Officer Who Shot Surrendered Unarmed Miami Therapist Caring For Disabled Man Has A History Of Stereotyping Black People As Criminals And Villains

Jonathan Aledda has been named as the North Miami Beach Police Department officer who shot unarmed African-American behavioral therapist, Charles Kinsey, as he lay on the ground with his hands up in surrender. Minutes before the shooting occurred, Kinsey exited the group home he works in, walking behind 24-year-old mentally disabled patient, Arnaldo Rios, who had walked out of the facility.

Kinsey was following behind Rios for his own safety and to bring him back to the group home. Police became involved and it led to the shooting, after they allegedly received a 911 call from an anonymous person, stating a suicidal man had a gun and was going to shoot himself. So Aledda decided to shoot the allegedly suicidal man instead. Who in their right mind shoots a suicidal person that allegedly posed a danger to himself.

A neighbor stated to the press that she used her binoculars to detect Rios did not have a gun in his hand, but a toy. She informed a police woman on the scene of what she observed through her binoculars, but was told to back away. Shortly after, Kinsey was shot at three times, with one of the bullets hitting his leg. Rios was admitted to the hospital suffering significant emotional trauma, as the autistic man keeps reenacting the incident repeatedly stating "I hate the police!" and "shoot!" among other things, while terrified and traumatized.

Due to intense public backlash, the North Miami Beach Police Department is stating Aledda was trying to protect Kinsey by attempting to shoot Rios. However, the public is not buying it. Feedback comments on websites such as the Miami Herald, Miami New Times and news channels reveal, members of the public are questioning why Aledda handcuffed a bleeding and wounded Kinsey, as well as Rios, putting both in the back of his squad car after the shooting.

If Aledda was trying to protect the behavioral therapist, why cuff him while injured. There was a distance between Kinsey and Rios prior to the shooting. How did a member of the SWAT team, who specialize in sharp shooting, miss so terribly, hitting the man he claimed he was protecting.

Clearly, Aledda thought Kinsey was the bad guy, when neither the behavioral therapist or his client had done anything illegal in this matter. People in the disability field in Miami now fear for their mentally impaired patients lives and have been sending out alerts warning staff and the family members of the disabled to be very careful when out in public, especially around police.

Aledda has a history of questionable behavior. A complaint was filed against Aledda in 2013 for injuring a store owner. Aledda responded to a 911 call of a robbery in progress at a business in Miami. When Aledda arrived, he assumed the black store owner was the robber, threw him against a wall twice and injured his elbow. Aledda refused to listen to the store owner who was informing him that he was the one who called police for assistance due to the robbery. Aledda opted to rough up, injure and arrest the store owner anyway. Much like Aledda clearly refused to listen to Kinsey, shooting him while assuming he was the bad guy, when he was just trying to protect his mentally disabled patient, Rios. Arnaldo Rios was the intended target of the shooting, which occurred Monday after four North Miami police officers responded to a 911 call about a suicidal man with a gun.

Rios sat cross-legged. He yelled. He didn't obey commands to lie down with his hands up and he fidgeted with a metal object. Meanwhile his therapist Charles Kinsey tried to surrender by lying down on the ground and keeping his hands up. Police Scanner Reveals Black Man Philando Castile Was Racially Profiled And Killed By A Cop For Having A 'Wide Nose'

Just when you thought it couldn't get any more insulting it does and on a new level. News reports indicate the brutal shooting death of motorist, Philando Castile, with his girlfriend and 4-year-old child present in the car, was not for the reasons police initially claimed. Castile was summarily executed by police officer Jeronimo Yanez. The incident, along with the police killing of Alton Sterling, sparked protests in America and other parts of the world, due to it being the product of racism and police brutality. It also led to the shooting deaths of 5 police officers in a retaliatory killing by army reservist Micah Xavier Johnson.

Police initially stated Castile was driving with a broken taillight, which is why they claimed he was pulled over by police. However, the photos from the crime scene revealed otherwise, which many on social networking began publicly pointing out. Two days later, police acknowledged Castile was pulled over for having a "wide nose" which in their estimation looked like a black man who had held up a store.

