Rolling Stone Magazine Ordered To Pay $3,000,000 Over Discredited Gang Rape Story

Rolling Stone's now discredited "A Rape on Campus" article caused a significant amount of damage

In 2014, Rolling Stone journalist Sabrina Erdely wrote an article entitled "A Rape on Campus" regarding a University of Virginia student identified as "Jackie" who had been gang raped at the school by several male fraternity members of Phi Kappa Psi. People were outraged over the rape.

Based on details in the story, three members of Phi Kappa Psi were publicly outed as rapists and made the subject of terrible harassment, threats and insults. The fraternity was suspended by the university. The faculty of the University of Virginia was also brought under great public scrutiny and criticism.

It turns out "Jackie" made up the whole thing about being raped. It never happened. Rolling Stone believed her story and ended up publishing a piece that was a lie. Journalists from newspapers unraveled the story when they began reviewing her claims. Journalists unmasked it as a lie, as it was filled with many discrepancies. It was revealed "Jackie" made up the story for sympathy from a fellow student she was in love with, Ryan Duffin. Rolling Stone retracted the story. However, significant damage had been done to the reputations of faculty at the University of Virginia and the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity.

Jackie Coakley made up rape story

A jury has come to a verdict in the defamation civil case brought against Rolling Stone and Sabrina Erdely by University of Virginia associate dean Nicole Eramo, awarding her $3,000,000 in damages. Eramo had been publicly slammed for not handling the rape claim properly (which turned out to be a false rape claim). Eramo and her reputation suffered as a result of the article in Rolling Stone.

Erdely was blamed for not doing enough research regarding the gang rape claims of "Jackie." Rolling Stone writer Erdely failed to properly interview people "Jackie" named in connection with the story and friends she stated came to her aid. Her friends later revealed they did not see cuts and bruises on "Jackie" and she did not appear distressed, which completely contradicts the Rolling Stone article. Phi Kappa Psi has also filed suit against Rolling stone and the case is currently pending.

People want to believe a person who states they have been raped. No one wants to believe a person stating they have been raped is lying. However, it has occurred. Some have fabricated rape claims and destroyed lives and reputations in the process. The Judiciary Report would like to implore people not to make up rape claims. When people actually get raped, the false claims others made, makes it more difficult for them to be believed by the public and juries. Rape is a very real and serious crime. Do not make a mockery of it by lying.

In Rolling Stone Defamation Case, Magazine and Reporter Ordered to Pay $3 Million

NOV. 7, 2016 - CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — A federal jury on Monday ordered Rolling Stone and one of its writers to pay $3 million in damages to a University of Virginia administrator over a discredited article two years ago about a supposed gang rape at the university.

The jury in Charlottesville, Va., had already decided on Friday, after a two-week trial, that Rolling Stone; Wenner Media, its parent company; and Sabrina Rubin Erdely, the author of the article, were all liable for defamation in a case that centered on faulty reporting and a failure to apply basic fail-safes in editing.

After deliberating for less than two hours on Monday, the jury of eight women and two men decided that Ms. Erdely was liable for $2 million of the total, and Rolling Stone and Wenner Media for $1 million. In her suit, filed in May 2015, the administrator, Nicole P. Eramo, had asked for $7.5 million in damages...

The Blame The Victim Mentality Surfaces In The Stanford Rape Case

Brock Turner

The case of, Brock Turner, the Stanford university student convicted in a court of law of raping an unconscious woman, has again brought to the forefront the "blame the victim" mentality some people possess. Turner blamed the "party culture" for him viciously raping an unconscious woman. He publicly blamed the victim over the loss of two jobs he held, having been fired over the rape. Everything was about him.

Never mind the horrible damage he inflicted on an innocent young woman, who is devastated and suffering. In his eyes he is the victim having lost his jobs and having the press and public negatively write about his criminal behavior. To read that Turner's father referred to the rape as "20 minutes of action" shows a gross lack of conscience in that family. That's a twisted statement to make.

Brock Turner mug shot

Too often in the U.S. court and justice system, victims of crime are treated like criminals. The attitude among a few unbalanced people is that Turner deserved to be rape, after getting drunk at a party. Let's be clear, there's something wrong with you in the head, if you can't pass up the chance to rape someone who is sleeping or passed out. No one deserves to be raped.

