Rihanna ‘Anti’ Tour Opens To Half Empty Arena Due To Massive Sales Decline

Some of the top urban bloggers have sounded off regarding the opening of singer Rihanna’s new “Anti” tour, which took place in Jacksonville, Florida this past weekend and her show is a complete bust. That Grape Juice blog led the charge revealing Rihanna sounded like, “Struggle and stress.” The Sandra Rose blog wondered out loud why people went to the show stating, “Rihanna’s HEAT (Half Empty Arena Tour) is better suited for concert goers with hearing loss.”

Rihanna, who was flirting with blogger, Sandra Rose, inviting her on a previous press tour, will not be happy with the review. Rose declined as she's not desperate. Rose’s readers slammed Rihanna as well in the feedback section of the tour review article, labeling her washed up. That Grape Juice has also slammed Rihanna in the past for abandoning her Barbadian roots in trying to sound like she was born and raised in New York. It affirms that she is a manufactured artist willing to do anything for fame (including sleep with Jay Z and his industry cronies).

By Sam on Sunday 13th Mar 2016 - After a slew of postponements and push-backs, Rihanna finally launched her ‘ANTI World Tour’ in Jacksonville, Florida last night. The Bajan sensation has much to make up to fans following the rockiest of roll-out’s for the trek and its housing album ‘ANTI.’ 

Hoping to right the well-documented wrongs, the 28-year-old journyed through smashes such as ‘Diamonds’ and ‘Umbrella,’ as well as tackling newer numbers ala ‘Work’ and ‘Kiss It Better.’

Per the array of costumes, the production is unsurprisingly pleasing to the eye. What about the ear, though? Find out below…Sadly, Rih once again sounded like struggle and stress, case in point the footage below. It’s shocking that she’s still being allowed (by both her team and the public) to phone in these performances. Truth be told, there’d be little to harp on about if what she exhibits was the length and breadth of her ability. Yet, next to never does it ever feel like she’s turning in her heartiest effort. 

Instead, it seems like a matter of “lemme give one lazy whine and a lazier vocal and punch right on to the next city.” Said mindset is wack and, by the looks of it, so too is this tour...

Drug dealer turned rapper and reality star, TI, real name Clifford Harris, has just become the latest artist to sign with music streaming service, Tidal, owned by rapper Jay Z and pop singer, Madonna, among others. TI has also signed with Jay Z's floundering record label subsidiary, Roc Nation. The U.S. government, by way of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), has just slapped T.I. with a third tax lien, bringing the grand total to $6,200,000.

The IRS will now begin the seizure of TI's assets if he does not pay his outstanding tax bill. This means the rapper and his wife, singer and reality star, Tiny, real name Tameka Cottle, could lose their Georgia mansion, luxury cars and bank accounts. Serial adulterer, TI, has made enough money to pay his taxes. He has simply refused, opting to spend the money on luxuries to show off for the cameras on his reality show and social networking. If he continues to play games with the government, they will imprison him for tax fraud and tax evasion.

As stated in the column previously, major record labels are not happy with the struggling music streaming service, Tidal, which has botched and killed the launch of major label releases. Tidal botched the latest album release by singer Rihanna ("Anti"), who had an extramarital affair with the aforementioned TI. Tidal also ruined the release of rapper Kanye West's ("The Life Of Pablo") via a deliberate leak in conduct labeled "costly" as the rapper lost $10,000,000. "The Life Of Pablo" is now a Tidal exclusive that has lost steam and relevance, damaging West's career.

Where industry leader Apple Music is working with record labels, Tidal is being selfish and greedy, in trying to save a failed business, at the expense of artists careers and industry averages in America. The music industry in America is in big trouble, sinking fast with record low sales. It doesn't help that Tidal is demanding loyalty from artists they've given dirty, illegal career favors in the past, in failed attempts at keeping a company going the public simply is not impressed with, in demanding they sacrifice their studio albums (and careers) as exclusives for Tidal. Major labels are furious with the stunt.

