U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch Pleads The Fifth In Congress Keeping Silent About Why President Barack Obama Gave Iran $1.7 Billion Dollars In Violation Of American Government Policy

It was recently revealed that U.S. President Barack Obama, gave Iran $1.7 billion dollars of taxpayer money, in violation of the American government policy. The Iranian government, who has nuclear ambitions, has repeatedly threatened to blow America off the map. Iran has made no secret of its contempt and hatred for America and wish to see the nation out of existence via nuclear strikes. Yet, Barack Obama took taxpayer money, and may I add, money he did not earn, and gave it to the Iranian government. 

The U.S. Congress pressed Obama's Attorney General, Loretta Lynch, on the matter and she suspiciously and incriminatingly pled the Fifth Amendment. The Fifth Amendment in America is apart of the U.S. Constitution one can invoke to prevent stating something that could lead to one's imprisonment.

I'm not even Attorney General and I want to discuss the matter as it is serious and alarming. Obama just outrageously gave $1.7 billion dollars, not even million, billion dollars, to a world government who has openly expressed it wants to use nuclear weapons to destroy America. Well, thanks to Obama, now they have the money to do so. This has got to be one of the stupidest, most sinister and corrupt things I have ever seen in my life. Obama needs to be held accountable for his behavior.

Lynch ‘Pleads Fifth’ on Secret Iran ‘Ransom’ Payments

October 28, 2016 11:22 am - Attorney General Loretta Lynch is declining to comply with an investigation by leading members of Congress about the Obama administration’s secret efforts to send Iran $1.7 billion in cash earlier this year, prompting accusations that Lynch has “pleaded the Fifth” Amendment to avoid incriminating herself over these payments, according to lawmakers and communications exclusively obtained by the Washington Free Beacon. 

Sen. Marco Rubio (R., Fla.) and Rep. Mike Pompeo (R., Kan.) initially presented Lynch in October with a series of questions about how the cash payment to Iran was approved and delivered. In an Oct. 24 response, Assistant Attorney General Peter Kadzik responded on Lynch’s behalf, refusing to answer the questions and informing the lawmakers that they are barred from publicly disclosing any details about the cash payment, which was bound up in a ransom deal aimed at freeing several American hostages from Iran.

Reality star Kim Kardashian and her annoying husband, Kanye West, slammed Taylor Swift as a liar, for stating she was unaware he would call her a "b***h" in a song. West and Kardashian sneakily and unethically recorded a telephone conversation with Swift, without her consent, where they supposedly got the singer to admit she knew about the contents of the rapper's song labeling her a "b***h."

People who are subjected to sexual exploitation, often turn to drugs and alcohol to block out their negative experiences in this regard. Ashley Madison Adultery Website Customers Hit With Extortion Letters Sent To Their Wives And FTC Opens Investigation

The Ashley Madison adultery website that was the subject of a massive hack in 2015, is under investigation by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission for fraud. The website promised customers they would be interacting with live females looking to have an affair. However, it has been discovered, many customers were talking to "female chatbots" (computers or women paid to converse with multiple customers).

The personal and identifying data of a number of Ashley Madison's customers was swiped by hackers, who have been engaging in additional illegal activity with the information. During the scandal that embarrassingly disclosed the names of a number of men and women cheating on their spouses, hackers began sending blackmail letters to said adulterers' spouses in extortion attempts. Recipients of the letters were ordered to pay $2,500. If they failed to do so items relating to their spouse's affair would be sent to family members and friends. The individuals hacking and blackmailing others need to be prosecuted.

The Ashley Madison website has been an unmitigated disaster of global proportions and it's just as well. Adultery is destructive and has broken many families, leaving lives scarred. People need not buy into the hype of adultery nor those who glamorize it. You pay a price for it. It's not worth it. Be faithful to your spouse.

"Life is short, have an affair" was the slogan of infidelity website Ashley Madison, which was famously hacked in 2015. What they didn't say was that you might be having a strictly online affair with a fake female profile, designed to trick you into entering your credit card details, under the misapprehension that you were chatting with a real woman rather than an algorithm.

Now Reuters reports that Ashley Madison's parent company Avid is being investigated by the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) after class action law suits were filed in the United States and Canada on behalf of customers whose details were exposed following the hack, and amid allegations that fake female profiles were used by the site to manipulate users:

An Ernst & Young report commissioned by Avid and shared with Reuters confirmed that Avid used computer programs, dubbed fembots, that impersonated real women, striking up conversations with paying male customers. Avid shut down the fake profiles in the United States, Canada and Australia in 2014, and by late 2015 in the rest of the world, but some U.S. users had message exchanges with foreign fembots until late in 2015, according to the report.