Making excuses for people who have committed very harmful crimes is appalling. In doing so, one casts aspersions on the innocent, via piling illogical condemnation upon victims who have already been harmed. In doing so, you victimize them all over again. There is something mentally wrong with that. The "blame the victim" mentality is an embarrassment and disgrace. Those with that mindset need to get a hold of themselves and stop behaving in such an uncouth manner. It's not a good look.

Public Demands U.S. Judge On Stanford Rape Case Be Removed From Office For Giving Rapist Lenient 6-Months In Jail

Brock Turner

Judge Aaron Persky, is a corrupt judge, who is the source of outrage in America, for giving rapist, Brock Turner, only 6-months in jail, well below the sentencing guidelines and the 6-years in prison prosecutors demanded. Judge Persky is a Stanford alumni, the university Turner attends, which many Americans believe is how corruption crept into the case. Judge Pesky showed special treatment to a student from his alma mater during sentencing, which is inappropriate.

In America, rapists are often given 5-15 years in jail. Therefore, giving Turner 6-months for raping an unconscious woman, looks very suspect and is a miscarriage of justice. A group of men saw Turner forcefully penetrating the victim and told him to stop, which caused Turner to flee the scene. One of the men who went after Turner stated of the victim, "She was unconscious. The entire time. I checked her and she didn't move at all."

Judge Aaron Persky

A petition has been launched to have Judge Persky removed from the bench. Over 100,000 people have signed the petition. Perksy has a history of questionable behavior from the bench. A report stated he allowed "revealing photos of a gang-rape victim" into court record. The disgraceful and ugly implication is she was a slut who deserved to be raped.

A new report indicates jurors are refusing to serve under Judge Persky branding him corrupt. It has been revealed over 20 jurors have refused to serve under Judge Persky, due to his corrupt decision in the Brock Turner case. Judge Persky is disrupting the function of the court in behavior that has and will further to hold up cases. As such, Judge Persky should be removed.

Racial Insults Fly Online After Black Female Soldier Is Crowned Miss USA

Deshauna Barber crowned Miss USA 2016

Beautiful 26-year-old, Deshauna Barber, was crowned Miss USA this past Sunday. Barber, who is Miss District of Columbia, is an intelligent university graduate and computer expert. Barber works for the U.S. Department of Commerce. She is also a military lieutenant, who is the commander of her unit. Barber sported a perfect, radiant smile as she participated in each segment of the show, exuding a natural confidence that is impressive. Barber is the first military woman to win Miss USA. She came across very well and deserved to win the competition.

Deshauna Barber

However, not everyone held that view. There were a few racist comments made on social networking by people who did not want a black Miss USA. I will not post the toxic comments they made and give them any direct attention. They issued offensive comments about Barber's win, with some stating black people are taking over the country. However, based on population estimates, America is still predominantly white. Many beautiful white women have won Miss USA. Diversity in a beautiful black woman winning Miss USA should be applauded just as much.

Deshauna Barber looks like a model

Some people complain too much. Why not just be happy that a beautiful, intelligent, well spoken woman, who is strong and feminine, won the competition. Even with no makeup, her hair pulled back in a bun and a cap on her head, while wearing her military clothing, she looked beautiful. She is a natural beauty with intelligence.

Stripper Turned Judge Found Dead In Nevada

Diana Hampton

Diana Hampton, a former stripper turned judge, was found dead in her Nevada home. Hampton, a former district attorney, was the first female judge elected in the city of Henderson, Nevada. The mother of two was a stripper for a year in her twenties and used the funds to go to law school, obtaining a degree. Hampton heard many domestic violence cases in her court, during her tenure as judge.

Diana Hampton's townhome in Nevada

An investigation is being conducted into the mother of two's death. She was 50-years-old, which is young to die. It is great that Hampton was able to turn her life around, as being a stripper is an emotionally and mentally degrading job that harms women's psyches. Here’s hoping there was no foul play in this case and it was a naturally occurring, medically related passing, as there are conspiracy theories online that state otherwise, which would be sad if true.

Side Bar: People who wish to go to university should be given government grants to do so, as it is educating the populace. The government spends all this money on fruitless wars, when intelligent people like Hampton want to go to school but can't afford it.