R&B singer Chris Brown recently released a new album entitled "Royalty" named after his beautiful 1-year-old daughter. However, some fans are upset, as the album contains sexually explicit lyrics and profanity, which they are not comfortable with, given the title. In short, fans expected a more wholesome album due to it being named after Brown's daughter. The album features such song titles as "Liquor" and "Make Love." 14 of the 18 songs on the deluxe edition of the album have been labeled explicit by iTunes and other music sites. Some of the album's explicit lyrics include the lines:
"Just let me rock, f**k you back to sleep girl" - "Back To Sleep"

"Sex and Hennessey, get you w*t just a little bit" and "Oh baby, scream my name, put that p***y in my face" - "Little Bit"

"Rolled my weed up for the night/I'm tryna smoke" - "Picture Me Rollin"

"Talking all that s**t, don't mean /f**k around and go missing" - "Kae"

Speaking of that, the song "Kae" is a diss track about ex-girlfriend, Karrueche Tran ("Kae" is her nickname). Some of Brown's fans are not happy about this either. In the song's lyrics Brown blames Tran for not changing her ways (does not specify what) and lying to him. However, this is confusing his audience, as he is the one who secretly and accidentally fathered a child, Royalty, with another woman, Nia Guzman, while high and on liquor, in a cheating scandal that occurred during his 4-year relationship with Tran, who dumped him for it in 2015. 

"Royalty" debuted at number 3 on the Billboard Charts, with 162,000 copies sold in the first week. These were decent numbers for a major label artist in this day and age, where music by American stars is not selling well. The top sellers this year are Adele, who is British and Canadian pop star Justin Bieber. However, the sales were lower than the numbers Brown expected, leading him to chastise his supporters, calling some "fake fans."

Brown wants to be a legend like the late Michael Jackson. However, Jackson rarely used profanity and sexually explicit lyrics in his music. None of his biggest hits contain explicit lyrics. Songs with explicit lyrics do not become big classics. Music laced with profanity and sexually charged lyrics do not become legendary tunes. Music history has consistently shown they are considered dated, not timeless.

50 Cent is lying to the court through his supersized capped teeth, as he was sued and handed hefty judgments in two cases totaling $22,200,000. Being the greedy, lawless person he is, 50 Cent would rather commit bankruptcy fraud than pay what is owed. The lawsuits were not frivolous and are the direct result of his criminal behavior, arrogance and greed. These are not individuals exploiting 50 Cent. These are individuals 50 Cent criminally exploited and they sued him and won.

 

The first case is Sleek Audio vs. Curtis Jackson, in which the company was awarded $17,200,000 after 50 Cent committed criminal copyright infringement, patent infringement and corporate theft in stealing the technology and design of earphones that were pitched to him by the Plaintiff. Sleek Audio wanted 50 Cent as a front man. He got greedy and decided to break the law and steal their product, giving it a new name. 50 Cent renamed the stolen earphones from Sleek Audio to SMS Audio.

The second case, Lastonia Leviston v. Curtis Jackson, is a disgusting one, as 50 Cent cruelly obtained a private sex tape featuring the Plaintiff, who is the mother of rapper Rick Ross' child and uploaded it to the internet. 50 Cent did so out of spite and arrogance. It was a wicked thing to do. Leviston was so distressed, distraught, embarrassed and humiliated, she became "suicidal."

Leviston did not sign up to be a porn star in this matter, but 50 Cent illegally turned her into one and deserved to lose that case for being so terrible to her. I have no sympathy for him in this. 50 Cent has assets and is not entitled to bankruptcy protection. 50 Cent's Farmington, Connecticut mansion he bought from boxer Mike Tyson is worth between $15,000,000 to $20,000,000. He has owned it for nearly a decade and has been making mortgage payments on it. 50 Cent received a significant amount of stock in Vitamin Water in exchange for endorsing the product upon its debut years ago. It netted him millions of dollars. He has endorsement deals with Effen Vodka and Frigo.

50 Cent owns a home in New York that he had burned to the ground to chase out Shaniqua Tompkins, the mother of his then underage child, who was also in residence. 50 Cent was angry Tompkins, whom he was no longer dating, had a boyfriend living in the house with her. 50 Cent collected the insurance money after the blaze. He also purchased a condo in Los Angeles for Daphne Joy, the mother of his second child, to live with his son. He subsequently trashed the furniture he bought and beat her, resulting in his arrest.