This case is beyond insulting. The racial stereotypes, evidence tampering in trying to delete video footage of the killing from Facebook, lying, fraud, defamation of an innocent man and extreme lack of courtesy shown to Castile, who make no mistake, was racially profiled, is disgraceful. Yanez must be prosecuted within the scope of the law for costing an innocent man his life and for the disturbing cover-up that ensued. Any other police employee that aided in the cover up and evidence tampering should face criminal prosecution as well.

3 days ago - ST.PAUL - The uncle of Philando Castile told KARE 11 the police scanner audio we obtained is an example of racial profiling. A KARE 11 viewer, who gave us audio clips of police radio traffic, claims they captured the moments just before Philando Castile and his girlfriend were stopped by St. Anthony police – which ended with police fatally shooting Castile.

KARE 11 has attempted to confirm the authenticity of the recording with police officials, but so far they have not responded. We have verified that the license plate mentioned by police in the recording matches the plate of the car Castile was driving. The location the officer gives also corresponds to the locations of the traffic stop.

“I’m going to stop a car,” the officer says on the recording. “I’m going to check IDs. I have reason to pull it over.” “The two occupants just look like people that were involved in a robbery,” the officer says. “The driver looks more like one of our suspects, just ‘cause of the wide set nose,” the officer continues.

Diamond Reynolds said she and her deceased boyfriend did not match the descriptions on the audio clip. 25-year-old Army Reservist, Micah Xavier Johnson, shot and killed 5 police officers in Dallas, Texas last night. Johnson also injured 7 police officers and wounded 2 civilians. He has no criminal record. Johnson opened fire on police during a peaceful protest in downtown Dallas, as people gathered to voice their disapproval of the killings of African-Americans Alton Sterling and Philando Castile at the hands of police in two separate incidents of excessive force. A police bomb squad robot killed Johnson.

This was a senseless tragedy that is a waste of life all around, both the police officers and Johnson. There is a problem with police brutality against black people in America. Hundreds of African-Americans are killed every year by police. It is wrong and must stop. However, the answer is not killing police. Two wrongs don't make a right. You don't fight crime with crime. You enact meaningful legislation changing the law to promote safety for civilians and police. The Judiciary Report has repeatedly emphasized in articles that there are good cops doing their jobs, who don't deserve to be classed with the ones engaging in brutality against members of the public. The bad cops are the ones who need to be addressed and through Congress and the court system.

Off Duty Police Officer Finds Toddler Wandering The Street And Discovers Her Mother Had Died Unbeknownst To The Child

An unnamed, off duty police officer in England's Burton upon Trent, saw a toddler wandering the street. The officer, who was off duty and driving in his car with his wife, asked the toddler where she was going, to which the child replied, "I am going to nursery. I can't wake mummy up."

The police officer took the toddler back to her home and discovered her mother had passed away. The toddler's mother, 30-year-old Nicolla Rushton had died, under circumstances police are not treating as suspicious. It is heartbreaking nonetheless.

Nicolla Rushton, 30, from Shobnall, Burton upon Trent, was found dead in her home after the off-duty officer was led back to her home by the little girl. The off-duty officer, who has not been named, was driving with his wife when he spotted the toddler in Shobnall, Burton upon Trent, last Wednesday.

He approached her to ask her where she was going and she replied: “I am going to nursery. I can’t wake mummy up.” The girl then led him back to her home in Shobnall Road, where her mum, Nicolla Rushton, 30, was discovered dead. The heartbreaking details emerged today as it was revealed police were not treating the death of Ms Rushton as suspicious. Chief Inspector Steve Maskrey, from Staffordshire Police, has since praised his officer and said his actions showed police “are never off duty.”...