Donald Trump Slams The Racist Comments Of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia

Antonin Scalia

U.S. presidential candidate, Donald Trump, a man who has gotten himself into hot water these past few months over racist, bigoted, xenophobic and sexist statements he has made during his campaign, has slammed the racially biased statements of Supreme Court Justice, Antonin Scalia, made against black students in America. See, even Trump thinks Scalia's comments are racist.

Scalia has been ripped in newspapers and the blogosphere, as well as by the public on social media, for stating black students are "slower" than their white counterparts. Scalia stated in a legal brief, regarding the case, Fisher v. University of Texas, that black students should be sent to "slower" universities, rather than elite, fast paced schools in America.

The lawsuit was brought by Abigail Fisher, a white student who was not accepted to the University of Texas. Fisher blamed it on "affirmative action" granting admission to a black student, resulting in the rejection of her application. However, the University of Texas contends Fisher's grades and test scores were not good enough for admittance. That's a serious hurdle for Fisher and one that should not be glossed over. A black "affirmative action" student would still have to meet the grade and test score requirements. The bar is not lowered in that respect.

Universities in America all have different standards of admission regarding grades and test scores. Elite schools ("Ivy League" as they are called) such as Harvard, Yale, Princeton and MIT, demand high test scores and great grades from applicants' high school years to be admitted. However, community colleges on the whole accept all students and many of whom have gone on to successful, well paying careers in their chosen fields.

Scalia did not take this into consideration. He saw a chance to put black people down and he took it, being the racist that he is as a person. Scalia's comments provoked such outrage online, it has generated tens of thousands of feedback comments on social networking and newspaper website comment sections slamming him. Scalia has yet to respond to the backlash or disgrace he has brought on the Supreme Court. Not only are people aghast in America, but a number of outlets worldwide have slammed Scalia's comments as well.

One thing is for certain, someone with such racist, partial, biased views, is not fit to judge or contribute to legal rulings that impact millions of people in a nation. Scalia has shown he can't even put his personal prejudices aside when rendering rulings. That's a terrible warning sign.

Ironically, this is not the first time Scalia and his archaic views have struck. Vanity Fair stated, "Scalia's statement isn't a total surprise coming from a justice who once called a provision of the Voting Rights Act, which protected black voters from discrimination when registering to vote, a 'racial entitlement.'"

Donald Trump stated of Scalia: "Well, I thought his remarks were very tough. I mean, I don’t comment on them. They — you know, he’s a respected Supreme Court judge. But I thought his remarks actually were very, very tough. Well, I think they were very, very tough to a certain community. There’s no question about it. I thought it was very tough to the African-American community, actually. I don’t like what he said, no. I don’t like what he said."

If America did not have such a terrible history of abusing minorities "affirmative action" would not be necessary. Scalia is ticked off by "affirmative action," but he must have taken history classes at some point to realize why it was created or he is a deluded revisionist. I see it this way, as a black woman, I don't get ticked off when American Indians are given special breaks in society. Historically, American Indians were treated horribly, abused and terribly defrauded. It was a dark and ugly time in American history.

If I as a black woman can see and acknowledge that horrible things happened to American Indians, necessitating compensation and something to level the playing field in the fact of discrimination, why can't Scalia comprehend the horrors of slavery, segregation and the heinous mistreatment that occurred during the civil rights movement that left many blacks dead, to understand why "affirmative action" is needed. America was stolen from the Indians and built by the labor of blacks during slavery. No amount of historical revisions will change that fact. The discrimination and abuse was so prominent, laws had to be made in an effort to stem the horrors that occurred.

Once again, Scalia is living proof that "affirmative action" is needed, as said racist had the nerve to put on paper that black people are slower than whites and it is not a good idea to admit African-Americans to elite schools. How ignorant! And there are other people like him out there who think that way (not everyone, just select people, but some of them are in prominent positions in university admissions and employment recruitment in the workplace).

I don't think any race is smarter or slower than another. I do believe all races are equal. Studies have shown black people thrive at Ivy League schools, just as much as other races do. However, due to institutionalized racism "affirmative action" was implemented as a quota, to insure qualified minorities were not shut out of educational and employment opportunities by racists.

