"12 Rounds" Film Review

Title: 12 Rounds

Year Of Release: 2009

Review Date: February 28, 2010

Rating: R

Running time: 108 minutes

Box Office Gross: $17,037,910

"12 Rounds" is an action film about a cop and his wife, who are subjected to the psychotic schemes and ramblings, of a hardened criminal that targets the pair, due to the accidental death of his girlfriend, at the police officer’s hands.

Bent on revenge, he breaks out of prison, stalks, kidnaps and terrorizes the police officer’s wife, while demanding the cop accomplishes a number of deadly, deranged tasks in 12 rounds of sadistic play, lest he kills her.

This film stars WWE wrestler, John Cena, who is a modern day, Arnold Schwarzenegger in looks and physique. It is uncanny how much he recalls Arnold in his hay day as an action star.

Wrestling is very popular in America, often selling out arenas on tour. However, "12 Rounds" is another WWE production, packed with very violent, questionable scenes and language that limits the audience it garners, resulting in a lower box office. It was the same story with its predecessor "The Marine." The production quality and acting are fine - it's the content that's the problem.

"Big FAT Liar" Movie Review

Title: Big FAT Liar

Year Of Release: 2002

Review Date: February 28, 2010

Rating: PG

Running time: 88 minutes

Box Office Gross: $47,000,000

"Big Fat Liar" is a comedy about the common Hollywood practice of stealing other people‘s works and ideas and passing them off as one’s own, which is unlawful under the Copyright Act and Berne Convention.

Teenager, Jason Shepherd, writes a school essay about being a liar and through a chance meeting with a Hollywood executive, Marty Wolf, on the way to school, it is stolen.

Wolf is a lazy, shiftless, not so bright Hollywood degenerate that reads the essay and takes credit for it by turning it into a film. The movie goes into production, with his name deceitfully on it as writer.

The teenager finds out about it and goes Home Alone on him, via terrorizing him through a series of pranks and mishaps, until the truth comes out to the world about the true authorship of the story used to make the film.

Iraqi Christians Protest Murders

Christians in Iraq protest

Iraqi Christians have come out in droves to protest the murders of their brothers and sisters in the faith, in the war torn Middle Eastern country.

Muslims have murdered Christians in Iraq, in senseless acts of violence, which does not help their case in the world. May the Christians of Iraq remain peaceful and strong in the faith, knowing that God will give them their reward in heaven. God bless you.

Iraqi Christians protest slayings, Pope concerned

Sun Feb 28, 2010 12:47pm EST

MOSUL, Iraq (Reuters) - At least 1,000 minority Christians, many holding olive branches, marched in protest near the restive city of Mosul on Sunday to urge the Iraqi government to act decisively after a series of killings.

At least eight Christians have been killed in the last two weeks in the turbulent northern city, 390 km (250 miles) north of Baghdad, prompting Pope Benedict to appeal on Sunday for Iraq's Christians to be better protected.

Two of those attacked had gone missing, their bodies later found dumped in the street with gunshot wounds. Others were shot dead in the street, near their homes, or at their place of work.

Some 683 Christian families, or 4,098 people, fled Mosul between February 20 and 27 following the attacks, a United Nations report said on Sunday.

The murders came just weeks before Iraq's March 7 parliamentary election, which has the potential to help cement an end to seven years of war or plunge a still-divided country into a new cycle of violence.

"I appeal to the civil authorities to complete every effort to give security again to the population, and in particular, to the most vulnerable religious minorities," the Pope said in his weekly blessing from Vatican City.

Priests in religious vestments led the protest procession in the Christian town of Hamdaniya, 40 km (25 miles) east of Mosul.

"The blood of innocents screams for terrorism and violence to be stopped," read one banner.

Sunni Islamist insurgents such as al Qaeda have long targeted Christians, Yazidis, Shabaks, and other Iraqi minorities, as well as majority Shi'ites, whom they consider heretics. Christians number an estimated 750,000 in Iraq, a small minority in a country of 28 million...