The company's new top executives — replacing those who exited after the tumultuous hack — confirmed the inquiry in an interview with Reuters. CEO Rob Segal isn't exactly sure what the FTC is focusing its probe on, but the leading theory is that it's tied to the website's use of "fembots" to artificially balance the male/female ratio. "That's a part of the ongoing process that we're going through," he told Reuters. "It's with the FTC right now."

A report commissioned by Ashley Madison parent company Avid Life Media confirmed that the infidelity website impersonated real women with the fembots, which continued to chat up some customers into 2015 — despite claims that the bogus profiles were mostly shut down in 2014.

The company's new leadership expressed "profound" sorrow over last year's breach, acknowledging that the infidelity website could have done more to improve its lackluster approach to security and better shield the personal details covering millions of users that flooded the dark web last August. Since then, some Ashley Madison customers have faced blackmail threats, and Avid Life Media has been hit with multiple class action lawsuits. The company recruited cyber security experts from Deloitte to come in and "reinvent" its security protocols to lessen the odds of a repeat incident...

A recent report by the state department inspector general found that she broke multiple rules despite repeated warnings to use official communications methods that would ensure her emails were stored and kept safe from hackers. 

Did she break the law? As an FBI investigation continues, expert opinion is divided. Some offer a view reminiscent of Bill Clinton’s famous remark that he experimented with marijuana but “didn’t inhale”. “I believe Clinton did break the law but at the same time I don’t think there’s evidence she committed a crime,” says Douglas Cox, associate professor at City University of New York School of Law.

It is a violation of federal records law to remove or destroy material, Cox notes, although Clinton “in part” fixed this by returning thousands of emails. More important in assessing whether a crime was committed is the question of intent, Cox says. “While there were warnings and memos that she should have been aware of, from a prosecution side they would need to prove her knowledge and intent and have evidence of that to bring before a jury.”...

U.S. President, Barack Obama, has been illegally operating in Britain, targeting employees of the Guardian Newspaper, among other people, over exposés they published regarding the crimes he has been committing from office in the United States. Obama has criminally sent the FBI and CIA into Britain, to illegally engage in vindictive, adverse conduct against employees of the Guardian Newspaper, having no legal mandate to do so. 

The Obama Administration has been criminally spying on employees of the Guardian, viciously targeting them and their families for harassment and "neutralization" constituting criminal violations of British and international law. Meddlesome, imperialistic Obama has violated his oath of office in America in doing so, in conduct that brought harm to Britons.

Obama is criminally abusing and spying on Britons and his behavior that is completely criminal and disgusting in this regard. It's called Great Britain, not Great Barack and there's nothing great about your behavior Obama. Get out of their country and stop behaving like a criminal. It is very unbecoming to do such things. Exactly who do you think you are to be engaging in this illegality and arrogance. It's bad enough when you abuse American journalists in the United States, but attacking foreign writers over their right to free speech is despicable as well and even more illegal due to jurisdictional issues. 

Failing to think ahead beyond one's time in office is a weak point of some heads of state. Some arrogantly and recklessly engage in egregious behavior in office, not thinking ahead to a time they will no longer be in charge. The Obama name is so muddied all over the world due to his behavior in a number of international countries, it is passing on a terrible legacy to his family members, who will have to live with that name and the negative sentiments now attached to it. People do and further will remember the abuses Obama has committed against innocent people in America and the world and associate it with his family.

Hollywood Flooding Obama Administration With Illegal Requests In His Final Year In Office

The Judiciary Report has been informed that stars and executives in Hollywood have been flooding the Obama Administration's White House with requests, in what is President Barack Obama's last year in office. However, based on what the Judiciary Report has been informed, regarding certain people in Hollywood bragging about said requests, many of the items being requested of the president is illegal.
 
Obama's presidency has largely been focused on Hollywood, who have been in the White House on a regular basis, more than accomplished people in politics, business, medicine and science. To be taking political and social advice from cocaine-snorters in Hollywood, rather than sound, accomplished business and medical professionals is very poor judgment.
 
There have been narcotics using, drug carrying Hollywood stars and executives in the White House on a regular basis, lowering the tone of the national house. Wealthy individuals and companies in Hollywood have also been given taxpayer money and financial breaks by the president that are undeserved and unearned. It certainly didn't help the economy.