Scalia’s Comment on Black Students Draws Gasps in Supreme Court

...The statement was made during oral argument in Fisher v. University of Texas, a case seeking to strike down the university’s affirmative-action policies for violating the Constitution under the Equal Protection Clause. It’s the second time the case has made the court, and to liberal observers, petitioner Abigail Fisher, a white woman who was rejected from U.T. Austin and believes that it was due to her race, has a bunch of sour grapes. (The University of Texas argues that Fisher’s test scores and grades weren’t strong enough to admit her to the flagship school.)...

Then again, Scalia's statement isn't a total surprise coming from a justice who once called a provision of the Voting Rights Act, which protected black voters from discrimination when registering to vote, a “racial entitlement.”

Rumors Rife In Washington President Obama Battling Serious Personal Issues

Obama smoking weed in university and beyond...

I have been informed by one of my trusted, credible sources that rumors are rife in Washington that U.S. President Barack Obama is still battling substance abuse issues via a relapse. Obama, who drank alcohol and smoked marijuana in university, is said to be having sobriety issues, under the pressures of being president. Obama has made a number of decisions that has people wondering what is going on with him. Obama has adopted a party attitude from his Hollywood friends and donors, whom people complain, are running the White House (into the ground).

Barack Obama

Obama's predecessor, George W. Bush, was an admitted alcoholic. Bush was photographed unaware at times, drinking beer on the back lawn of the White House. When Bush left office, a massive number of wine and champagne bottles were missing and unaccounted for from the White House wine cellar. Many also stated Bush battled substance abuse issues in university regarding narcotics use as well.

Underage Malia Obama Secretly Photographed Playing Beer Pong During School Visit

Malia Obama

Malia Obama, the 17-year-old daughter of U.S. President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, was photographed playing beer pong during a visit to Brown University. In America the legal drinking age for alcohol is 21. However, the photo did not reveal Malia drinking. She was flipping her hair and looking on at what was going on in the room.

Barack Obama

Needless to say, she will have to answer some questions from her dad regarding the photo when she gets back to the White House. She can promise not to engage in underage drinking, then when not within earshot quietly mumble under her breath in the corner, "this dude took a picture smoking weed with his big afro when he was in school, so he can't talk" and hope he doesn't hear it (LOL). If he does hear it, well, that's your butt then, isn't it (LOL).

Student Opens Fire In Deadly Incident At Northern Arizona University In America In What Is A Serious Reminder The Nation Needs Gun Control (Video)

1 person is dead and 3 wounded in a Northern Arizona University campus shooting in Flagstaff that occurred this morning at 1:20AM. 18-year-old Northern Arizona University freshman, Steven Jones, has been arrested in connection with the shooting. He has been charged with first degree murder and three counts of aggravated assault. Each surviving victim was shot multiple times and are being treated at Flagstaff Medical Center. The incident occurred after a fight.

Steven Jones

This can't keep happening. Precious lives are being lost to senseless acts of violence. Many nations have reversed their political policies on gun ownership in regards to the public. There's no shame in that. America needs serious gun control laws, as the majority of the 30,000 deaths per year at the hands of civilians could have been prevented.

Gunman Named In Oregon Shooting Was A Neo-Nazi And Terrorist Sympathizer (Video)

26-year-old Chris Harper Mercer has been named as the gun man in the mass shooting that occurred yesterday at the Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon. Mercer killed 9 people execution style for being Christians and wounded 20 more, after demanding to know their religion. Mercer then killed himself. The Daily Beast wrote, "For the 40th time this year, the 141st time since the Sandy Hook massacre, a gunman had opened fire in a school." Congress needs to enact legislation regarding gun control.

Chris Harper Mercer

Subsequent police investigations have uncovered the fact Mercer is a Nazi and terrorist supporter. Mercer made a number of disturbing posts on the internet in support of mass murder and said criminal acts bringing a person fame, which is a terrible way to think. Mercer was an atheist steeped in the occult (satanism) and Nazism.

UPDATED: Man Opens Fire At An Oregon University Killing 9 Christians And Wounding 20

Chaotic scene outside the Umpqua Community College

Gun violence has struck again in America. A currently unnamed shooter opened fire at the Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon, killing 9 and wounding 20. Witnesses stated the shooter pointed a gun at a room full of students and began demanding to know their religion. Those who stated they are Christian were lined up and killed, shot in the head execution style. Those who refused to name a religion were shot in the legs. The gunman later shot and killed himself.

