Stacey Dash Infuriates Social Networking Calling For The End Of Black History Month, BET, The BET Awards And The NAACP Image Awards

Former actress and current Fox News contributor, Stacey Dash, has infuriated social networking by calling for the end of Black History Month, the BET Network (Black Entertainment Television), The BET Awards and the NAACP Image Awards.

Dash is being slammed for stating, "I think it's ludicrous. We have to make up own minds. Either we want to have segregation or integration, and if we don't want segregation, then we have to get rid of channels like BET and the BET Awards and the Image Awards, where you're only awarded if you're black. If it were the other way around, we'd be up in arms. It's a double standard. There shouldn't be a Black History Month. We're Americans, period."

Dash's statements are wholly inaccurate. BET does give awards to white people as well. White, gay British soul singer, Sam Smith, took one of the top awards at the 2015 BET Awards Show. The Image Awards gives awards to blacks, Hispanics and Asians to recognize minorities and has also publicly celebrated white men and women who have helped people of color in the world. These awards were created due to America's terrible problems with institutionalized racism that reached a fevered pitch during the civil rights movement.

I grew up watching BET and MTV (the latter was largely white at the time). I find Dash's statements ridiculous. I also grew up watching Telemundo, Galavision and Univision which celebrate Hispanic culture. In Britain, there is the Africa channel, as well as Indian networks, celebrating each respective culture, that I've also began watching in recent years. As a black woman, I don't take offense at other people respectfully celebrating their races, cultures and ancestry.

I appreciate my cultures and that of others. Dash is missing the point of the aforementioned channels altogether and if she can't appreciate that, then the problem is with her. If someone wants to celebrate being black (African), Hispanic (Spain, Cuba, Puerto Rico), Portuguese (Portugal, Brazil), Chinese, Russian, Germany, Japanese, English, Scottish or Irish (Celtic) how is that a problem for you, Ms. Dash. 

Dash is a black woman of mixed ancestry that repeatedly shows she resents being black. Dash repeatedly attacks all things black and it is disgraceful. You're black. Everyone can see that. Get over it. There's nothing wrong with being black or any other color. God created us all. 

Side Bar: This is the same Stacey Dash who starred in music videos on BET by black artists Kanye West and Carl Thomas. Dash was a "video girl" in hip hop music videos on BET, a term black Americans facetiously refer to as a "video hoe." However, with her new, lofty, haughty reinvention on Fox News as a deluded black bigot, Dash is trying to play that down. Girl, I remember your video hoeing. Yea, I said it.

This past Saturday, lightweight boxing champion of the world, Floyd Mayweather, caused controversy on social networking and websites, by stating during a press conference for his fight Mayweather v. Maidana 2, that he slept with Tiny, the wife of rapper T.I.

Mayweather stated regarding Tin'y unfaithful husband T.I., "What about the bitch? I was f***ing his b***h." However, hours later Mayweather stated what he'd actually said was, "He thinks I was f***ing his bitch." He further stated, "I've never been with Tiny sexually. I respect her situation and I think she's a good person. I would never disrespect a marriage."

According to TMZ, Tiny agreed, "T.I.'s wife Tiny confirms that statement ... telling us she's never had sexual relations with Floyd -- and thinks he only spoke out at the presser to get revenge for her BET Awards diss. As for T.I. ... he simply told us, "I hope he is enjoying himself. God bless him."

In the lead up to the 2014 BET Awards pop culture websites and blogs were posting items stating Rihanna and Chris Brown were scheduled to attend, as both were nominated in their respective categories. It turned into jokes and jabs on social networking regarding Chris Brown and girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, who snagged a job as host, avoiding his ex-girlfriend, Rihanna, who is still in love with him.

Further upsetting Rihanna is a photo Karrueche Tran posted to her Instagram account days prior to the show, smiling with top BET executive, Debra Lee. It was a symbol that Tran was moving up in the industry. Due to her affiliation with Brown, Tran has been receiving endorsement deals, paid appearance requests and modeling jobs.

Clearly Rihanna didn't take any of this well, as she posted an item on social networking pretending she forgot the date of the BET Awards, in what was an slight, agreeing with a comment labeling the show a "mess." I didn't think the show was a mess. Neither did the other 8,000,000 people who tuned in. By the way, Rihanna lost both awards she was nominated for.

In other Chris Brown news, the singer was seen throwing up gang signs at a BET Awards show after party, while listening and dancing to music. Brown's fans on social networking and blog website feedback sections are concerned about his affiliation with the Piru street gang. Brown joined for protection from certain violent industry individuals who have been harassing and threatening him.

Top earning boxer, Floyd Mayweather, has been having a tough time of late. After a restful month in Miami with his family, which he tweeted about on Twitter, the boxer ventured out to Los Angeles. First Mayweather was snubbed by ex-fiancée, Shantel Jackson, whom he waved at in a Los Angeles night club. Mayweather, who was in the club with his new girlfriend that his ex-fiancée has hated for over a year, masseuse, Doralie Medina, tried to make a peace offering in waiving and saying hi to Jackson, but she blanked him.