Madonna Committed Sexual Assault On An Underage Minor

As Madonna committed this lewd and vulgar act of public indecency, she perversely stated to the audience regarding the underage girl, Josephine Georgiou, "She’s the kind of girl that you just want to slap on the as*."

Madonna further pointed at the underage girl’s vagina and stated, "You can do the same to me if you like…you want to make my hole big again.” How vile.

The U.S. State Department expressly states on their website that U.S. citizens are expected to obey all domestic and foreign laws, wherever they travel in the world. Sexually assaulting a minor before a crowd in sick and illegal. It's not the first time Madonna has done something like this. A book stated Madonna once pulled a 16-year-old boy on stage in New York and began French kissing him during and after the show. This too was sexual assault on a minor. Madonna's then manager was furious over her behavior, as everyone knew the boy, familiar to Madonna and her entourage, was a 16-year-old minor (a relative of a crew member). Someone who has been engaging in such conduct, should not have been allowed to adopt children, as Madonna has done. The same woman who attacked her own  underage son causing him to flee to another country (Madonna Attacked Her Son).

President Obama Refuses To Release Emails He And Hillary Clinton Sent Each Other In What Is Being Interpreted As Hiding Illegal Behavior In Office

As the investigation into former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton grows President Barack Obama has lent an air of suspicion to it, in refusing to release emails between the two. America is supposed to operate on a system of checks and balances and government transparency. Yet here we have it, President Obama is hiding emails between himself and Clinton, giving an air of illegality to their conduct. Obama's spokesman states the emails will be released several years from now. However, much of the illegal dealings in Washington occurs face to face.

Thus far, Clinton denied sending any classified emails from a private server. However, it is illegal to send government emails from a private sever and emails she earmarked non-classified, have since been classified during the investigation…700 of them. It is a clear indication she is not suitable to be president. The proper handling of national secrets is vital to any head of state. Clinton greatly lacks this quality, which could lead to massive disasters for America.

10/30/15 03:36 PM EDT - President Barack Obama found himself drawn into Hillary Clinton's email controversy Friday as the White House acknowledged the State Department is withholding a set of messages Obama and Clinton exchanged during her four years as secretary of state. As the State Department made public a new batch of more than 7,200 pages of Clinton's emails, officials stressed that the White House was not asserting executive privilege over the Obama-Clinton exchanges but insisting that they be treated as presidential records, which are normally not available to the public until between five and 12 years after a president leaves office.

"With regard to the President’s email, as we have previously acknowledged, the President did on occasion trade emails with Secretary Clinton, and we presume those communications will ultimately be made public, along with the rest of the President’s records, after he leaves office," a senior administration official said. "There is a long history of presidential records being kept confidential while the President is in office. It is a principle that previous White Houses have vigorously defended as it goes to the core of the President’s ability to receive unvarnished advice and counsel during his time in office and is central to the independent functioning of the Executive Branch."

A White House official declined to say whether any of the Obama-Clinton emails related to Libya. If so, the White House's position could cause an executive privilege clash with Congress, since the House Benghazi Committee subpoenaed all Clinton emails related to Benghazi in March of this year. The new release of Clinton emails — the largest batch of messages made public since State began posting the messages online to comply with a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit — revealed more about Clinton's knowledge of embassy security issues and provided a window into lighter moments like Clinton being instructed in the use of emojis...

But again Kylie is not a normal 17-year-old. You're not gonna say, "Hey, so what are you doing this weekend," and have her say, "Having a slumber party at my girlfriend's," or "Going to prom." That's not what Kylie does..."

This is apart of the reason the Kardashian/Jenner family is so dysfunctional. They all grew up too fast, engaging in promiscuous sex and drinking as minors. This is not healthy for any minor, as it leads to mental and emotional problems. Underage sex is not okay nor should it be promoted as acceptable. It creates lasting damage, especially when the underage party is sexually exploited and abused.

Kylie is growing up too fast. Being exploited on a reality show by your family, sexually exploited by your adult boyfriend, from the time you are 15-years of age and having so much plastic surgery done you don't look like yourself anymore, is not a healthy upbringing. It is a dysfunctional one. Kylie is going to look and feel old far before her time and come to the horrible realization one day, not only did her mother pimp her out for money and fame, she was taken advantage of by Tyga when she was a minor. She's going to need therapy.

Former National Security Agency contractor, Edward Snowden, bravely exposed the agency's lawbreaking in indiscriminately spying on Americans.

