Movie Review: The Dark Knight Rises

Title: The Dark Knight Rises
Year Of Release: 2012
Review Date: February 28, 2013
Rating: R
Running time: 135 minutes
Box Office Gross: $1,081,041,287
Site Rating: 4 out of 10 stars

I did not like this film at all and largely due to the Colorado theatre massacre it inspired. "The Dark Knight Rises" is a dark, tedious film with a convoluted storyline. Bruce Wayne, also known as Batman, is again engaged in battle against those seeking to destroy him. This time around the villain is Bane, a masked madman determined to destroy Gotham City. This film dragged too much for my taste and is quite morbid.

Another Shooting In Aurora Alarms America

Another mass shooting has struck Aurora, Colorado, six months after the deadly death spree at a midnight showing of 2012's "Batman Dark Knight Rises." This time a gunman and three people inside a town home were gunned down in a hail of bullets by the assailant. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting and the killer's motive.

Another Person Dies In Connection With The Warner Bros Film Batman 'The Dark Knight Rises'

The Judiciary Report is starting to think the Batman film sequel "The Dark Knight Rises" is cursed. First a man opens fire in a Colorado movie theater, killing 12 and injuring 60 during a screening of the film, whilst dressed as the Joker from the comic book series.

Then another man was arrested for carrying a cache of weapons into a separate screening of the film. Across the border in Mexico, gunmen robbed a theater the film was being shown in. Now tragedy has struck again in connection with the film, as bullying claims another victim, via the suicide of 13-year-old American student, Cade Poulos.

Poulos went to school in the U.S. state of Oklahoma, dressed as the Batman villain Two Face and shot himself in front of horrified classmates at Stillwater Junior High School. It was Super Hero Day, where students came to school dressed in costumes. It was a terrible end to what could have been a promising life. This poor boy ended his life over bullying, which the Judiciary Report maintains should be criminalized. The site sends its condolences to Poulos' family.

Attack At The Empire State Building Signals Incidents Of Mass Murder Are Escalating In America Via A Troubling Trend Attached To The Economic Crisis

Police at the Empire State Building crime scene (Photo Credit: Getty)

Last week, Jeffrey Johnson, wearing a business suit, opened fire at the Empire State Building, killing his former boss, Steve Ercolino, for relieving him of his job. Police opened fire and it result in nine civilians being shot as well, as they killed Johnson.

Several weeks ago, gunman James Holmes, also facing unemployment and being kicked out of university, opened fire in a packed movie theatre, during a midnight showing of the film "Batman: The Dark Knight Rises." A few weeks ago, Wade Michael Page, a deranged gunman with poor job prospects, opened fire at a Sikh temple in Wisconsin killing several people. The Judiciary Report warned in 2010 such things would happen (Ben Bernake Didn'tSee The Financial Crisis Coming).

The terrible state of the U.S. economy, coupled with pro-gun laws, has made a terrible societal impact this year, as mass shootings have claimed the lives of innocent people. The collapse of the U.S. economy, its ongoing deterioration and the administration's inability to fix it, is having a widespread effect in many ways people never imagined would happen.

Congress To Sue Obama's Attorney General Eric Holder Over 'The Fast And Furious' Murders

Eric Holder and President Barack Obama

The U.S. Congress has announced it will sue Attorney General, Eric Holder, over the "Fast And Furious" scandal that cost several hundred people their lives. It was revealed Holder trafficked illegal weapons to the Mexican drug cartels and did not put tracking devices on them. The weapons were used in a number of murders, which included the killing of several hundred innocent Mexican civilians and two U.S. Border Patrol agents, who were doing their jobs.

Eric Holder

Holder is of the belief he should receive a free pass for what is mass murder, but at the end of the day, he is no better than Colorado killer, James Holmes, who is a deranged schizophrenic that killed 12 at a movie theatre in Colorado, during a showing of the Batman sequel "The Dark Knight Rises." Holder illegally supplied the weapons that killed far more.

It's not the only scandal he is involved in regarding mass murder. Another scandal is going to break regarding his misconduct in another government matter that led to the deaths of even more people over the past 4-years. President Obama should have fired, not defended Holder, as mass murder is inexcusable.

Man Tried To Attempt Copycat Murders At Batman 'The Dark Knight Rises' Cinema Showing

37-year-old Scott Smith was arrested in Cleveland, Ohio, after entering a movie theatre showing the violent film "The Dark Knight Rises" with a gun (9mm Glock), ammunition and four knives. An off duty police officer doing security at the cinema became suspicious when Smith brought a large bag into the venue and sat with his back to the wall at the very back of the cinema.

He was arrested shortly after and police discovered Smith was not licensed to carry a gun. A search of his home revealed more guns, ammunition, gas masks and bullet proof vests. This marks the third security alert that has occurred in America at a showing of the "Dark Knight Rises."

