with a part of the United Kingdom.” During a chastening visit to Brussels yesterday for Ms Sturgeon, Jean-Claude Juncker, the European Commission president, also made clear that neither he nor European Council president Donald Tusk would “interfere in the British process” by negotiating with Scotland.

A series of other member states, including Germany, also said they would not get involved in “internal” British politics. Mr Rajoy’s uncompromising stance appears to make a second independence referendum more likely, as Ms Sturgeon has said that she will propose one if that is the “best or only way to protect Scotland’s place in the EU.”

But his statement also suggests that a separate Scotland would start life outside the EU and have to negotiate entry, a process that could take years and involve adoption of the euro, a hard border with England and tight public spending controls. The First Minister put a brave face on the interventions, saying Spain’s views represented a “starting position” and she was still “optimistic” about reaching an agreement after Scots voted by a margin of 62 per cent to 38 per cent last week for Remain.

2 days ago - SCOTS didn’t vote for Scotland to stay in the EU, a Conservative MSP has said. Adam Tomkins, Conservative MSP for Glasgow, said there is no separate Scottish negotiating position and as such he said Nicola Sturgeon should get involved in the UK negotiating team taking the country out of the EU.

He said the First Minister’s “talents” would be best deployed under a UK effort. Prof Tomkins, elected in May to Holyrood, is a leading constitutional academic who campaigned for a remain vote but he wants a UK team to get the best for Scotland. He said: “Scotland did not vote to remain in the EU, Scotland voted for the United Kingdom to remain in the EU.

“There’s no mandate here for any interpretation that the people of Scotland decided that Scotland must be a member state in its own right. “So I think words matter and we need to be clear.” The new MSP said that he supports David Cameron’s call for a “team UK” in negotiations with all the Prime Minister the three devolved administrations and the London Mayor taking key roles...

Britain Votes To Leave The EU

Britain has voted to leave the EU. The British people have spoken. The will of the people must be honored. Britain belongs to the British people and they get to decide what they do with it (much like in any other sovereign nation). British Prime Minister, David Cameron, has resigned after backing the failed move to remain in the EU. Cameron stated a new Prime Minister will be selected in October 2016. People online have commented that U.S. President Barack Obama’s trip to Britain a few months ago regarding remaining in the EU, did the movement more harm than good. Britons do not want to be told what to do by Obama or any other leader they did not elect.

Cameron has done good things for Britain, via austerity and proper tax collection, which helped to guide the nation out of the 2008 financial crisis that emanated from Wall Street. Financial cuts were needed and it helped to increase Britain’s fortunes. The pound has lost some of its value due to the vote to leave prevailing, but is still holding. Markets all over the world have lost some of their value as well, in what is a correction to reflect the current vote.

There is no need to panic. Britain will be just fine. The Chinese yuan is relatively low and China is still a prosperous, industrious, wealthy nation. The key to flourishing in the world is producing goods and services people want and need. Britain has many great products and services people want and need. Britain has innovative companies in the area of finances, automotive, food and clothing, among others. The Premier League is also the biggest tourist attraction in Britain bringing in 5 billion pounds annually from visitors.

Britain is one of the oldest countries in the world. It is a very nice place to live. It is peaceful and civil. It is a great country that has survived a lot throughout history. Brexit is just a hiccup. That’s not to insult the EU, as there are many great countries in it as well. I love and admire nations such as France and Spain, among others.

Some believe Britain’s vote to leave the EU was based on discontent regarding immigration levels, which have dramatically surged. With the freedom to move among the EU nations, many Britons complained that the “traffic is moving in one direction” into Britain, creating new costs the British taxpayers had to underwrite. Many members of the British public feared the country would not be able to handle the added long-term financial costs.

Britain has free healthcare via the NHS and cash benefits to those who need it. People were moving into Britain from other parts of the EU and getting free healthcare, financial benefits and council housing. No nation in the EU can afford to indefinitely accommodate the level of traffic Britain received, plus pay 12 billion pounds per year into the Union as well. One nation could not sustain that indefinitely.