The incident is a sad and painful reminder that gun control laws are needed in America. Random acts of violence are claiming precious lives on a regular basis. The bloodshed must stop. Knife crime is terrible as well, but gun incidents are far worse, due to the ability of automatic weapons to dispense multiple bullets in seconds.

Civilians should not be in possession of these types of guns (or any guns for that matter). Over 30,000 Americans die each year from gun violence. That is a massive number of people to die in that manner and it is preventable. Nations that enacted gun control laws saw a dramatic reduction in murders and overall crime levels.

Athlete Who Spread HIV To Unknowing Sexual Partners Sentenced To 60-Years In Prison

Michael L. Johnson went by the name "Tiger Mandingo" and was having sex with men in his university dorm room

23-year-old athlete, Michael L. Johnson, was indicted and convicted of infecting a sexual partner with HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. Johnson, who has been incarcerated in St. Louis, Missouri since his arrest in 2013, was formally accused of exposing several men to HIV, deliberately withholding the fact he has the virus. The prosecution subpoenaed the university wrestler's medical records and spoke with staff at two clinics, which revealed Johnson was aware of his HIV positive status. However, he refused to refrain from sexual activity with men he lied to stating he is HIV negative.

Michael L. Johnson

Prosecutor Phil Groenweghe referred to Johnson's conduct as deliberate and malicious, "What we have here is a perfect storm of malice" and "He didn’t just fail to disclose his status. When he was specifically asked if he was clean... he lied." Under domestic and international law in many nations, people who knowingly infect others with HIV are subject to indictment and imprisonment. They are also subject to financially devastating lawsuits from those they infected, which could lead to bankruptcy. While my sympathy goes out to anyone who is sick, please act responsibly and allow others the health you are currently being denied. Have hope that science will produce a breakthrough.

Ex-Missouri student found guilty of exposing partner to HIV

Updated 4:36 am, Friday, May 15, 2015 - ST. CHARLES, Mo. (AP) — Jurors in Missouri have found a 23-year-old man guilty of infecting another man with HIV and endangering four others with the disease while attending college in suburban St. Louis. He was found not guilty on a sixth charge of exposing another man to the virus that causes AIDS.

Johnson, a college wrestler, was expelled from the university in St. Charles and has been jailed since his arrest in 2013. Millionaire Star Athlete Loses It All Due To Poor Financial Planning And Becomes McDonalds Worker

David Harrison

Former NBA basketball player, David Harrison, who had earned $4,400,000 during his pro career with the Indiana Pacers, ended up broke and working at fast food restaurant McDonalds for minimum wage. His story is a sobering reminder of the perils of poor financial planning.

First of all, Harrison should be commended for obtaining honest employment at McDonalds, which must have been an emotionally difficult experience, after playing professional sports for millions of dollars. Harrison should also be applauded, as he is one of the few who actually made it to the pros, which is an accomplishment in itself.

However, as the Judiciary Report has done many times in the past, let's take a look at what transpired regarding his finances, with the hope of helping other athletes avoid similar pitfalls. Harrison was overextended, having made too many financial commitments regarding a lavish home, cars and helping others in his family and circle. His home went into foreclosure and his cars in jeopardy of  repossession. He also owed child support payments.

The Judiciary Report has emphasized in the past, it is best to purchase a starter home (equity), rather than paying rent, when the financial opportunity presents itself. As your income increases, you can rent out the starter home and upgrade to an affordably larger property (Olympic Athletes Should Seek To Make The Most Of Their Money And Career Opportunities).

Many times mortgage professionals pre-qualify individuals for mortgages based on the first one or two years of income, which often declines. The athlete purchases a home for the maximum amount they qualified for, when their income often changes year after year. Many stars' homes have gone into foreclosure for this reasons. Ask in advance what the payments will be for your mortgage and make sure it will be something within your means in the long-term.

Buying too many cars can also create financial problems. Motor vehicles depreciate the second you take them off the car lot. Therefore, be mindful of what you buy and the fact it will not be worth nowhere near as much in the coming years (so don't take on too much).

Harrison revealed he did not have a university degree to fall back on when his career ended after a few short years. Some, not many athletes, go to university in the off season, which is a great way to obtain a degree. As stated in the past, it is also wise to start a small business, which can create steady income.
Harrison also developed a drug problem, smoking marijuana everyday during the off-season, which spilled over into his game when his downtime was over. He was suspended and fined for violating league rules with marijuana use.

