Why Justin Bieber Was Booed At The Billboard Awards (Video)

Pop singer Justin Bieber received a lesson yesterday in how fickle the music industry can be when he was loudly booed at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards, after being presented with the Milestone Award. The diminutive 19-year-old star stated, "I'm an artist and I should be taken seriously." The irony is, had Bieber not been a teen pop star, with his musical abilities, such as playing guitar and the drums, critics would take him more seriously for his artistry.

However, traditionally, with the way the music history and the industry has worked, teen pop stars, including boybands, are rarely commended for artistry and usually have a short career span. The New Kids On The Block were a big teen pop sensation in the late 1980s and early 1990s, selling even more records that Bieber has today, but their fame ended overnight, due to their demographic moving on to the next trend.

For a teen pop star to enter adulthood with a successful career embraced by the public and critics alike, it takes a really savvy manager with an understanding of music history (it rarely happens). Certain career moves must be avoided, thinking of the long run as opposed to short term gains.

Hopefully.

Justin Timberlake's new track "Suit And Tie" featuring rapper Jay-Z, apart of his big comeback, is flopping on the charts. Timberlake, 32, has been away from the music scene for a while and has been replaced. The poor performance of his comeback single is also bad news for Timberlake, as the flop means his 18-year-old counterpart, pop star, Justin Bieber, has officially dethroned him, just like the Judiciary Report hinted six-months ago, stating Bieber has taken over to such an extent (yea, stirring the proverbial doo-doo). Timberlake has not bee able to catch up with the release of his new music this month.

Ironically, Bieber used Timberlake's style and music to do so, as his current album Believe sounds an awful lot like Timberlake's album "Justified." Bieber continues to follow Timberlake's blueprint, which is a rip off of the teen star's mentor Usher, who jacked his style from Bobby Brown and Michael Jackson.

It doesn't appear Timberlake is too fond of Bieber, as he dissed him on the television show "Saturday Night Live." Ironically, Bieber is getting the last laugh, for the moment that is, as the music industry is full of ups and downs, so one often never knows.

Pictures hit the internet last night featuring formerly squeaky clean pop star Justin "Rasta" Bieber, smoking a marijuana joint in a hotel at a party in Newport Beach, California. TMZ is also reporting a girl spent the night with Bieber in the hotel room, who is not Selena Gomez. Bieber's camp has gone into damage control mode, but the photos are pretty striking. Bieber is on the same path many former Hollywood child stars have taken, going from being squeaky clean to drugs, alcohol and promiscuous sex.

Ironically, paparazzo Chris Guerra, who was killed two days ago by a passing car when police told him to step away from a Ferrari belonging to the singer, was adamant on the day of his death that he saw Bieber smoking marijuana in the sports car. It was reported Guerra relayed this information to a friend over the phone and was struck and killed by a car hours later. Bieber's camp accused Guerra of stalking and harassing the pop star. Apparently, Guerra saw too much, hence the complaints against him and waiting for that money shot, was hit and killed by a car.

Bieber's plate is full at this time, as Guerra's death, which is currently not the focus of a criminal investigation, could bring a lawsuit. The singer also had a huge fight with his girlfriend, Selena Gomez, who dumped him at New Years and is refusing to speak to the press about the problems surrounding the couple. He is also still trying to hook up again with Victoria Secret model Barbara Palvin.

Meanwhile, Bieber's fans brought the New Year in with a grin learning the couple broke up again (LOL). Now they will be sad to learn Bieber has been beaming up and had a chick present in the hotel room. Not the best way to start the New Year. It's time for Mama Bieber to have a talk with her boy. Considering marijuana is a gateway drug and Bieber's family has extensive addiction issues, this is dangerous.

But has it worked? No. Bieber's audience remains teen and preteen girl, as women on the whole still view him as a child and most males do not buy his music. Publicized reports also indicate Bieber's sales have gone down with his new CD "Believe."

Reality stars and pop singers having comic books made about them is cluttering the genre with foolishness that will not stand the test of time, as true pieces do. These aren't real comics. This is not what comic books were meant for, but vanity is prevailing over common sense. Who is buying this stuff anyway.