NSA's phone spying program ruled illegal by appeals court

A U.S. spying program that systematically collects millions of Americans' phone records is illegal, a federal appeals court ruled on Thursday, putting pressure on Congress to quickly decide whether to replace or end the controversial anti-terrorism surveillance. Ruling on a program revealed by former government security contractor Edward Snowden, the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan said the Patriot Act did not authorize the National Security Agency to collect Americans' calling records in bulk.

Circuit Judge Gerard Lynch wrote for a three-judge panel that Section 215, which addresses the FBI's ability to gather business records, could not be interpreted to have permitted the NSA to collect a "staggering" amount of phone records, contrary to claims by the Bush and Obama administrations.

"Such expansive development of government repositories of formerly private records would be an unprecedented contraction of the privacy expectations of all Americans," Lynch wrote in a 97-page decision. "We would expect such a momentous decision to be preceded by substantial debate, and expressed in unmistakable language. There is no evidence of such a debate."

The appeals court did not rule on whether the surveillance violated the U.S. Constitution. It also declined to halt the program, noting that parts of the Patriot Act including Section 215 expire on June 1. Lynch said it was "prudent" to give Congress a chance to decide what surveillance is permissible, given the national security interests at stake.

The FBI Was At The 2012 Olympics Illegally Spying Confirming What This Site Previously Stated

As some of my readers may remember, in 2012 I was in London, England for several months (Andy Coulson Moved From Tough British Prison Belmarsh While Former Boss Rupert Murdoch And His Cohort Madonna Continue Phone Hacking). I was there during the 2012 Olympics and the atmosphere was great. During that time I wrote an exclusive article about the FBI being at the 2012 Olympics and for unsavory reasons, which was spying (July 31, 2012's The FBI Is Illegally And Inappropriately Spying At The 2012 Olympics). A new scandal broke this week that proves my previous claims from 2-years ago correct in that the FBI was indeed spying at the 2012 Olympics. They were doing a cornucopia of spying at the global event.

On November 5, 2014 of this week, the New York Daily News newspaper published a report revealing, "Chuck Blazer, once the most powerful man in US football, was an FBI informant used to spy on FIFA, the New York Daily News reported. Blazer, who is now suffering from cancer, secretly recorded conversations with officials he arranged to meet at his London hotel during the 2012 Olympics, the report said. The FBI pressured Blazer into working for them from 2011 because he failed to pay income taxes on millions of dollars he made as a leader of CONCACAF, football's governing body for North and Central America and the Caribbean, said the report published at the weekend."

Football (soccer) is a great sport, is my favorite and I certainly want global athletics to be conducted with the greatest level of integrity. However, the FBI is wading into international football and have no jurisdiction or authority to do so. I do not agree with this. If the FBI's internationally unauthorized investigation is not handled properly, it could wreck world football.

Confirmed: NSA And FBI Working Hand In Hand In Spying On Americans (As This Site Previously Claimed)

For years the Judiciary Report has repeatedly written that the FBI and NSA are illegally spying on Americans and doing so in tandem with each other (Pentagon Has Weak Computer Security Procedures and U.S. Unemployment Benefits Receive A Second Look and on the Sound Off Column). A new report published recently indicates the FBI and NSA have indeed been jointly spying on Americans and sharing information with each other (see article excerpt below). 

The Constitution has been pushed aside by the FBI and NSA and this is not a good thing. The exorbitant multi-billion dollar spying budgets to illegally spy on Americans is not helping the economy. It’s a waste of time and money, not to mention defying the Constitution.

New documents: NSA provided 2-3 daily “tips” to FBI for at least 3 years

Jan 20 2014, 6:12pm EST - According to newly declassified court orders from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC), the National Security Agency was (and may still be) tipping off the FBI at least two to three times per day going back at least to 2006.

Hours after President Barack Obama finished his speech last Friday on proposed intelligence and surveillance reforms, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) declassified a number of documents from the nation’s most secretive court. 

The new documents are heavily redacted orders from FISC to the FBI. These items request that the court order an entity (likely a business) to provide “tangible things” under Section 215 of the PATRIOT Act. The documents do not refer to who the target is, nor which company or organization they apply to.

"The Court understands that NSA expects that it will continue to provide on average approximately three telephone identifiers per day to the FBI,” reads a footnote in a 2007 court order (PDF) authored by FISC Judge Frederick Scullin, Jr...

A video on the World Star Hip Hop website features a girl viciously punching and kicking another in the face and head, in conduct worthy of prosecution. Many on social networking are laughing at the fact the girl's name is...wait for it... Sharkeisha, but there's nothing funny about what she did. The unnamed girl, who was brutally beaten is in danger of neurological problems that could last a very long time.