Jackson has been struggling after selling two cars and a luxury purse Mayweather bought for her while they were together. Jackson then purchased a less expensive car, while using the rest of the money to live in Los Angeles, in trying to make it as an actress. Jackson aborted Mayweather's unborn twin babies, lying to him that he stressed her out and caused a miscarriage, when in actuality she didn't want to gain weight with pregnancy, because she believed it would ruin her chances as an actress. The only thing standing in Jackson's way regarding becoming a successful actress is her profound lack of acting ability.

Jackson should have put family first, had Mayweather's babies she was knocked up with after sneakily breaking up his relationship with his true love, then gone on a diet and had more plastic surgery done to get her body back how she wanted it. Now she has no career, no name, no fiancée, no money and a boyfriend with financial struggles, who is cheating on her (Nelly). It's ironic, she didn't love Mayweather and was using him for his money, which is something no one deserves to have done to them, now life is giving her back the negativity and treachery she inflicted on others.

Mayweather's trip to Los Angeles continued to get worse, as singer and reality star, Tiny, who is a longtime friend and married to rapper, TI, snubbed the boxer on the red carpet as he tried to say hello to her as well. Tiny's husband, TI, had attacked Mayweather in Las Vegas, over her spending time with him and his Money Team. Both Mayweather and Tiny denied anything inappropriate happened.

It is believed TI has issued threats over Mayweather, which may have led to Tiny keeping her distance from the boxer on the red carpet. TI needs to have a seat. He brags that he knows thugs, but guess what, so does Mayweather. He needs to call a truce and stop challenging Mayweather over the rapper's neglectful, unfaithful conduct towards his wife.

Mayweather's rough weekend was rounded out by news his children had met in a car accident while he was presenting at the BET Awards. Mayweather's friend, singer Justin Bieber, went to pick them up after the crash and brought the kids to their dad.

R&B singer Chris Brown found himself a new chick at the BET Awards and he couldn't keep his lips off her. Her first name is Grey and her last name is Goose... as in Grey Goose (liquor)! The singer performed his latest hit "Loyal" to a standing ovation at the awards show. The song's main lyric "these ho* ain't loyal" has become a catch phrase, with many believing he is talking about ex-girlfriend Rihanna, who's had sex with many men in the entertainment industry.

However, after the BET Awards show, a visibly inebriated Brown was helped to his car by bodyguard, Chris Hollosy, clearly proving "these drinks ain't loyal" either. Brown's girlfriend Karrueche Tran drove him home. To save a hangover and your health, next time drink less.

R&B singer, Chris Brown, who was recently released from jail on a probation violation, is slated to make an appearance at the 2014 BET Awards, off the strength of his current hit single "Loyal." Brown's ex-girlfriend, music model, Rihanna, is also scheduled to attend the show, that audiences have humorously dubbed the EBT Awards (a government benefits reference).

Rihanna continues to follow everything Brown does and constantly inquires after him in the industry, having not let go of the man she proclaimed the love of her life. She continues to ask people what Brown is up to, where he goes and with whom. Rihanna is looking for a way to reconcile with Brown again, despite protests from his audience, hers and the record and management company she is signed to, due to their 2009 domestic violence dispute.

Ironically, Chris Brown's girlfriend, Karrueche Tran will be hosting segments of the BET Awards show. Not to mention, Brown and Tran's friend, Teyana Taylor, who is a nemesis of Rihanna's is scheduled to attend. This could get awkward not to mention messy, as Rihanna has verbally attacked Tran and Taylor in the past in unprovoked acts based in jealousy and spite.

The BET Awards yesterday, had its good moments and a few bad ones. Some great gospel music was played. Songs by talented R&B singers was featured on the show as well. However, some of the songs by select rap artists and a few R&B stars, really should not be classified as music. Soulless songs with nothing behind them. Future generations will not get anything out of such music. Truthfully, I struggled to understand some of the words.

One rapper, who is often criticized for his music is Chief Keef - the 17-year-old felon whose rap sheet with the police is longer than his actual lyrical rap sheet. BET did not invite the rapper to the show, which led to him launching into a tirade on Instagram, filled with expletives. He threatened that if he had been at the awards he would have snatched chains and impregnated women.

Keef is making things harder for himself. He is making himself a target for the police and the Feds with his flamboyance and testing social boundaries. He needs to rein that in or mark my words, someone in the government is going to get him. Calm down. You are on their radar and when you hit 18, arrests will be in a whole new category.

Rihanna has been replaced in singer Chris Brown's life. Just months ago music model Rihanna accompanied Brown to the Grammys, the scene of their infamous fist fight. This past weekend, Brown replaced Rihanna with girlfriend Karrueche Tran at the BET Awards.

The two have been making appearances all over America, showing everyone they are indeed back together, despite Rihanna's efforts to derail their relationship. Rihanna continues to engage in social networking stunts in trying to make Brown jealous. However, one can't make someone jealous who doesn't seem to care.