The Public Outraged At The Grand Jury Not Returning An Indictment In The Tamir Rice Murder

Yesterday, a grand jury in Cleveland, Ohio failed to return an indictment in the murder of 12-year-old, Tamir Rice. The young boy's killing occurred at the hands of police officer, Timothy Loehmann. This sparked outrage on social networking, as the public condemned the poor decision. The murder occurred when Loehmann and a fellow officer, Frank Garmback, were responding to an emergency dispatch call, regarding a person walking around with a gun the caller stated "might be fake." Ohio has an open carry law, meaning people are allowed to openly carry weapons in the state.

Rather than maintaining a safe distance, as police are trained to do, Loehmann and his fellow officer drove right up to the 12-year-old with the toy gun in his hand and within 2 seconds shot Rice in the chest. Shortly after, when Rice's 14-year-old sister, Tajai Rice, rushed to his aid as he lay bleeding, she was pushed to the ground, dragged away from the dying boy, placed in handcuffs and thrown in the back of a squad car, in what is completely inexcusable and reprehensible conduct, she stated lacked "respect" and was void of "decency." Tajai stated, "I did not do anything wrong."

Loehmann and his fellow officer also refused to provide any first aid to the dying child. He was allowed to bleed to death with no oxygen via CPR. What kind of animals and savages treat anyone, let alone, children that way. It is mental derangement. And the mere fact a previous police department forced out and fired Loehmann for being a mentally unstable, emotionally volatile person, says he should not have been working anywhere as a police officer. He has proven them correct.

You'd have to be crazy to think you did the world a service by murdering a 12-year-old boy, leaving him to bleed to death and manhandling his underage sister. It showed an absolute lack of humanity and no compassion whatsoever. You've disgraced the government and no cover-up via a poorly presented case to a grand jury is going to change the nation or world's opinion on this matter. How the local government presented such a poor case the grand jury failed to see the blatant violations of police protocol and civil rights violations is quite telling. They clearly wanted Loehmann to walk free for doing the unthinkable, otherwise they would have presented a better case.

Tell me, where at the police academy do they train police officers to drive straight up to a person, especially a minor, creating an unsafe distance, then within 2 seconds fire a bullet to the chest of a child you were clearly told probably had a fake gun. And don't state you did not know he was a child, bringing up his size 36 pants. One look at his pictures online and you can instantly tell he was an underage minor. If anyone treated a (future) child of Loehmann or Garmback as they did Tamir, they would be enraged and demand justice.

The message you have sent the nation and the world is black lives do not matter, even when it is that of a 12-year-old child. In similar situations, white people of various ages were safely brought in, even after waving guns at police and physically attacking. The minute Loehmann and his partner saw little black Tamir, they drove straight up to him, in violation of police protocol and shot him in the chest in the blink of an eye, as the phrase goes. Then refused to give him any aid, with the intent of him dying. Case closed. Once again it is clear, to some police in America, black lives don't matter, when all lives matter. The double standard is there. It is blaring. It is cruel. It is wicked. It is inhumane. It is un-American. And it is you - every time you kill an unarmed minority, with no thought to the preservation of life, in situations where murder can be avoided.

Metropolitan Police Cuts To Leave 8,000 Officers Unemployed (But Can Be Avoided)

The Metropolitan Police in London, England are facing budget cuts being issued by the government that could result in 8,000 officers being let go from their posts over the next 4-years. My suggestion would be to crackdown on convicted criminals who are refusing to relinquish the ill-gotten gains that came from their unlawful activity. The Evening Standard did an article on the subject this month revealing several hundred million British pounds sterling in funds have not been seized from criminals. That money could go a far way in keeping officers employed and the Met running.

Another suggestion would be to consolidate locations and have officers working more from their homes regarding certain tasks, rather than creating and submitting reports at precincts. This would save on costs associated with the financial management and upkeep of individual police stations (utility bills, building maintenance fees ect).

Police reports and updates could be transmitted via internet over secure, encrypted channels to a protected, dedicated server and assignments could be obtained in the same manner. Officers would be required to maintain a laptop or personal computer with up-to-date anti-virus, anti-malware and a firewall, issued by the Metropolitan Police.