Newspaper Reports The NSA Is Illegally Spying On 35 World Leaders

This is a follow up to yesterday's article "The NSA Gets President Obama Into International Trouble Over Spying On Other Heads Of State." Initially, it was reported the NSA has been spying on the heads of state of France, Germany and Mexico, respectively.

The Judiciary Report indicated the spying extends much further than the three heads of state, even stating British Prime Minister David Cameron has been a target (they snatch the calls/signal off the satellite). Yesterday's Judiciary Report article also mentioned previous illegal wiretapping by the Obama administration of the Jamaican head of state, which began years ago, as one of my sources informed me in 2010 regarding Former Prime Minister Bruce Golding, "They have him on tape."

Over an hour after yesterday's article was published to the Judiciary Report and to the site's time stamped blog, the Guardian newspaper in London went public with information stating the Obama Administration via the NSA, has been spying on 35 world leaders via illegal wiretapping (among other things).

This scandal has led to world leaders going to the United Nations regarding the illegal spying, seeking to curb the criminal misconduct. The latest claims have come forth from files associated with brave American whistleblower, Edward Snowden, who is currently domiciled in Russia.

The National Security Agency monitored the phone conversations of 35 world leaders after being given the numbers by an official in another US government department, according to a classified document provided by whistleblower Edward Snowden.

The confidential memo reveals that the NSA encourages senior officials in its "customer" departments, such the White House, State and the Pentagon, to share their "Rolodexes" so the agency can add the phone numbers of leading foreign politicians to their surveillance systems.

The document notes that one unnamed US official handed over 200 numbers, including those of the 35 world leaders, none of whom is named. These were immediately "tasked" for monitoring by the NSA.

The revelation is set to add to mounting diplomatic tensions between the US and its allies, after the German chancellor Angela Merkel on. Wednesday accused the US of tapping her mobile phone...


Exclusive: Germany, Brazil Turn to U.N. to Restrain American Spies

Thursday, October 24, 2013 - 8:18 PM - Brazil and Germany today joined forces to press for the adoption of a U.N. General Resolution that promotes the right of privacy on the internet, marking the first major international effort to restrain the National Security Agency's intrusions into the online communications of foreigners, according to diplomatic sources familiar with the push.

The effort follows a German claim that the American spy agency may have tapped the private telephone of German Chancellor Angela Merkel and dozens of other world leaders. It also comes about one month after Brazilian leader DilmaRousseff denounced NSA espionage against her country as "a breach of international law" in a General Assembly speech and proposed that the U.N. establish legal guidelines to prevent "cyberspace from being used as a weapon of war."

Brazilian and German diplomats met in New York today with a small group of Latin American and European governments to consider a draft resolution that calls for expanding privacy rights contained in the International Covenant Civil and Political Rights to the online world. The draft does not refer to a flurry of American spying revelations that have caused a political uproar around the world, particularly in Brazil and German. But it was clear that the revelation provided the political momentum to trigger today's move to the United Nations. The blowback from the NSA leaks continues to agonize U.S. diplomats and military officials concerned about America's image abroad.

"This is an example of the very worst aspects of the Snowden disclosures," a former defense official with deep experience in NATO, told The Cable, referring to former NSA contractor Edward Snowden. "It will be very difficult for the US to dig out of this, although we will over time. The short term costs in credibility and trust are enormous."...


Report: NSA Spied on 124 Billion Phone Calls in One Month

October 23, 2013 3:10 pm - Tallies of top-secret documents show widespread data collection. The National Security Agency recorded information about more than 124 billion phone calls during a 30-day period earlier this year, including around 3 billion calls from U.S. sources, according to a tally from top-secret documents released by multiple news outlets.

Documents revealing details about the NSA’s Boundless Informant program show that information regarding billions of phone calls and computer communications was collected by the agency from across the world. Boundless Informant "allows users to select a country on a map and view the meta data volume and select details about the collections against that country," according to the Guardian, which first reported on the top secret program earlier this year.

Multiple leaked screenshots of the Boundless Informant program show that information on around 124.8 billion phone calls were collected in just 30-days this year, according to documents released by the Guardian and other news sites. The documents provide a window into the sheer volume of data being collected by the NSA as late as March of this year, according to the Guardian...

The NSA Illegally Accessing VISA To Spy On People Confirms The Site's Previous Claims

 This month a new scandal erupted regarding the NSA spying scandal, which the Judiciary Report's sister site the the Sound Off Column broke first. The latest scandal involves the public revelation that the NSA has been accessing Visa and Swift Networks, spying on the public's financial transactions.