18-year-old pop singer Justin Bieber has done the standard former child star round of interviews, proclaiming he is no longer a child. Rolling Stone magazine is trying to paint him as James Dean, but Bieber is more like Jimmy Dean. Bieber's label is trying to show he is all grown up and "manly" but he is still quite young and has much to learn.

Bieber's new image as a  grown up tough guy isn't computing. He still looks younger than his years and pulls pranks associated with youth. His sophomore album "Believe" has done moderately well on the charts, but claims of copying 30-year-old pop star, Justin Timberlake, who musically mimics his mentor, Usher, continue to dog the effort.

Commercials by Proactiv skincare that feature pop stars, Justin Bieber and Katy Perry, have been banned in Britain as false and misleading. British consumer agency the Advertising Standards Authority stated, "We noted the ads were targeted at a UK audience and that the UK Proactiv products had a different active ingredient to the U.S. version. In that context, we therefore considered the claims of continued use had not been substantiated. We concluded that the ads were misleading. The ads must not appear again in their current form."

I've never tried Proactiv, as I don't have acne (I do have allergies and hypoallergenic skin, though). Some state Proactiv works, but others say no. Some celebrities that claim to use Proactiv still have noticeably blemished skin. I have read many consumer comments on the product and a general theme is when you stop using Proactiv, one's skin problems come back with a vengeance.

With a new number one album under his belt via the CD "Believe" pop singer Justin Bieber, 18, is happy with his career, even though the CD sold 60,000 copies less than predicted by industry experts. Bieber is now turning his attention to the acting world. Previously, Bieber guest starred on an episode of the CBS television show "CSI." He is now searching for the right script to make his debut in a motion picture starring role.

Carrying a film is more difficult than appearing on a television show. The subsequent success or failure of the project will be laid at Bieber's feet. His mentor, singer Usher, also made appearances in a few films, but his movie career never quite got off the ground.

Is there a rivalry between 18-year-old pop star Justin Bieber and his mentor, Usher, 34. Much like Bieber, Usher was also a child star, whose career was launched at age 15, making him a star. Usher signed Bieber to a deal on his subsidiary label and began making him over into Usher jr. with a dose of rival Justin Timberlake, who is bitter about the whole thing.

However, Bieber has sold many singles, thanks to digital sales from downloading outlets such as iTunes. Recently, Usher began living vicariously through Bieber in trying to recapture his youth. Bieber also danced around the subject of how he chose the video girl for the clip "Boyfriend." He was asked "How did you pick the girl in it?" to which Bieber responded, "They had two girls based on the pictures and we picked the one who looked best on camera. It was kind of a group thing. She was like really beautiful but on camera it gave this cool vibe. She looked like Pocahontas."

Yea right, he just said that so his girlfriend Selena Gomez wouldn't get mad and smack him up. Did you also notice the "Pocahontas" reference Bieber made, which mirrors his interracial relationship with Gomez (*making mocking kissing noises*).

Lastly, Bieber discussed an elevator game he plays with his bodyguard Kenny that should be a point of worry for his parents. Bieber revealed, "In an elevator. Kenny and all us have this game where we just hit each other in the balls. It’s just funny." If you want to have any little Biebers in the future, I suggest you stop doing that or there will be no MexiCanadian babies with Gomez.

“The baby situation — which was totally not true, by the way — I wrote a song about that,” Justin said during an interview with MTV May 3. “It’s on there. It’s like my ‘Billie Jean.’ At the end of the day, I’m human. I go through all the problems you go through.”...

While I do not watch the show "Saturday Night Live" I did see the clip online of NSYNC singer Justin Timberlake, 30, dissing pop star, Justin Bieber, 17. He made fun of Bieber describing him as, "Put a wig on a chipmunk and train it to act like a black man." Ouch!

The track is genuinely grating and irritating. She simply cannot sing and this is what music has come to today.

The schizophrenic mother of two, continues to trot around Hollywood in odd clothes, looking like an unkempt zombie. Hardly what one would call a pop star look. However, determined to greedily make money at all costs, when she is clearly mentally ill and should not be on stage, Spears is propped up by assistants and a host of pharmaceutical meds eroding her health.