Since his debut in 2003, 50 Cent has sold over 20,000,000 albums worldwide, 10,000,000 singles and embarked on many tours and live shows, bringing in millions of dollars in profit. He has made $500,000 from his acting career (despite the fact he can't act).

50 Cent has also purchased a number of luxury vehicles. He claims they are all leased, but that is not true. You cannot lease luxury vehicles and alter them as he has done to some of the cars he has driven. It would be a violation of the lease. 50 Cent has also made hefty bets on sporting events and won money. His net worth is not $4,400,000. Therefore, he is hiding money and assets. He can afford to pay the judgments and have money and assets left over for himself. He just finds it extremely difficult to part with $22,000,000 to pay court judgments over his poor choices. Therefore, his bankruptcy case is not legitimate. This is not what bankruptcy is for.

Bankruptcy is for people in genuine financial distress, who need legal relief, not for millionaires hiding assets in attempting to get out of multi-million dollar court judgments caused by their stupidity and arrogance in violating other people's rights. Bankruptcy fraud is also a felony investigated by the federal government and is punishable by 5-years in prison and $250,000 in fines.

When it rains it pours. After Mariah Carey's latest CD "Elusive Chanteuse" flopped, in what was an unexpected development for her label, management, publicist and husband, many severed ties with her. Carey's cornball husband, Nick Cannon, left her stating she is mentally ill and her publicist ditched her as well. The singer is currently looking for new representation. Carey is expected to lose her record deal with Def Jam, who poured money into "Elusive Chanteuse" only to see it bomb (under a boycott). Had the album been successful Def Jam would have renewed Carey's recording contract.

Carey's publicist, Cindi Berger, unable to cope with the singer's first real career failure or increasingly erratic behavior, dropped her as a client, then got into a war of words with her. Berger maintains she quit. However, Carey is making a scene taking the Hollywood approach by stating she dropped Berger via a missive that stated, "I think it's time for us to take a break Cindi." Carey really was dropped by Berger. Carey's career has imploded. So has her personal life. A top publicist does not want the job of explaining that to the media on a weekly basis.

R&B singer Chris Brown has just announced he will be releasing two CDs this year. The CDs are tentatively titled "X" and "Fan Of A Fan" due for release this summer. It has also been announced Rihanna is in the studio bleating like a goat at a barbeque recording music for release this year.

The two entertainers, who have a tumultuous romantic history, are releasing competing CDs, which will be compared to each other as industry pundits and the public continues to gauge the impact of the fall out from their high profile fight on their career sales. Who will sell more. Time will tell.

L.A. Reid States 'Sorry Folks TLC Have Not Been Dropped By Epic'

This week, two of TLC's top fansites bitterly complained on the social networking website Twitter that the female duo had been dropped from Epic/Sony records because of their former manager, Pebbles, being angry with the portrayal of her in the movie "CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story" (Pebbles Being Blamed For TLC Being Dropped From Sony Music's Epic Records But The Truth Is...).

Television network VH-1 issued a retraction to Pebbles on the former "true story" rebranding it a "fictionalized" account of events that transpired and no "reasonable person" should take it literally. However, some fans of TLC have been directing a lot of hate and animosity towards Pebbles on Twitter.

However, when TLC were removed from the Epic/Sony recently, the webmasters of a couple TLC fansites, drew the public's attention to it and blamed Pebbles as the reason behind it. However, as a pr rep pointed out to me and others on Twitter, L.A. Reid has since issued a tweet stating, "sorry folks- @OfficialTLC have not been dropped by @Epic_Records and yes we @officialchilli and @tbozworld are friends 4 life!"

 

Either the fansites were misinformed or the usage of the words "sorry folks" in L.A. Reid's statement indicates they were dropped but have been reinstated. Either way, as the Judiciary Report pointed out yesterday, TLC's sales new are too low (50,000 units in one month) as artists selling five times as many units have been dropped.