Officers would only be required to come into a precinct in the event of an emergency or for special assignments. Police patrol the streets of London anyway. Therefore, not having precincts in as many areas would not have a tremendous impact and would save money and jobs. It would also streamline the police process, making it as efficient as possible.

President Barack Obama's Cousin Sues The Police For $600,000 For Farting On Her

Obama's Cousin Unable To Get Her Second Wind After Police Farted On Her

Marie Auma, a cousin of U.S. President, Barack Obama, has sued the Metropolitan Police in London, England for what she states in her lawsuit is, "21st century bullying." The bizarre case has the appearance of a frivolous lawsuit, as Auma has sued over two police officers farting at her desk in separate incidents. However, you can't sue someone for farting on or at you. It is unheard of and there is no legal precedent establishing a court victory on such a petty basis.

Auma also sued stating she was not given time off to visit her brother's grave in Kenya, after a 2007 car crash. The Judiciary Report sends its condolences on the passing of Auma's brother. However, once again, one cannot sue one's employer for not giving one time off (unless one had a medical emergency at work and needed immediate treatment at a hospital to save one's life, which employers do not refuse).

There are millions of people all over the world that want specific days off work and a large number of them do not receive it, but it is not grounds for a lawsuit. To state being farted on and not being given the day off you wanted became the reason you developed mental health problems ("a mental breakdown) is shoddy. There are underlying problems in your life that created the mental health crisis. No fart has the ability to create such a psychological impact.

The lawsuit does not indicate you were hit, assaulted, called derogatory names, stalked or terrorized. It appears as though the job was too much for Auma and she was better suited to employment elsewhere. In life you can't force others to like you or show you reverential treatment. If you are unhappy with your work environment, it is best to seek employment elsewhere in a post where you can be happy with relatively less stress in your job structure.

Police work is stressful in nature, as it involves dealing with crime. And let's face it, some horrible things can happen to people of all ages in this world that requires police intervention or investigation, with the goal of prosecutorial charges.

Side Bar: People fart all over the world. It's a normal bodily function. It happens. But people who fart in elevators, I have a question for you, why can't you hold it a few seconds until you get outside. Why fart up the place in an enclosed elevator with a limited amount of oxygen available and have people wanting to pass out from the noxious gasses (LOL). This is just my personal view, but I think people should be issued citations and fines for farting in elevators (I'm kidding).

US President Barack Obama’s cousin sues the Met for £400,000 ‘after bullies broke wind beside her desk’

Wednesday 23 September 2015 10:19 BST - A cousin of US President Barack Obama is demanding £400,000 from the Met police after claiming colleagues deliberately broke wind beside her desk to make her life a misery. It was part of a campaign of “21st century bullying” that Marie Auma was subjected to when she worked at Southwark police station, a court heard.

Miss Auma, 57, who was at Mr Obama’s Washington inauguration in 2009, claims she was “belittled and humiliated” as officers and other employees harassed her and two of them deliberately broke wind beside her desk. Miss Auma is related to Mr Obama through her aunt, Kezia Obama, who is the president’s stepmother and lives in Bracknell.

Central London county court was told that the bullying started when she was refused leave to visit her brother’s grave after he died in a car crash in Kenya in 2007 and ended in her being medically retired with mental health problems. Miss Auma, of Haringey, is suing for compensation but the Met denies liability. Her barrister Lorraine Mensah told Judge Simon Freeland that Miss Auma, whose job as a civilian worker involved liaising with crime victims, had been subjected to “21st century bullying” in a string of incidents between 2007 and 2009...

There was a “culture of over- zealous, oppressive managing” of Miss Auma, who had worked as a civilian initially in the Telephone Investigations Bureau. She had also been forced to take “inappropriate” breaks, making it next to impossible for her to meet her work targets, Mrs Mensah said...

Footage Released Of Tennis Star James Blake Being Wrongly Tackled And Body Slammed By New York Police Before Being Arrested For Crime He Did Not Commit (Video)

Video footage from security cameras has been released of retired tennis star, James Blake, being tackled and slammed to the ground by a plain clothes New York Police Department officer, in a case of what they are labeling mistaken identity. Blake was waiting outside an upscale New York hotel for a car to take him to the U.S. Open in Flushing Meadows, New York, when he was attacked by the NYPD officers shown on the video and five others in the undercover unit.