No country is perfect. However, I will state this, I know Britain well and I have not found it to be a racist or xenophobic country. There are many interracial marriages in Britain. There are also many marriages in Britain among local Britons and foreigners. On the whole, Brits are very open minded people. They do try to fight racism and xenophobia within the scope of the law, using legislation and court imposed penalties. Therefore, the vote was about a financial concern of many in Britain. Based on comments I have read in the lead up to the vote, I think the biggest gripe of the British people is the sum of money the country has been paying to the EU.

At the end of the day, the British people have the right to determine the future they want for their nation. That’s how democracy works. It is nice to see that though many in the British government wanted to remain in the EU, the vote wasn’t rigged.

The British people need to work together for a great future for Britain. Even if the vote did not go how you wanted it to, you still have a great country worth treasuring and preserving. Therefore, stand together and make things work. Invest in your country and the nation’s future.

Arsenal F.C. squares off today against Barcelona F.C. in London, England. Reports indicate Barcelona footballer Luis Suarez, forgot his passport at home and nearly missed his flight to London today. However, an overly efficient Barcelona staffer rushed to Suarez's house and quickly brought the passport to the airport, getting him on the plane on time, in defiance of my malevolent benevolent prayer days prior on Twitter that they be banned from Britain (you know God was in heaven like "No she didn't just ask Me to do that" LOL).

Alexis Sanchez is a former Barcelona player, who now plays for Arsenal. He could give Arsenal insight to Barcelona's methods and things of that nature.

You have to admit it though, Suarez leaving his passport at home is ironic and humorous, in light of what I have jokingly been tweeting on Twitter, asking God to ban him from Britain (where London is located) and his fellow top scorers Neymar and Lionel Messi. I've also jokingly been communicating my willingness to bribe someone in British immigration with a meal at Nandos in exchange for banning them (yet British immigration amazingly managed to let the entire Barcelona squad through the airport and probably wished them a great trip too LOL).

Seriously, this has the potential to be one of the biggest matches of the year. These types of matches are good for football. It draws considerable public interest to the top sport in the world. Arsenal are considered the underdogs, as Messi. Neymar and Suarez are widely considered the top attacking trio in the world. However, Arsenal, who also has quality talent, is presented with the opportunity to rise to the challenge and give Barcelona a tough match (don't be intimidated by their stature, as they are mortals too). Hope it all goes well and everyone has a great time on both sides playing, "The Beautiful Game."

Suarez forgets his passport ahead of Barcelona's Champions League clash with Arsenal

22 Feb 2016 20:09:00 - A club official from Barca was forced to race back to the Uruguayan's home but the striker was able to make Monday's flight without delay. It’s the nightmare everyone potentially faces at an airport but for Luis Suarez, forgetting your passport is not the end of the world. The Spanish champions made their way to Barcelona airport on Monday morning ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday evening.

But instead of leaving Suarez to browse the duty-free bargains, Barcelona sent a club official racing back to the Uruguayan’s home to fetch his passport. Unfortunately for Arsenal, Suarez, who has already scored 41 goals in 37 games this season, was able to make the flight with his team-mates and took part in training on Monday night.

Judge orders Neymar assets seized in tax case

 

February 16, 2016 7:12 pm - A Brazilian judge has ordered the seizure of a private jet, a luxury yacht and other goods worth a total of R$192.8m (US$47.3m) from Neymar, the country’s biggest football star. The case against Neymar da Silva Santos Junior, who is accused of using shell companies to avoid taxes, mostly relates to his career at the Brazilian team Santos between 2011 and 2013. He is also at the centre of a separate case in Spain over alleged irregularities in his transfer from Santos to Barcelona, the reigning European champions. 

“There were omissions of revenue received from sources inside and outside the national territory,” said the court ruling from a federal judge in Santos. The case against Neymar, who like most Brazilian footballers is generally known by his first name, comes as the country’s elites face increasing scrutiny from regulatory authorities...Prosecutors allege the star used marketing and other shell companies to distribute his earnings in such a way that he paid less tax...

Things have been difficult for singer Mariah Carey. Her marriage and career have crumbled. Carey's husband, record label, manager and publicist have dropped her. Now a flight of stairs have as well. While Carey was vacationing in Spain with her new boyfriend, James Packer, a man her fans criticized based on his appearance (and there's nothing wrong with how he looks) the singer took a tumble down some concrete stairs.

