Uber Having Problems As Drivers Are Accused Of Committing Violent Crimes Such As Rape And Engaging In Price Gouging

Uber

The new Uber car service is experiencing problems, due to the company's practice of undercutting cab drivers in America, Britain and Europe (among other things). Cab drivers all over the world are complaining they pay fees and follow guidelines Uber is flouting, while taking business from them. They are demanding the company be regulated or closed, as it is resorting to ruthless business practices and not properly screening drivers.

Uber has come under fire due to incidents regarding their drivers criminal behavior and the service as a whole engaging in price gouging during the recent London Tube strike. The Telegraph newspaper in London reported that Uber began doubling its prices during the recent Tube strike, charging consumers exorbitant sums for fares.

ITV News and the Mirror newspaper reported that an Uber driver, Mohammad Rahman, who moved to Britain from Bangladesh in 2006, raped a woman that called for an Uber car, after a gathering she attended with co-workers at a restaurant and bar. The unnamed woman was very drunk and could not pay her fare. Rahman, a married Muslim with children, is said to have stopped the car and forced the woman to have sex with him stating, "If you can't pay cash you will have to pay me some other way."

Mohammad Rahman

When Rahman was arrested and charged with two offenses (sexual assault and rape) in connection with the incident, he suspiciously refused to answer relevant questions asked by police in relation to what transpired. All he kept stating to police is he has a good relationship with his wife, which is irrelevant under the circumstances. Raham then went into court at the Old Bailey in London, England, claiming he was the one who was a raped by the very drunk female passenger.

Rahman stated, "I never wanted to do that as I have a wife at home. My religion wouldn't allow me to do it, mentally I didn't want to do anything. I had no taste to do anything...I didn't force her. She forced me." He also stated "it lasted 2-seconds" (based on what people online joke about sex, he really shouldn't brag about that). Rahman claimed he was raped, but did not report it to police, until they arrested and charged him with raping the passenger.

There are many well-documented incidents of rape, physical abuse and honor killings against women in the Muslim religion. Women are deemed second class citizens, whose lives are not worth as much as men. The religion greatly favors males over females, granting women no real human rights.

As a result of his story, Rahman was acquitted of sexual assault and walked free. The rape charge is still under trial. Ironically, the drunk passenger was the one with the torn clothes. In short, his story is not believable. A very drunk, incapacitated female passenger raping a strong, angry cab driver, who did not get paid for the car service, is highly improbable.

Anna Kealey

Another Uber customer, Anna Kealey, was threatened in a three minute voice message by the driver that was assigned to her. Kealey changed her mind and called back to cancel the car. The driver left her an angry voice message full of shouting and threats such as "You idiot. I'll cut your neck."

Uber driver walks free after claiming he was raped by drunk woman who could not pay fare

An Uber driver accused of forcing a drunk passenger into having sex with him when she could not pay the fare walked free from court, after accusing the woman of raping him. The drunk woman got into Mohammad Rahman's car in Hackney, east London, and took her to west London at the end of his shift, the court heard.

He is alleged to have stopped his car in Hammersmith and forced her into having sex, saying "if you can't pay cash you will have to pay me some other way". Rahman, who moved from Bangladesh to the UK in 2006 and is married, told the Old Bailey the woman forced him into having sex, and he was ashamed of what happened.

The jury cleared Rahman of a separate sexual assault, but could not decide over the rape allegation. He will not face retrial as the woman has said she will not give evidence for a second time. Rahman is accused of tearing the woman's clothing and raping her in a lay-by...

He insisted the woman forced him to have sex against his will and he had considered reporting what happened to the police. He told the Old Bailey: I was thinking I will go to the police station and report it. But I felt so bad and so ashamed, what would I say? How are I going to say to the police that I was forced by someone. So I didn't go to the police.

Rahman refused to answer police questions, apart from to tell officers he had a good relationship with his wife. The woman, who had been drinking with colleagues at the London Fields Brewery in Hackney, described herself as being "beyond drunk", when the alleged attacks took place.

Walmart's Lawyers Run Afoul Of The Public Blaming Tracy Morgan For Injuries In Deadly Bus Crash

Tracy Morgan

Lawyers are sometimes oblivious to public opinion regarding cases, single-mindedy focused on winning at all cost. However, in doing so, lawyers sometimes end up doing more harm than good to their clients' interests. Case in point, lawyers for Walmart are blaming comedian/actor, Tracy Morgan, for serious injuries he sustained in a fatal accident.

Walmart's attorney, Jeffrey O'Hara of LeClairRyan, wrote in court pleadings that Morgan's injuries, "Were caused, in whole or in part, by plaintiffs' failure to properly wear an appropriate available seatbelt restraint device." In short, Walmart's lawyers are blaming Morgan for his injuries in the crumpled van.

As a result, the public is ripping Walmart in feedback sections of many websites over their lawyers' insensitive, callous claims. It is damaging Walmart's name with the public in acts that are "pennywise but pound foolish." The bad publicity it is creating is not worth it to the company.

A Walmart driver, who had been on the road for too many hours in a row, driving 770 miles, slammed a massive 18-wheeler truck into Morgan's Mercedes limo van carrying several people, including a friend and fellow comedian, who died in the horrible wreck.

At the end of the day, Walmart's overworked driver, who was on the road 24 hours straight, carelessly and negligently slammed into Morgan's limo bus, a vehicle a mere fraction of the size of the 18-wheeler truck. The absence of a seatbelt is not to blame.