Obama Still Smoking Cigarettes

U.S. President Barack Obama

This is a follow up to the February 23. 2010 article Dick Cheney And Bob Dole Hospitalized, where it was stated regarding U.S. President Barack Obama, "...President Obama, whose heart is years younger (though he could quit the smoking, as it promotes cancer via first, second and third hand smoke)."

Today, February 28. 2010, it was revealed by the Associated Press, via his first required check up, President Obama is indeed still smoking cigarettes. "Barry" needs to stop smoking.

Obama yet to kick smoking habit, should eat better

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama hasn't kicked the smoking habit, takes anti-inflammatory medication to relieve chronic tendonitis in his left knee and should eat better to lower his cholesterol, his team of doctors concluded Sunday after the 48-year-old's first medical checkup as commander in chief.

The hoops-happy chief executive, who has endured an exhausting White House run and yearlong battles with congressional Republicans, was otherwise declared in excellent health and fit for duty.

The White House physician, Navy Capt. Jeffrey Kuhlman, said Obama should stick with "smoking cessation efforts," the use of nicotine gum, and come back in August 2011 after he turns 50...

Lady Gaga Becoming Lady Crazy

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga's mental breakdown is again beginning to resemble that of pop tart, Britney Spears, more and more everyday. The Mirror (UK) spent a day with Lady Gaga and documented her conduct.

Screaming, tantrums, tearful outbursts and switching clothes with random strangers, in the same manner fellow Kabbalah member Britney Spears behaved before she was committed to a psych ward, is very telling.

Lady GaGa: We spend 24hrs with star and witness screaming tantrums, switching identities and sleepless nights

27/02/2010 - Dressed demurely in a long black raincoat and enormous shades, Lady GaGa quietly beckoned the waitress to her side.

The similarities between the two women were striking. Both were petite with tousled peroxide hair and crimson red lips. And for GaGa, it was an opportunity for mischief too great to resist.

“Let’s swap clothes,” she whispered into the waitress’s ear. “I need those paps off my back.”

Outside the smart Bar and Grill restaurant in the heart of Liverpool, rain-sodden paparazzi had gathered to snap the songstress who had so far evaded them.

To the bemusement of her male companion, Lady GaGa leapt from the table, led the waitress by the hand to the kitchen and ordered her to strip and exchange clothes.

Within minutes, the impromptu decoy was scurrying out of the side entrance chased by a stampede of camera-men, while Lady Gaga and her bodyguards slipped unnoticed through a fire escape and into a waiting car.

Breathless and giggling, she collapsed in the back of the blacked-out Merc and high-fived her companion.

Welcome to the mad, bad court of Lady GaGa, the biggest and most flamboyant pop star on the planet...

Then GaGa – whose 2008 debut album The Fame has netted her a cool £15million – was led up to her £600-a-night penthouse suite where she gathered her entourage for one of her “pep-talks”...

But, instead of hitting the sack, she spent several hours perfecting dance routines on the blustery terrace while continuing to chain-smoke...

GaGa spent the following day preparing for the concert where she had a last-minute change of mind about the set design. Her boyfriend – who she affectionately calls DaDa – repeatedly told her that “everything would be OK” as she burst into tears.

The pair – who have been dating on and off for 12 months – then went to the venue where stage crew were forced to order in new sets just hours before the start.

One crew member said: “She’s mad and completely neurotic. She gets an idea in her head and changes things, saying, ‘It won’t work any other way.’ We started off with 13 trucks of stage equipment and in the end we needed 16.”

During the show itself, her internet entrepreneur father Joseph, 53, watched wide-eyed as his daughter simulated sex with an imaginary penis. She also changed outfits a staggering 15 times...