Why Carey thought it appropriate to go sightseeing and tethering around in said high heeled shoes is a mystery, as she could have seriously injured herself in a terrible fall. Carey is planning a musical comeback after her most two most recent albums flopped with fans and on the charts. The question is will her voice hold up, as it is not doing so now.

Despite all the studio compression and Autotune software being used to make Carey's damaged voice sound passable, the deterioration can still be heard on the singer's albums. Will Carey have surgery and or begin to take vocal lessons, which at this point in her career she finds demeaning, in light of where her voice once was during her hay day in the 1990s. 

In other news, there has been no official word that Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon's divorce has been finalized, after the comedian filed legal papers in court to dissolve their union after 6-years of marriage. Reports indicate Cannon has been stating Carey, who is in Kabbalah, is crazy. Cannon has been disgracefully bedding different women and now Carey is dating Packer. Cannon also sued Carey over the sale of their $9,00,000 Bel Air home, stating it was done without his authorization.

Rising British boxing star, Anthony Crolla, was viciously attacked in a home invasion near his property in Manchester, England. It is thought he stumbled upon a burglary happening in the vicinity of his property. Crolla was due to fight fellow boxer, Richar Abril, in January 2015 for the WBA lightweight title, but due to the severe head injury and broken ankle he sustained in the burglary, the fight has been cancelled. Crolla was hospitalized with a fractured skull, after he was hit over the head with a concrete slab. The Judiciary Report wishes him a speedy recovery.

Crolla is the second Matchroom boxer to be attacked in the past few months, in what is a disturbing pattern. He is also the third boxer to be attacked in the past few months, in acts that resulted in the cancellation of a Matchroom fight. Boxers, Kell Brook and Jamie Moore, were attacked in Spain in separate incidents, while on vacation. Now Crolla has been attacked at home. One has to wonder if the company is being targeted due to its success and rising status in the boxing world. Be safe.

The Knife Attack On Boxer Kell Brook Is More Proof You Can’t Trust People You Don’t Know

While holidaying in Tenerife, an island of Spain, world IBF welterweight boxing champion, Kell Brook, of Sheffield, England, was viciously stabbed by a man he’d met hours prior at a local bar. Brook was celebrating with other Brits on the island and was befriended by many people. Many were kind to him, one was not. 

After sending his pregnant wife back to their hotel after dinner via cab, Brook went to a bar with an elderly British couple. There, the champ celebrated with other Brits. When the party moved to the bar manager’s flat at closing time, an inebriated Brook followed along, celebrating after months of arduous, alcohol free training and winning the IBF title. 

After the party, Brook went drinking at the flat of one of the party-goers. A slightly worse for wear Brook was having a conversation with the man, while they drank. Brook stated the conversation quickly turned from boxing to claims street fighters are better and out of nowhere the man attacked the boxer with a large knife, chopping at his leg. It left a huge, gaping wound with blood pouring from it, endangering Brook's life.

Brook fled the apartment and sought help from his assailant’s neighbor, feverishly knocking on their window and door, before passing out from extreme blood loss that could have result in fatal exsanguination. Brook woke up in a hospital shortly after and police contacted the mother of his children at the hotel. The Daily Mail, who interviewed the boxing star, stated they know the identity of his assailant. However, they declined to publish his name. Police have not made an arrest at this time and are currently investigating the matter. 

Brook comes across as an unassuming man, which is a good trait, but some people will take advantage of that if allowed. After hearing good and bad stories for years since I was a kid, about what can go right and wrong in the sports and entertainment industries, one thing my dad, a veteran in both fields always emphasized is, one has to be careful regarding whom one trusts. 

There are some unsavory characters in this world. Not everyone is your friend. Some are decent people. However, some are wolves in sheep’s clothing. Sometimes it is hard to tell the difference until they show their true colors and the damage is done. I know at times the Judiciary Report can take on a very serious and somewhat pessimistic tone, but that’s because I know and have seen the good as well as the very bad things can happen to people in the entertainment and sports industries.

