President Barack Obama Slammed In Government Report For Spending $3,600,000 Of Taxpayer Money On One Weekend Of Golfing With Tiger Woods

The U.S. Government Accountability Office has released a report slamming President Barack Obama for spending $3,600,000 of American taxpayer money on one weekend of golfing in Illinois and Florida in February 2016. Obama spent the weekend golfing with Tiger Woods, whose putter he can't even carry (I'm not going to indulge Obama's delusional fantasy that he is Tiger Woods on the golf course and Michael Jordan on the basketball court).

I ask, what is wrong with the golf courses near the White House in Washington, D.C., Virginia and Maryland. Many people use them and have no complaints. Yet Obama is constantly flying to Florida and Hawaii to golf and on the taxpayers' dime. It doesn't look good. They have no conscience. They went into office virtually broke, then along with their cronies, raided the U.S. treasury.

Obama has been living like a king on taxpayer money and so has his wife, First Lady, Michelle Obama. They have spent more taxpayer money on themselves than any other first couple in U.S. history. They should be embarrassed and ashamed of that. Being head of state is about public service, not the public serving you with their time and tax dollars.

Senator John Barrasso, the ranking member of the Senate Environment and Public Works Subcommittee on Transportation, excoriated Obama for his wasteful conduct, regarding the pricey Illinois and Florida golf trip. Barrasso stated, "At a time when government agencies and programs were preparing to implement tough cost saving measures in order to meet the budgetary constraints of sequestration, President Obama chose to use taxpayer money for a weekend trip to play golf."

This $3,600,000 golf trip adds to the $70,000,000 the Obamas have disgracefully spent on vacations while in office (that massive figure does not even include their expensive  vacations this year, as they've not been included in the tally at this time). Do you know how many poor people could have been fed with that money. Do you know how many teenagers could have been sent to university with that money.

Obama's behavior is this regard is terrible. It shows a great lack of character and decency to waste taxpayer money on such a grand scale. It's a sign of poor breeding. There's no excuse for this and to make it worse, it occurred during difficult financial times in America.

Taxpayer Tab For Obama Trip That Included Golf With Tiger Woods: $3.6 Million

11:13 PM 10/24/2016 - Taxpayers shelled out millions of dollars in 2013 when the golf-addicted President Obama took Air Force One to Florida on vacation and played a round of golf with Tiger Woods, according to a new government study. From Feb. 15-18 in 2013, the president went on a four day trip that included an official speech in Chicago and some leisure time in Palm Beach, Florida.

According to a forthcoming report by the Government Accountability Office that was obtained early by The Daily Caller, the government spent a total of $3.6 million to fly, protect and support the president during this trip to Illinois and Florida. The GAO report was requested by Sen. John Barrasso, a Republican senator from Wyoming. The letter was sent during the political debates of 2013 over the automatic spending cuts to government services, known as sequestration.

In November of 2013, Barrasso — who was the ranking member of the Senate Environment and Public Works Subcommittee on Transportation and Infrastructure — asked the comptroller general of the United States to have the GAO “assess the costs to taxpayers for President Obama’s trip to Florida in February.”

“At a time when government agencies and programs were preparing to implement tough cost-saving measures in order to meet the budgetary constraints of sequestration,” Barrasso wrote, “President Obama chose to use taxpayer money for a weekend trip to play golf. I have heard from a number of concerned constituents in my state who believe the money used for this trip could have been spent in a manner that would have reduced the federal deficit or have helped reduce the impact of sequestration on the public.”...

A time is coming when the federal government will no longer be able to afford to financially stay afloat. Obama simply spent too much money, more than the second biggest spender in American history, former president, George W. Bush. Austerity (for a time) is not a bad thing. Austerity is not a bad word. Throughout history it has saved global economies.

After repeatedly objecting to Freedom Of Information Act requests, regarding expenses related to luxury vacations taken by U.S. President Obama and his family, documents have finally been released due to a Judicial Watch lawsuit. It immediately becomes obvious why Obama and his Secret Service fought to unlawfully and unethically hide the files in violation of congressional law. Some of the hidden files now reveal the Obamas have cost the American taxpayer a whopping $70,880,035.78 in luxury vacations 99% of the world could only dream of taking.

At a time when the economy is bad in America, many people are struggling to make ends meet and a record number of individuals are below the poverty line, it is highly inappropriate that the Obamas are taking such luxury vacations. The Obama's Christmas vacation in Hawaii a year ago cost the U.S. taxpayers $8,000,000. Haven't they ever heard of a staycation, where you stay your backside at home, because you can't afford to pay for an out of town vacation.