From McDonald's All-American to McDonald's worker: How David Harrison lost his way after the NBA

By Marc J. Spears March 13, 2015 1:58 AM Yahoo Sports - David Harrison was the 29th overall pick of the 2004 NBA draft. Former Indiana Pacers center David Harrison, a little more than a decade removed from being a first-round pick in the NBA draft, has struggled to make a consistent living since his basketball career ended – to the point he said he took a job working at McDonald's two years ago.

"I was embarrassed because of where I could be in life," Harrison told Yahoo Sports. "Everybody has to work and make a living somehow. I have two children. They don't care where I work. They just need to eat. "People were showing up trying to take my car. My house was in foreclosure. I didn't have any income. I just had everything going out. I have child support to one son. I have a really big family and I have to take care of them, even through I'm not playing in the NBA. I needed money."

Harrison made $4.4 million before taxes during four seasons with Indiana and also played in China professionally for three seasons. He said almost all of that money is gone. Now 32 and without a college degree, Harrison said he's having a hard time finding a job. "An NBA career is a fragile thing," said Dallas Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle, who coached Harrison with the Pacers. "It tips on the slimmest of margins one way or the other. There are a lot of guys who get a taste of it. David had some pretty good years for us when I was there."

Harrison played in the McDonald's All-America Game in 2001 after being a two-time Mr. Basketball in Tennessee. The 2004 All-Big 12 first-team pick was a starter in three seasons at Colorado and averaged 17 points and 8.8 rebounds as a junior during the 2003-04 season. The Pacers drafted him with the 29th overall selection in the first round of the 2004 NBA draft. ...

Harrison said he smoked marijuana in the offseason during his first three seasons, but not during the season. Frustrated with his role under O'Brien and his lack of playing time, Harrison said he smoked weed daily – including before and after practices – during the 2007-08 season. He was suspended five games that season for violating the league's anti-drug policy because of his marijuana use...

Harrison became a free agent following the 2007-08 season and never played in the NBA again. He averaged 5.0 points and 2.9 rebounds over four seasons with Indiana. He played professionally in China the next three seasons and played eight games for the D-League Reno Bighorns during the 2011-12 season. He last played for the Dallas Mavericks' summer league team in 2012. Harrison hasn't received any calls from NBA teams over the past three seasons. Nor have there been any overseas offers...

Two Vanderbilt Players Found Guilty Of Rape And Are Facing A Potential 15-Years In Prison (Video)

Two 21-year-old Vanderbilt university students, Brandon Vandenburg and Cory Batey, were found guilty of rape, stemming from a 2013 incident. The former football players were convicted of raping Vandenburg's girlfriend and filming the ordeal. The men sent the graphic video to friends, none of whom reported the crime to police.

The video showed Vandenburg passing around his drunk, unconscious girlfriend to his teammates. She was thrown on the floor, then penetrated with fingers and penises and her anus violated with a water bottle, as Vandenburg chanted, "Squeeze that sh*t! Squeeze that sh*t! Vandenburg's girlfriend was found the next morning in the dorm corridor by a female friend. Shortly after it was discovered she had been raped. The two remaining suspects, Brandon Banks and Jaborian McKenzie, both age 20, will be tried at a later date.

Brandon Vandenburg

The defense attempted to blame the rape on binge drinking and promiscuity, which is a serious problem facing youth in society. However, the jury rejected the claim, insisting the young men be held responsible for their damaging conduct. The jury reached a quick verdict in four minutes, finding Vandenburg and Batey guilty.

The Judiciary Report has repeatedly warned against binge drinking and promiscuity. What can seem like a good time at first, can quickly spiral out of control and lead to terrible situations and lasting damage. People have been raped, assaulted, injured and contracted life altering STDs (sexually transmitted diseases) from being promiscuous and or drunk. If you choose to drink, be responsible and do not test your limits by getting drunk. It can endanger your safety and will damage your health.

Cory Batey

Pop culture, especially certain celebrities, encourage people to be promiscuous, labeling women prudes and men nerds, losers and wimps, for not having sex with as many people as possible. However, there is always a consequence for living in that manner. Take care of yourselves and realize in life, you can't trust everyone. Bad things can happen, even when you are not at fault. Therefore, be careful and avoid certain situations.