You must realize, not everyone will wish you well. Some will seek to use, exploit and harm you. Not everyone has morals. As one of my favorite teachers used to say when I would wonder why people do cruel things to others, “Not everyone was raised by your mama.” A lot of you need to remember that, not everyone was raised the way you were. Just because you wouldn’t do something cruel, doesn’t mean others won’t.

Don’t be paranoid and negative, but be a realist, hoping for the best. Be smart and selective about those in your circle, because not everyone in life will mean you well. It’s a cold, hard fact, but it is true. It’s a sad day when you have to evaluate friendships, both existing and potential ones, but when you get to a certain place in life, you have to do so for your own protection and preservation. Trust is earned. Don’t just give it away. Protect yourself, your family and your finances.

A Second British Boxer Attacked On Vacation In Spain Leading To The Postponement Of Another Fight

In the August 9, 2014 article, Boxer Shot Five Times In Gangster Attack Leading To Postponement Of Show, the Judiciary Report wrote about the shooting of well-liked English boxer, Jamie Moore, who was shot 5 times in a hit whilst on vacation in Spain at the home of the son of drug kingpin, Christy Kinahan. Some called it a case of mistaken identity. The criminal remains at large. It derailed and delayed the Matchroom Boxing fight Moore's boxer, Matthew Macklin, was scheduled to participate it.

One month later, the newly crowned IBF welterweight champion of the world, Kell Brook, was stabbed in the leg while on vacation in Spain, leading to significant blood loss and hospitalization. The criminal remains at large. It mirrored the unprovoked attack on Moore. It has also resulted in the cancellation of Brook's Matchroom Boxing title defense fight that was scheduled for December 6, 2014.

Ironically, days before the attack on affable Brook, on August 31, 2014, the Sun Newspaper reported, rival boxer Amir Khan had posted a photo of a knife accompanied by the caption "I won't kill him. But I'll watch him die." It provoked outrage online, due to ISIS beheadings, prompting Khan to delete the post. However, the Judiciary Report is not of the belief Khan had anything to do with Brook's stabbing.

Is someone targeting people associated with Matchroom Boxing fights. The 30-year-old company has experienced a resurgence this year, with a number of high profile sold out shows in Britain and victories in Europe and the United States, which has significantly raised its profile in the press and boxing world. These attacks need to stop, as boxers don't deserve this type of treatment, especially after all the risks they take going into the ring and putting their physical health on the line.

Former European boxing champion turned trainer, Jamie Moore, 35, who hails from Manchester, England, was shot five times while on vacation in Spain. Moore was vacationing at the $3,000,000 mansion of gangster, Daniel Kinahan, who is the son of Irish cocaine drug kingpin, Christy Kinahan. Reports indicate it was a case of mistaken identity, as Moore was "kneecapped" with two of the bullets hitting each leg. 

Moore was training Irish boxer, Matthew Macklin, who was set to headline a sold out Matchroom Boxing show in Dublin, Ireland on August 30, 2014. The show has now been postponed. Moore took to Twitter and stated, "It's at times like this that you realise how well your thought of. I've had unbelievable support. Means a lot it really does. Thanks for all the well wishes. Overwhelmed. Gutted and confused about what happened, but thank God I'm ok."

This incident is another example of how unpredictable sports can be for money and the importance to save one's earnings. Moore quit boxing in 2010 after a doctor informed him a routine scan had revealed changes in his brain. Just like that, his boxing career had come to an end, right before he was in contention for a world title. 

A second example of how unpredictable sports can be for many, the aforementioned shooting has delayed and possibly destroyed a payday for all the boxers on the postponed "Return Of The Mack" boxing bill in Dublin that was scheduled for August 30, 2014. 

Once again, this is why the Judiciary Report has repeatedly emphasized in articles that athletes (and entertainers) in general, should save their money, spend wisely and seek sound business choices, as anything can happen.

Manchester United football star, Ryan Giggs' was the subject of a scathing June 21, 2011 interview, granted by his sister-in-law, Natasha Giggs, in Closer magazine. She went into the relationship with Giggs' 33-year-old brother, Rhodri, with the intent of staying close to the football player. The World Is Not Going To End On May 21, 2011

Retired New York transit worker, Robert Fitzpatrick, has wasted $140,000 in advertising money, for a series of ads insisting the world is going to come to an end on May 21, 2011. The ads state, "Global Earthquake! The Greatest Ever - Judgment Day: May 21." Judgment Day is not May 21, 2011.