There are so many homeless, hungry people in America that it is messed up to think the Obamas spent that much money on vacations. It is inexcusable and shows a great lack of conscience. I'm not stating they can't have a vacation, but $70,880,035.78 worth is egregiously excessive by any decent person's standards (and some of the expenses remain hidden, as 28 incriminating pages have been held back). If I were in office anywhere in the world I would have never done something like that at the taxpayers' expense. That money could have been put to far greater use.

Side Bar: What was the sense of Congress enacting the Freedom Of Information Act, when agencies like the FBI, Secret Service, NSA and CIA routinely flout it in violation of the law. Ask any journalist or blogger who has tried to obtain documents under the U.S. Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and you will be apprised of the fact the government is one of the least transparent in the world, despite claiming to be otherwise.

Federal agencies will lie, hide files, move files out of the office, misfile items under deliberately misspelled names so when the FOIA request is submitted they can pretend in writing it can't be found or does not exist. If it is incriminating to someone well known, you pay certain federal employees the right bribe and they will hide the files, even if there is a public threat to health, life and safety. They will hide the criminal conduct of people and companies greatly endangering the public's health and safety. They will hide the crimes of the rich and or famous. They will suppress serious investigations into financial crimes. It is completely disgraceful, dishonorable and dishonest.

However, a time is coming when some government employees will face serious federal charges in criminal court for hiding terrible FOIA files, because you can only disgrace Congress so much to the nation and the world via your bad behavior they are legally charged with keeping watch over and in check, before they sacrifice your freedom to protect the legislature's name and image.

Judicial Watch: Secret Service Expenses for Obama’s 2013 Hawaii Christmas Vacation Cost Taxpayers $316,698.03, Taxpayers Paid Over $8 Million for 17-Day Vacation

DECEMBER 29, 2015 - (Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced today that it recently received expense records from the Department of Homeland Security revealing that Secret Service expenses for the Obama family vacation to Honolulu during December 2013-January 2014 cost taxpayers at least $316,698.03. These new expenses bring the total for the Hawaii Christmas vacation trip to $8,098,060.33. The Secret Service waited nearly two years to produce the requested numbers to Judicial Watch.

The heavily redacted records were obtained on December 28 in response to a January 6, 2014, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request. According to the records:

$91,751.78 in car rental expenses were paid. $224,974.05 in accommodation expenses were paid to Cabana Girl, LLC and Paradise Luxury Rentals. The documents are heavily redacted and the Secret Service is withholding 28 pages in their entirety. Saying he was “eager to skip town” Obama took his family to Honolulu on December 20, 2013, for a 17-day Christmas vacation. As reported by The Washington Post:

The presidential motorcade ferried the Obamas across Oahu, the state’s most populous island, to the well-to-do oceanfront neighborhood of Kailua, where as in years past they have rented a private home for what this time will be a 17-day holiday vacation. For the sixth straight year, Obama plans to spend Christmas and New Year’s in Hawaii, gathering with extended family and friends — and, yes, perfecting his golf game.

In March 2014, Judicial Watch released flight expense records from the U.S. Department of the Air Force revealing that for this Hawaii vacation the Obamas incurred $7,781,361.30 in flight expenses alone (36.9 hours at $210,877 an hour). This was the first Judicial Watch FOIA request about Obama’s security costs the Secret Service has answered since July, 2014.

Last month, Judicial Watch separately sued the Department of Homeland Security for ignoring 19 other FOIA requests. The FOIA lawsuit asks the court to enjoin the Secret Service from continuing to withhold responsive documents from Judicial Watch (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Homeland Security (No. 1:15-cv-01983)). The known total expense to the American taxpayers thus far for all Obama travel is now $70,880,035.78.

“It seems our lawsuits finally got the attention of the Secret Service. It is easy to see why the Secret Service, reeling from its own scandals, covered up these outrageous expense numbers for just one of Obama’s luxury Christmas vacation,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “The $317,000 in Secret Service expenses are only the tip of the iceberg for the true cost of Obama’s 2013 vacation in Hawaii, which has now skyrocketed to $8,098,060. It is nice to know that Obama’s ‘tradition’ of Christmas vacations in Hawaii comes courtesy of overburdened taxpayers.”