However, the Judiciary Report and the Sound Off Column have stated for years that the FBI and its sister agency the NSA (who share information and surveillance data among each other) have been spying on the public's financial transactions and credit reports, which includes Visa and SWIFT (see article links below).

 
 
Some in government would rather have you believe a writer like me is paranoid or using my imagination as I do with authoring copyrighted movie scripts, songs and books (among other things). However, sorry to state, the Judiciary Report's articles and those published on its sister site, the Sound Off Column, are not works of fiction, as attested by many site exclusives which later proved true.

We are living in a police state (with NSA and FBI spying having gone global, a police world) which I found out the hard way after my interactions with the untrustworthy, treacherous FBI several years ago. Privacy is a myth. This conduct is wholly illegal. You know what's worse, some of the worst things they are doing hasn't even come out yet.

Considering NSA Spying Has Not Really Aided In Thwarting Terrorist Attacks Should It Be Scaled Back

There is proposed legislation designed to scale back the National Security Agency’s illegal spying on Americans. Recently, Congress discovered only one questionable terrorist attempt may have been averted by NSA spying, with emphasis on may have been.


President Obama and Congress claimed ignorance regarding the full extent of the NSA’s illegal spying and as such, legislation is in the works to address the criminal breaches of the U.S. Code and Constitution. Not to mention, the costs of spying on so many Americans is astronomical, well into the billions, usurping taxpayer money that could be better utilized elsewhere on items such as the education, the poor and homeless.

Congress Demands Answers From Eric Holder And The NSA Regarding Why They Are Sharing Americans Private Information With The DEA

There’s nothing a drug dealer detests more than a snitch. Turns out some may have fallen afoul of drug dealers, who wrongly believed they snitched on them when it was actually the NSA (National Security Agency, which is now clearly the National Snitch Agency) tipping off the DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency). A report today indicates Congress is demanding answers regarding why the NSA violated U.S. law in spying on Americans and then sharing the information with sister agency the DEA, which led to drug busts.


Robert S. Mueller and Attorney General (DOJ) Eric Holder - two of the culprits behind much of the spying. Congress is demanding Holder give an explanation for this latest scandal regarding the DEA and NSA.

Congress is not against drug busts, but these were not in compliance with the law as evidence was illegally obtained via the NSA, who is forbidden under U.S. law to spy on Americans. The Judiciary Report has maintained for several years in a story sister site the Sound Off Column broke first, the FBI and NSA are spying on Americans in violation of the law and sharing the info with other agencies and sometimes with civilians for profit.

Senators demand answers on drug agency’s use of NSA domestic surveillance

Published time: August 27, 2013 21:21 - A group of lawmakers have asked United States Attorney General Eric Holder to explain recent allegations that federal drug busts have been carried out using non-terrorism intelligence collected by the National Security Agency and shared outside the NSA.

The eight legislators — all Democrats — have asked the country’s top attorney to weigh in on the reports published by Reuters earlier this month in which the NSA is accused of tipping off Drug Enforcement Administration agents to help orchestrate narcotics busts.

"These allegations raise serious concerns that gaps in the policy and law are allowing overreach by the federal government's intelligence gathering apparatus," wrote the senators - Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin, Ron Wyden of Oregon, Tom Udall of New Mexico, Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut and Sherrod Brown of Ohio.


Congress Wants Holder To Explain Intelligence Sharing Between NSA And DEA

Tuesday August 27, 2013 7:58 am - As the ACLU claims the NSA’s phone collection program is illegal in court papers filed Monday, members of Congress are putting pressure on Attorney General Eric Holder to answer questions regarding news reports that the DEA has access to NSA intelligence and is sharing that information with numerous agencies and personnel in the government. Even if the NSA survives the ACLU’s court challenge there is little doubt that the NSA intelligence gathered should not have gone to the DEA let alone to the wide range of places the DEA shared the information.

Eight Democratic senators and congressmen have asked Attorney General Eric Holder to answer questions about a Reuters report that the National Security Agency supplies the Drug Enforcement Administration with intelligence information used to make non-terrorism cases against American citizens.

The August report revealed that a secretive DEA unit passes the NSA information to agents in the field, including those from the Internal Revenue Service, the FBI and Homeland Security, with instructions to never disclose the original source, even in court. In most cases, the NSA tips involve drugs, money laundering and organized crime, not terrorism.