I wish people would not proclaim such things and in the name of God. The Bible does speak of a day where the world as we know it will end by fire, popularly believed to be an asteroid, thus creating it anew. However, the Bible does not indicate the actual date of the event, but gives an indication of the general time period in history, based on world events that are to happen prior to this cosmic event. This is not it.

Having written that, I do believe a massive earthquake is coming to Los Angeles in the near future that is going to cause catastrophic, unprecedented damage and many deaths. I do believe it will be stronger on the Richter scale than the recent earthquakes in Haiti, Japan and Spain. It was also an imprudent idea for the state to allow people to build on such potent faults, due to the seismic shifts that occur on them. One of the most potent, San Andreas, runs right under what is now downtown Los Angeles, among other places, which is ram packed with skyscrapers. Skyscrapers and very potent earthquakes do not mix.

There is another school of thought, based on the Mayan calendar, which allegedly states, the world will end in 2012 (you know, like that stupid Sony movie). However, I am of the belief, the world will not end in 2012. I do however, believe 2012 will be a turning point for the world that will produce many events, both stunningly good and shockingly bad. But time will go on beyond next year.

The purpose of Bible prophecy is to be a source of reassurance to believers, that God is who He says He is and knows, "The Beginning from the end." God is the Creator and knows the past and the future with absolute certainty, a gift He originated and shared in part with a few prophets, such as Joseph and Daniel in the Bible.

During their time, people believed the words of the prophets, because they were able to accurately predict the future, something only God would know and could share - as God is everywhere and knows everything, when time began and when it will renew. He created time.

In closing, God wants each person to change their unethical ways, place their faith in Christ and live a good and decent life. He wants you to live each day as if the last, not try to make it the last.

Seeing as though Arsenal is my favorite football team, I've been laughing at the next story...a lot. Real Madrid won the Copa del Rey trophy and took it out for a spin in an open top bus, during a celebratory parade held in front of thousands of cheering people.

Football player, Sergio Ramos, hoisted the trophy in the air and for a while had a pretty good grip on it. Notice I said "for a while." It wasn't long before he lost his grip on the trophy and it went tumbling down the front of the bus, landing under it.

The driver, not realizing what transpired, promptly crushed the trophy under the wheels of the bus. Wow, football and comedy in the same story. You can't beat that (but apparently you can drop it). As funny as this story is, I feel bad for Ramos, as it was an accident. Still, that doesn't mean I'm not laughing...hard.

She returned home to scathing press articles and angry blog comments, denouncing the price tag of the expensive vacation.

Racist radio talk show host, Rush Limbaugh, who flies everywhere by private jet, inappropriately stated she is only able to do such things, due to white guilt from slavery. He really is out of line and completely wrong, as this is not a color thing, but an expenditure issue. Furthermore, Mrs. Obama was a six-figure earning attorney, before moving to the White House with the President, who is also a lawyer. They weren't on welfare, Mr. Limbaugh.

Mrs. Obama is not the first, First Lady to overspend, as Nancy Reagan also incurred public criticism for constantly purchasing expensive designer dresses.

However, this is not the extremely wealthy America of the 1980s. This is debt ridden America of 2010, with a $13 trillion deficit. Therefore, such an expenditure hit home this time, as America is facing the worst financial crisis in the nation's history, brought on by former President, George W. Bush and his corporate cronies.

The Judiciary Report has been stating for months the Obamas need to knock it off with the vacations, as it does not look good at this time. Mrs. Obama's trip was ill-conceived, ill-advised and ill-timed (nothing against Spain, as it is a lovely country).

The fact still remains, the Obamas need to refrain from such spending and keep in mind, the sensitive financial climate in the nation, which is upsetting many Americans, who rightfully view this crisis as something not of their own making. Once again, Bush is to blame. However, Obama's spending is making it worse. This is not a time for vacations, but hard work and thrift.

Side Bar: Maybe someone needs to install a moderately priced spa in the White House to help them de-stress. It would save the taxpayers a lot of money in vacation time.