Sir Alex Ferguson Could Face Fine For BBC Boycott

Sanctions For Continued Snub

Alex Ferguson

Manchester United manager, Alex Ferguson, is facing sanctions if he continues to boycott the BBC, for doing a terrible piece on his son, who was later cleared of wrongdoing. I don't know why certain people at the BBC like to get so personal and defamatory with others, spooling in their family members into abuses of the Queen's airwaves.

Exactly who's running the BBC that they have fallen afoul of so many people. It is supposed to be a government trust, paid for by Britons' tax dollars, yet certain social and political activists seek employment there to incite trouble and their own agenda, that sometimes breaks the law.

Man U faces sanctions for Ferguson's BBC boycott

LONDON — Manchester United will be punished by the English Premier League if manager Alex Ferguson keeps boycotting the British Broadcasting Corporation in the upcoming season.

Ferguson — the most successful manager in British soccer history — has refused to speak to the BBC for six years since an investigation was aired questioning the business dealings of his son Jason, who was then working as a soccer agent. He was not found guilty of wrongdoing.

The Premier League is introducing the new rule, which will take effect at the start of the season in August. It will force the 68-year-old Ferguson to speak to the BBC, which pays to show highlights of matches on its popular evening Match of the Day program, and BBC Radio Five Live, which airs live commentaries...

Obama Reminds McCain He is The President

Obama to McCain: 'The Election's Over'

U.S. President Barack Obama took a jab at former campaign rival, Republican senator, John McCain, by reminding him the election is over, when the latter told the former the Congress should give Americans a more fair deal in health care. That really was not necessary.

Obama Renews Patriot Act Provisions

U.S. President Barack Obama

U.S. President Barack Obama, has renewed former President George W. Bush's controversial Patriot Act, in particular, three provisions, some of which are sorely being abused by the FBI.

The provision that, "Authorizes court-approved roving wiretaps that permit surveillance on multiple phones" is severely being abused by the FBI, to spy on innocent people in America, both citizen and non-citizen, with no suspected terrorist affiliations.

There is a type of roving mobile phone bug (wiretap) the Judiciary Report wrote about two years ago, based on a story that ran on Fox News. The FBI has the ability to turn on your mobile phone anywhere you are, triggering the microphone and having it act as an audio bug.

This enables them to pick up all conversation wherever the mobile phone is present, whether it be in your living room, bedroom, home office, car, church or at work.

It was used in a mafia case a few years ago and as you can tell, a Mafioso is not typically classified as a terrorist, but rather a hardened criminal.

Robert S. Mueller

However, on the orders of FBI Director, Robert S. Mueller, roving mobile phone audio bugs mentioned above, have also been improperly and illegally used on journalists, bloggers, politicians, community workers, activists and businesspeople, among others, who have not broken the law.

In some instances, it was done off the record, in others the FBI flat out lied, making up stories, trying to tie innocent people to terrorist investigations they knew they had nothing to do with, in order to spy on people they had no legal grounds to place under invasive surveillance.

Then, when they've sufficiently snooped on the innocent targets, they close out the sub-investigations, claiming there was no finding of terrorism or connection thereto, regarding said journalist, blogger, activist ect...

It's fine to employing surveillance methods on genuine terrorist suspects, but some people in America have been subjected to this, based on political and financial reasons, which is unconstitutional and unlawful.

Obama signs one-year extension of Patriot Act

Saturday, February 27, 2010; 6:11 PM - WASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama has signed a one-year extension of several provisions in the nation's main counterterrorism law, the Patriot Act.

Provisions in the measure would have expired on Sunday without Obama's signature Saturday.

The act, which was adopted in the weeks after the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks, expands the government's ability to monitor Americans in the name of national security.

Three sections of the Patriot Act that stay in force will:

-Authorize court-approved roving wiretaps that permit surveillance on multiple phones.

-Allow court-approved seizure of records and property in anti-terrorism operations.

-Permit surveillance against a so-called lone wolf, a non-U.S. citizen engaged in terrorism who may not be part of a recognized terrorist group...