But I'll watch him die." It provoked outrage online, due to ISIS beheadings, prompting Khan to delete the post. However, the Judiciary Report is not of the belief Khan had anything to do with Brook's stabbing.

Is someone targeting people associated with Matchroom Boxing fights. The 30-year-old company has experienced a resurgence this year, with a number of high profile sold out shows in Britain and victories in Europe and the United States, which has significantly raised its profile in the press and boxing world. Due to the tough economic times in America, people are stating the Obamas should reflect a tone of austerity, to match what is happening in the nation. The Obamas have not commented on this criticism regarding their vacation expenses.

The two have received a significant amount of bad publicity this year, regarding several high profile fiascoes, such as Beyonce lip-syncing at President Obama's inauguration, her performance at the Super Bowl blowing out the electricity to the stadium, her song "Bow Down" being widely slammed and criticized and their hacked credit reports leaking revealing Jay-Z is heavily in debt and delinquent on bills.

In the legal world, one never knows, as a crafty enough lawyer could file suit stating it was somehow Bieber's fault the paparazzo died, after trailing the singer's Ferrari for the day and being told by police to stand back, which led to vehicular homicide via a passing car. Before Guerra died, he is said to have told a friend he saw Bieber smoking marijuana in the Ferrari and was pursing him for that money shot.

U.S. President Barack Obama has cut short his annual Christmas vacation in Hawaii, to return to the White House in Washington, D.C. due to the fiscal cliff standoff. Obama's Democrats and rival Republicans are still squarely opposed to each other's ideas on the financial direction America should take.

As the year is winding down, so is time in this matter and it is concerning the corporate sector and citizens alike that no amicable solution that both parties can agree on has been reached. If the matter is not resolved before the New Year kicks in, changes will automatically go into effect that neither party agrees on.

With his poll numbers down, members of his political party turning on him, his Attorney General, Eric Holder, facing contempt charges in Congress and presidential challenger Mitt Romney beating him in major polls such as Gallup and Rasmussen, President Obama has opted for a few days away from the pressure pit that is Washington.    

The First Family of America have decided to spend the weekend in Chicago, where they own a home that was purchased in a controversial real estate deal. This is awfully scaled down for them. What? None of the usual exotic vacations with lobster, caviar, champagne and expensive cuts of beef on the taxpayers' tab, while the nation careens into poverty? 

The Obamas are used to very expensive vacations, with plush rentals and exorbitantly priced food that exceeds most people's weekly grocery bills, in just one meal. Meanwhile, according to a newly released report, American wealth has plummeted due to the current financial crisis, with households in the United States, seeing a 40% decline in income and assets, stripping away 18-years of progress in the space of 3-years.

The president is very good at spending other people's money. $5 trillion of it, in fact. It has left America in a terrible quagmire, regarding how to get rid of $5 trillion in debt President Obama irresponsibly ran up in a couple years. You can't call that an improvement. The nation has regressed.

Obama supporters need to wake up and smell the coffee, as that debt is going to take generations to payoff, saddling your children and your children's children with a financial burden they did not create, which will hamper America in the world. It was not good economics.

President Barack Obama was confronted in an interview, regarding taking a number of expensive vacations, while many Americans can no longer afford to, due to the ongoing financial crisis. Interviewer Larry Conners stated something the Judiciary Report has for many months, President Obama has become "out of touch" with the people.

For well over a year, the Judiciary Report has advised it is best for Obama to cancel his vacations and his family needs to tone it down in this regard as well. Taking a few days off at home would have been better and sent the right message in these tough economic times. The virtues of cost cutting, thrift and leading by example are lost on the First Couple, which is a shame, as the nation is in the midst of a financial crisis that is worsening.

It is being reported Mrs. Obama's travel expenses will cost the taxpayers at least $100,000 this Christmas in avoidable fees, enough to feed many families.

She is also being criticized for the number of vacations she has taken this year and the millions it has cost the taxpayers. In these tough economic times, when people are losing their jobs, homes and savings, the First Family need to remember that these extravagances do not look good in any fashion. It is causing anger and resentment on many message boards and feedback columns all over the internet, with complaints from suffering Americans struggling under Obama's failed financial policies.

The latest financial numbers and stats released on the U.S. economy are not pretty. Unemployment is up, the dollar is down setting record lows, more banks are closing and the stock market keeps tumbling in triple digit numbers.

Maybe Obama's time would be better spent in Washington, D.C. in the White House, working on the economy. It really wasn't a good time for a vacation, when so many people in America are suffering and can't afford one.