2 former Vanderbilt players are convicted of rape

January 27, 2015 - A jury convicted two former Vanderbilt players on Tuesday of raping an ex-student, rejecting claims they were too drunk to know what they were doing and that a college culture of binge drinking and promiscuous sex should be blamed for the attack. A jury convicted two former Vanderbilt players on Tuesday of raping an ex-student, rejecting claims they were too drunk to know what they were doing and that a college culture of binge drinking and promiscuous sex should be blamed for the attack.

The jury deliberated for three hours before announcing Tuesday that Brandon Vandenburg and Cory Batey, both 21, were guilty of aggravated rape and aggravated sexual battery. The victim, a 21-year-old neuroscience and economics major at the time of the June 2013 attack, cried as each guilty verdict was announced in Nashville, Tenn. The men face decades in prison when they are sentenced March 6.

The jury heard two weeks of testimony from a parade of witnesses, including police, former and current Vanderbilt students and the woman, who said she didn’t remember what happened that night, only that she woke up in a strange dormitory room. They also saw cellphone images from the night of the attack Vandenburg sent to friends as it was happening. Despite the photos and video, and witnesses seeing the woman unconscious and at least partially naked in a dorm hallway, no one reported it.

Jaborian “Tip” McKenzie, who is also charged in the case, testified he did not touch the woman himself but also took pictures. No trial date has been set for McKenzie and Brandon Banks, the fourth former player accused in the assault...

The Lawyer Representing Jameis Winston's Accuser Tries To Cast Negative Shadow Over Heisman Ceremony

Jameis Winston

Attorney Patricia Caroll, the aunt of Jameis Winston's accuser, Erica Kinsman, resurfaced yesterday via a publicity seeking press conference, after disappearing for much of this month. Prosecutors declined to charge Winston with the alleged rape of Kinsman, as the evidence is so shoddy and so is her story, which is full of holes and inconsistencies. After Caroll's press conference, the governor and state attorney's office in Florida released statements revealing they are declining to investigate the Tallahassee Police and the case is closed.

Caroll stated during the press conference, the Tallahassee Police did not include an item in the case, indicating Kinsman had a lumbar strain, listed in the medical report, after she went to the hospital. The fact of the matter is the public does not know how Kinsman developed the lumbar strain. It can happen in a number of ways. It is not a definitive indicator of rape or sexual assault.

Patricia Caroll at press conference she called yesterday

Caroll is stating authorities have questions to answer in this case. However, she and her niece are the ones who needs to answer some questions. Caroll needs to answer queries such as why photos of Jameis Winston and his side chick, her niece, Kinsman, wearing FSU gear, were deleted from her Facebook page according to students at the university. People connected to the team stated he and Kinsman secretly hooked up, but she became angry and offended when he wouldn't dump his out-of-state girlfriend for her (Breion Allen).

Caroll and Kinsman need to answer why social networking and several blogs are stating photos and hashtags that were on Twitter revealed, Kinsman was apart of the proudly self-proclaimed "Cleat Chasers" who got their stripes by having sex with Florida State football players (such as Winston).

Caroll and Kinsman need to answer why she and her niece did not follow up with the Tallahassee Police, having changed their minds about claims they'd made regarding Winston (also known as recanting). This failure to follow up brought the case to a screeching halt.

Caroll and her niece also need to answer why they wasted taxpayer money playing games, when a second man's DNA was discovered on her shorts, with Kinsman refusing to give his name. It cost the Florida taxpayers money when the government had to stop to investigate the men in Kinsman's life to ascertain the identity of the unnamed man/DNA, who turned out to be her boyfriend all the way in Ohio.

Jameis Winston and girlfriend Breion Allen

Kinsman could have easily given his name, saving the taxpayers money, but refused. She didn't want her boyfriend to find out she had cheated on him and with a football player. Rumors in Tallahassee allege, when her boyfriend finally found out about Winston, he attacked her. Is this where the lumbar strain came from.

For Caroll and Kinsman to be slamming the Tallahassee Police, when they failed to do their part in two notable incidents that greatly impeded the investigation at taxpayers' expense, lends a certain impression of hypocrisy regarding their criticism. The fact of the matter is there was a great lack of cooperation on Caroll and Kinsman's part, which would give any police force pause, like their time is being wasted.