The New York Police Department has revealed a witness allegedly identified Blake as a perpetrator buying phones with a stolen credit card. However, they had the wrong man. While the actual suspect does bear a bit of a resemblance to Blake, many including the tennis star, want to know why such force was used in arresting him for a non-violent crime (and one he did not commit).

Blake could have hit his head on the concrete or damaged his spine when the officer charged at him, then slammed the tennis player on the ground. That was very dangerous. Blake escaped with bruises and scratches, but things could have turned out much worse. If he was the type of man to become easily enraged, like rapper Kanye West, he probably would have been killed for resisting arrest. There is no necessity for such force. This is how Eric Garner died in what became a global scandal the NYPD still has not recovered from.

Police do have a difficult job, where they put their lives on the line each time they go on duty. However, there needs to be a proper balance. Excessive force and police brutality has killed so many people, particularly minorities. Look what happened to Blake. It is a prime example of what black people in America have been complaining about for years. He did nothing wrong in the incident and was treated terribly, physically injured and could have been killed. There has to be a better way to go about confronting and questioning suspects. The officers knew they were wrong, as they tried to cover up the incident by violating police rules in not filing an incident report. It took Blake to go public with the offense for it to be addressed.

Tennis Player James Blake Tackled, Slammed To The Ground And Arrested By New York Police Department In A Case Of Mistaken Identity (Video)

The frequently sued New York Police Department (NYPD) is in the middle of another scandal, as 5 white officers tackled and body slammed Harvard educated, award winning former professional tennis player, James Blake, mistaking him for a man who had purchased a phone with a stolen credit card.

The 35-year-old tennis star was standing outside a swanky hotel in New York City, whilst waiting for a car he hired to take him to a Time Warner assignment at the U.S. Open in Flushing Meadows, New York. One of the five officers, who were dressed in plain clothes, lifted Blake in the air and slammed him on the concrete. They all swarmed and held him down, despite the fact he didn't resist arrest and kept asking what's going on. Blake was later released when a retired police officer recognized him and apprized the arresting officers of the tennis star's identity.

Blake stated to the press after the incident, "To me it's as simple as unnecessary police force, no matter what my race is. In my mind there's probably a race factor involved, but no matter what there's no reason for anybody to do that to anybody." Indeed, as many online are questioning why it required such spontaneous force to detain someone for the non-violent crime of credit card theft.

The New York Police Department issued a statement on the incident, "Once Blake was properly identified and found to have no connection to the investigation, he was released from police custody immediately. In regards to the alleged improper use of force, the Police Commissioner directed the internal affairs bureau to investigate."

Blake is demanding an apology. However, it would be surprising if one was issued by the NYPD, as that would be admitting liability and can be used against the New York Police Department in court during civil litigation for wrongful arrest and physical injury. The police officers in question did not even report the incident, in violation of department rules. It took Blake going public to bring attention to the issue. The officer that body slammed Blake has been stripped of his gun and badge, pending an internal affairs investigation.

The NYPD has a well documented history of racism in meting out rough treatment to blacks and Hispanics that white people do not face. Black pregnant women have been manhandled and tossed to the floor during improper arrests. Black men have been killed by the New York Police Department in acts of police brutality and excessive force.

It's been a rough year for Blake. Last summer an executive Blake rented his Florida home to set it on fire, after killing his wife, son. The man also killed himself. It was discovered the executive was having financial problems and sadly chose the wrong answer to his problems, via murder suicide.

28-year-old Sandra Bland was found dead in her jail cell in Texas, after an unnecessary traffic stop and arrest by police officer, Brian Encinia, who stated she failed to signal a lane change. Encinia was hostile with Bland, who is black, rudely demanding she get out of her vehicle. When she questioned why, Encinia became very belligerent and aggressive, choosing to arrest Bland. Three days later Bland was found dead in her jail cell from an apparent suicide via hanging. All over a minor traffic stop that led to an arrest that never should have happened. Some do not believe Bland killed herself, as there are discrepancies with her mug shot.