Walmart Faults Tracy Morgan for Not Wearing Seatbelt During Car Accident (Exclusive)

On Monday, Walmart delivered its answer in a New Jersey federal court to 30 Rock actor Tracy Morgan's lawsuit arising from a six-car accident on the New Jersey Turnpike. Among nine affirmative defenses, Walmart says that injuries "were caused, in whole or in part, by plaintiffs' failure to properly wear an appropriate available seatbelt restraint device."

Morgan was among several people injured who are now suing Walmart for negligence. In particular, their lawsuit filed in July questions whether Walmart driver Kevin Roper was fatigued at the time of the crash. According to the suit, Roper had commuted 700 miles from his home in Jonesboro, Ga., to a Walmart facility in Smyrna, Del., before beginning his shift.

U.S. Supreme Court To Decide If Cops Have The Right To Take Americans' Blood

Supreme Court

The U.S. Supreme Court is scheduled to hear arguments regarding granting police officers the ability to obtain Americans' blood, during DUI stops on the road. The Judiciary Report is not in favor of such a measure. Not only does it open the police up to health hazards, it can also unduly incriminate citizens in cases that corruption creeps in.

Take for example, the O.J. Simpson case. As much as it appears the former NFL football player knew more than he was saying about the brutal murder of his ex-wife, it was crystal clear a police officer on the case had tampered with his blood samples in an effort to make him look guilty.

Justin Bieber Pulled Over By Police Again As Judge Rules Against Him

Justin Bieber being pulled over in Los Angeles

18-year-old pop singer, Justin Bieber, was pulled over by police in Los Angeles for making an unsafe left turn, in an incident where it was later discovered he was driving with an expired registration. The white Ferrari caught the attention of cops in West Hollywood, who promptly issued Bieber a ticket for his dangerous driving. You know his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez called the po-po on him (just kidding). If your man dropped you for a Victoria Secret model, you wouldn't be too chirpy either.

In other Bieber news, the paparazzi that chased him down a Los Angeles highway, resulting in a 100MPH chase like his name was O.J. Simpson, has received news that two of the four charges against him in the incident has been dropped. The judge declared the anti-paparazzi law unconstitutional. The district attorney vows to appeal the ruling. At the end of the day, paparazzi should not be allowed to engage people in high speed chases. It is a public hazard.

Another Woman Beaten On A Public Bus Signaling A Regrettable Trend That Must Stop

19-year-old Ernestine Parker says she was attacked and beaten for 8 city blocks by two men on a public bus in Maryland. Parker stated no one on the bus would help her and the driver kept going without stopping during the incident.

This marks the second high profile beating of a public bus patron, as Shidea Lane was beaten by a city bus driver after she allegedly hit him. The Judiciary Report hopes this alarming trend of violence on bus transport in America will stop, as it is unnecessary, dangerous, a safety hazard and will breed costly lawsuits that can be avoided.

Woman Speaks Out About Being Punched And Tossed Off Public Bus By Driver

UPDATE: It was first reported Lane was a teen. However, she is 25-years-old.

Warning: video contains violence and profanity

Shidea Lane, the woman, who was on the receiving end of an uppercut punch by a bus driver in Ohio, spoke out about the incident that saw her physically beaten and tossed off a public bus in America. Lane got into an argument with the bus driver and some witnesses stated she hit him.

Shidea Lane

The alleged blow led to the elderly bus driver decking Lane and booting the woman from the bus. Lane refuses to comment on those claims and the bus driver has been removed from his post. Naturally, the bus company will end up on the receiving end of a lawsuit, over conduct precipitated by Lane and made much worse by the bus driver's violent actions. If it is proven Lane hit the driver first, he may sue or countersue her, claiming it was self-defense.

Justin Bieber Branded A Reckless Driver For Repeated Infractions Of The Law

Justin Bieber

The TMZ website has published a list of road infractions committed by 18-year-old pop star, Justin Bieber and it is an indication that the young singer needs to make some changes. The site states police have caught Bieber going at excessive rates of speed on at least two occasions.

In a third incident, Bieber cut off a police officer in traffic, while driving his Batmobile (yes, that's right, his Batmobile). He was yelled at by a police officer in another incident for illegally parking his car and blocking traffic, while he went into a massage parlor.

The singer was also cited by police for "making an unsafe left turn" and in a separate incident, hit another car. Bieber is driving like he is playing a video game, weaving in and out of traffic at high speeds. However, this is real life and not a game and in driving in that manner, Bieber is begging for something bad to happen.

Until he can prove he is able to safely drive and obey the rules of the road, Bieber should not be behind the wheel. Some of his fans are not going to want to read that, but it is for his own good and that of the public and may save lives. Someone could die if this continues in the manner it has been for the past several months.

Basketball Player Derek Rose And His Driver Detained By Police For DUI In Los Angeles

Derek Rose

Do you guys remember my funny desperate article from a few months ago (April 22, 2011) in support of the Miami Heat, entitled "Derek Rose Is A Thorn." Well, today TMZ published a story stating Derek Rose and his driver were pulled over for DUI last night (*hides under desk*).

Now, was I or was I not clear when I stated in the article that I wanted Rose arrested for DWB (not DUI) and right before a playoff game against the Miami Heat. The police got it backwards. But if they would like to make it up to me, they could arrest Mark Cuban...(kidding).