It's quite telling that Caroll has resurfaced on the eve of the Heisman trophy being awarded, as it gives the impression she is trying mar the ceremony if Winston wins. Why now and not two weeks ago when the district attorney announced in a press conference there would be no charges against Winston, due to lack of evidence in the case and holes in Kinsman's story.

A man declines to make you his main chick, so you ruin his life with a lie. Next time put your big girl panties on and keep it moving. Many women have found out they are the side chick and moved on like grown women. You've wasted taxpayer money, press resources, stressed out a whole school and worst of all, made it that much harder for real rape victims to be heard.

President Obama Slams Kim Kardashian And Kanye West

Uncle Sam...doesn't want Kim and Kanye

President Obama's temper is growing short with his Hollywood Illuminati buddies. First he slammed rapper Jay-Z, over controversially going to Cuba, trying to pin the blame for the scandal it created on him, then making it doubly worse by releasing a disrespectful song called "Open Letter" mentioning the head of state's name in the same sentence with the word "impeached."

Now he's slammed Illuminati members Kanye West and Kim Kardashian as superficial and bad role models for America's youth. President Obama stated, "The American Dream involved some pretty basic stuff: a good job where you felt some security, a good education. ... People felt if they worked hard, they could get there. ... I don't think people went around saying to themselves, 'I need to have a 10,000-square-foot house' ...I think there has also been a shift in culture. We weren't exposed to the things we didn't have in the same way that kids these days are. There was not that window into the lifestyles of the rich and famous. Kids weren't monitoring every day what Kim Kardashian was wearing or where Kanye West was going on vacation and thinking that somehow that was the mark of success."

Neither are examples of success. Kanye West has been sued by so many people, famous, relatively known and unknown, for copyright infringement, over willfully stealing their preexisting copyrighted music he passed off as his own and collected big checks for. His career is based on theft. Copyright infringement is a domestic and international crime.

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian give kids nothing meaningful to aspire to in society

Kim Kardashian has no talent and became famous off the back of a sex tape. Kids and adults for that matter, should not aspire to be like them. Be the next lawyer, doctor, judge, tech giant, inventor. If you are going into entertainment, learn your craft, develop your talent and don't steal from others, as it always catches up to people and when they least expect it.

The government has not done enough to bring about a sense of equity and fairness in society. The mortgage crisis cost millions their homes mostly due to predatory lending and none of the executives responsible for the crisis have done a day in jail, though they broke the law. many of them retired rich. The bad guys won.

Companies based in fraud ripping off the public and smaller companies, made a fortune in doing so and were allowed to keep the proceeds without spending a day in prison. Meanwhile, due to the aforementioned fraud eroding the job market, kids are graduating from top notch schools and can't find employment.

What example is that to set for impressionable people. The message this has sent is hard work is no longer being rewarded and just because you work hard, don't expect to make it or succeed. The order has been reversed and it caused the financial crisis of 2008 that is still wreaking havoc today. Only cream should rise to the top...not the crap.

The NFL Disses Jay-Z With New Rule Designed To Keep Him Out

Jay-Z

The National Football League (NFL) has enacted new guidelines facetiously being labeled "The Jay-Z Rule" after the rapper, whose real name is Shawn Carter. Jay-Z recently opened a sports management company with no experience or understanding of what it takes to successfully manage an athlete's career.

It's a fine, delicate balance and more difficult to properly navigate than it looks. It's clear the film "Jerry McGuire" fooled some people. I am genuinely concerned regarding the athletes Jay-Z has signed, as his business ventures usually end in disaster and lawsuits.

Immediately after Jay-Z's announcement and the rapper trying to sign athletes, the NBA and MLB balked, then the NFL announced a new rule that all managers must have a university degree from an accredited school. It is unclear if Jay-Z has a high school diploma.

Donald Trump Offers To Donate $5,000,000 To Charity If President Obama Releases His Passport And Academic Records

Well this should be interesting, provided there is a response. Billionaire tycoon Donald Trump has made President Barack Obama an offer. Release his passport and academic records and Trump will donate $5,000,000 to the charity of the President's choice, such as AIDS and cancer research, two he has greatly neglected.

This highly publicized challenge comes in light of the fact, several experts revealed President Obama's birth certificate contained forgery and photoshopping. Millions of Americans continue to speculate, Obama was born in Kenya and not the United States, which is a violation of the Constitution in regards to the presidency.