The whole dynamic of the group changed when Lisa Lopes died a decade ago in a tragic car accident. Things haven't been the same since, then the group went on an extended hiatus. Many younger audiences do not know who TLC are, though the biopic did grant them new exposure.

After a long absence from the music scene, R&B girl group TLC, resigned with Sony Music, this time landing at Epic Records, from Clive Davis' Arista, which was absorbed into the major label. They were set to release new material in 2014.

Today it is being claimed, due to their controversial "CrazySexyCool" The TLC Story" biopic that aired on VH-1, which led to the network issuing a retraction regarding the negative portrayal of the group's former manager and mentor, Pebbles, who launched them to fame, the group has now been dropped from Epic/Sony.

Fans sites are stating it is because of Pebbles and claims TLC member Rozanda "Chilli" Thomas had an affair with her mentor's then husband, L.A. Reid, while they were married. The Judiciary Report can confirm based on a very credible source that Chilli and L.A. Reid had an affair, which the site has maintained for years.

However, the low sales of TLC's current CD "20" which serves as a soundtrack for the aforementioned biopic, is probably a bigger culprit in the group allegedly being dropped from Epic. The CD "20" has sold roughly 50,000 copies after one month of release.

To a major label that represents a failed album. There are major label artists selling five times as many copies of their CD and getting dropped. The CD "20" has been given a significant amount of promotion, via an internet advertising campaign, hundreds of articles and blog posts, radio airplay and particularly via the biopic being viewed by 4,500,000 people.

To music executives, for an act to have that much exposure as major label artists and only sell 50,000 indicates a problem. Labels are low on profits in comparison to a decade ago and are quick to cut their losses and move on in the current sales climate when music just isn't selling what it used to anymore.

Destiny's Child began falsely asserting they are the biggest selling female group of all time, over TLC, when in actuality, it is the Spice Girls. Scared his next album will be another sales disappointment, rapper Jay-Z has signed a deal with Samsung, who will buy and distribute for free, 1 million copies of his forthcoming CD. Many are criticizing the move as a sales scheme on Jay-Z's end.

Previously, Jay-Z was slammed for a massive sales scandal that discredited well known music industry company Soundscan (Jay-Z turned it into Soundscam). Jay-Z, a one time drug dealer who still brags about said misbehavior in a manner not helpful to impressionable people, rather than denouncing it, bribed retailers to scan the same copy of his CD through the register repeatedly to register higher sales.

It gave him undeserved and unearned number one records on Billboard, also discrediting and tainting their charts, while robbing others of their rightful position and accolades. From day one Jay-Z entered the music industry with drug money, using it to fund his record company Rockafella and engage in illegal payola to guarantee him airplay, which counts towards number one singles on the music charts.

Jay-Z, who has been faced with a string of business failures, has a career that is all smoke and mirrors, to create the illusion of success. It's one thing to take payment for advertising tweets on Twitter, as many have done so as a legitimate business. However, things have gone so far regarding Jay-Z that he pays people to tweet compliments about him, his appearance, daughter, wife and career. That's just sad.

The case was sent to the district attorney, who has decided not to pursue charges against the teen. In future, Bieber should not resort to violence, opting to call police for assistance, because things could have gone very differently and it is unlawful to physically assault others.

Is there a rivalry between 18-year-old pop star Justin Bieber and his mentor, Usher, 34. Much like Bieber, Usher was also a child star, whose career was launched at age 15, making him a star. Usher signed Bieber to a deal on his subsidiary label and began making him over into Usher jr. with a dose of rival Justin Timberlake, who is bitter about the whole thing.

The two have sold millions of records, with Usher maintaining a comfortable lead in the sales department. However, Bieber has sold many singles, thanks to digital sales from downloading outlets such as iTunes. Recently, Usher began living vicariously through Bieber in trying to recapture his youth. Therefore, is there a competition between the two or any jealousy. Does Usher want to pull Bieber's hair out and does Bieber want slap Usher across the face using one of Michael Jackson's old sequined gloves, in a tender and delicate, yet angry way.

Houston tragically died on February 11, 2012 of a cocaine overdose, which led to her drowning in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, California.