It has now been revealed that in 2014 State Trooper Encinia was cited for, “Unprofessional conduct.” The Chicago Tribune is reporting, “An evaluation that covered September and October 2014, his supervisor noted that Encinia ‘was given a written counseling for unprofessional conduct ... for an incident occurring while at a school in Austin.’…In the future, Trooper Encinia should conduct himself at all times in a manner that will reflect well upon himself, the Department, and the State of Texas. This supervisor will ensure that this is done by meeting periodically with Trooper Encinia."

Anyone who watches the Sandra Bland video with an unbiased view, will notice Encinia has an attitude problem and a chip on his shoulder, to fly off the handle that easily. Bland’s alleged conduct was a minor traffic offense, worthy of, at most, a ticket. It certainly did not warrant arrest. It was Encinia’s ego and petulance that led to this preventable tragedy that has the nation and the world once again questioning the heavy-handed tactics of police officers in their treatment of black people in America.

While all police officers are not engaging in abuses against black people, there have been so many incidents, it is certainly giving the nation and the world that impression. Once again, Congress needs to pass a federal law to address these issues, as human rights abuses are transpiring and bringing American police officers into domestic and global disrepute.

Trooper in Sandra Bland arrest was warned about 'unprofessional conduct' in 2014

The Texas trooper who arrested Sandra Bland after a confrontation that began with a traffic stop was once cautioned about "unprofessional conduct" in a 2014 incident while he was still a probationary trooper, according to documents released Friday. Bland, a 28-year-old Chicago-area woman, was found dead in her Waller County jail cell in Hempstead, about 200 miles south of Dallas, on July 13, three days after her arrest. Officials say used a plastic bag to hang herself, a finding her family has questioned. Bland's family and others also have criticized Trooper Brian Encinia, who stopped Bland for failing to signal a lane change.

The Texas Department of Public Safety released Encinia's personnel file in response to a Freedom of Information Act request from The Associated Press. Encinia had been with the department for a little over a year. For the most part, his file was unremarkable. He received "competent" ratings in all of the evaluations that were released. However, in an evaluation that covered September and October 2014, his supervisor noted that Encinia "was given a written counseling for unprofessional conduct ... for an incident occurring while at a school in Austin." The documents provided no additional details and a Department of Public Safety official did not return a phone call seeking comment Friday night.

The evaluation goes on to say, "In the future, Trooper Encinia should conduct himself at all times in a manner that will reflect well upon himself, the Department, and the State of Texas. This supervisor will ensure that this is done by meeting periodically with Trooper Encinia."…

Michael Slager Indicted For Shooting Unarmed Black Man Walter Scott 8 Times In The Back As He Ran Away

33-year-old South Carolina police officer, Michael Slager, has been indicted on murder charges, for shooting unarmed black man, Walter Scott, 50, as he ran away. Scott also planted evidence by the body in a frame up to make Scott look like the offender in the incident. Slager shot Scott from the back, firing off 8 bullets from his weapon, as the unarmed man fled on an alleged traffic violation (broken taillight).

The shooting death was secretly captured on film by a bystander, who was puzzled at the sight of Slager chasing Garner. Little did he know a murder was about to unfold. Slager, who has been incarcerated since the April 4th murder, was indicted on murder charges that could see him sentenced to life in prison if convicted by a jury.

Texas police officer, David Eric Casebolt, who was suspended for grabbing an unarmed 14-year-old black girl, flinging her to the ground, pulling her hair, placing his knee in her back and on her neck, then pushing her face into the grass, has resigned from his post. This comes in the wake of widespread domestic and international outrage over his abusive treatment of the minor.

Casebolt was responding to a call of overcrowding at a pool party in suburban McKinney, Texas. A white witness stated he targeted the black teens at the party and not the white kids, who were present. Casebolt also drew his gun at an underage black boy for trying to stop him from engaging in police brutality against the teenage girl.