Previously, a fight and stampede broke out in one theatre and threats were exchanged, while in another incident, shots were fired outside the theatre. In Mexico, a masked gunman robbed two theatres showing "The Dark Knight Rises."

Will Hollywood Change Its Violent View On Moving Making In Light Of The Colorado Theater Murders

"The Dark Knight Rises"

Given the fact that 12 people lost their lives and 58 were injured, due to the senseless violence contained in the new Batman film "The Dark Knight Rises" when crazed fanatic James Holmes, tried to recreate scenes from their projects, will Hollywood change its stance on violence.

There's been no discernible effort to cut down on the violence in Hollywood films in the wake of the shootings. In fact, Hollywood is just waiting for the furor surrounding the scandal to die down, then its back to business as usual. Their production schedules have not changed.

Obama Billboard Comparing Him To Colorado Theater Kill James Holmes Provokes Anger

Barack Obama

An incendiary Billboard erected in Aurora, Colorado is comparing U.S. President Barack Obama, to James Holmes, the mentally deranged man that opened fire on a packed theater of moviegoers in their city, who had paid to see the latest Batman film, "The Dark Knight Rises."

The Billboard features side by side pictures of President Obama and Holmes and reads, "(Holmes) kills 12 in movie theater with assault rifle, everyone freaks out... (Obama) kills thousands with his foreign policy, wins Nobel peace prize." Obama supporters are enraged over the billboard. However, due to free speech laws in America, it is covered by the Constitution as lawful.

An Episode Of The Big Bang Theory Featured A Similar Movie Theater Plot To The Batman Dark Knight Rises Killings In Colorado

"The Dark Knight Rises" starring Christian Bale

As mentioned on the site previously, there are similarities between mass murderer, James Holmes, who killed 12 people and injured 58, during a midnight showing of the Batman sequel "The Dark Knight Rises" and the television character, Sheldon Cooper, from "The Big Bang Theory" (Similarities Between Batman 'The Dark Knight Rises' Cinema Killer James Holmes And Character Sheldon Cooper On 'The Big Bang Theory'). Both "The Dark Knight Rises" and "The Big Bang Theory" are also produced by Warner Bros.

However, last night I discovered, there was an older episode of "The Big Bang Theory" titled "21 Second Excitation" which took place before the Colorado shootings, which featured the television character Sheldon Cooper, waiting to see a science fiction film late at night, then becoming disgruntled and sneaking into the movie theater through a side door (emergency exit). A mob scene ensues with a stampede/riot, chasing after Cooper.

Scientist, James Holmes, who resembles television scientist "Sheldon Cooper" killed 12 people and injured 58 at a midnight screening of "The Dark Knight Rises"

As you now know, shooter Holmes went to the movie theater to see the science fiction film Batman "The Dark Knight Rises" then snuck out and back in through a side door (emergency exit) before murdering a dozen people in cold blood, including a six-year-old child. This too caused a stampede, as in the "Big Bang Theory" episode.

Mass Murderer Who Opened Fire During Batman 'The Dark Knight Rises' Sequel Screening Demands To Know How Movie Ends

"The Dark Knight Rises" starring Christian Bale

This is unbelievable. James Holmes, the mass murderer that shot 12 people to death and injured 58, during a screening of the Batman sequel "The Dark Knight Rises" is demanding to know how the movie ended. He asked an officer at the prison he is being kept in if the person knows how the film ends.

Mass murderer James Holmes wore a mask mimicking the character in the photo posted above, featured in "The Dark Knight Rises"

This is ironic. He’s got a lot of nerve. No one tell him how it ends. If he would have sat through the movie like a normal person and not shot the place up, he would know how the movie ended. Or tell him the joker, who he pretended to be during the theater killing, gets the death penalty at the end of the movie (I haven’t seen the film, I don’t know how it ends).

Mass murderer James Holmes and his public defender lawyer, Tamara Brady

How did his mind descend to this place that he is not asking about the 3-month-old baby he shot at point blank rage or the 6-year-old girl he shot to death - but is asking how the movie ends. It says a lot.

First Lawsuit Filed In The Batman ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Theater Shooting

A still from the "Dark Knight" with Christian Bale and Anne Hathaway

The first lawsuit stemming from the mass shooting in Aurora, Colorado, at a screening of Batman 'The Dark Knight Rises' has been filed. Yesterday, Torrence Brown, Jr., who attended the movie during the shooting spree and saw his friend A.J. Boik shot dead, has retained attorney, Donald Karpel, to file suit on his behalf.

TMZ states something the Judiciary Report wrote from day one, the violence factor in the film would lead to Warner Bros being sued, as the gunman, James Holmes, mimicked what he saw in the studios films and an accompanying Batman comic of the same name.

There's been an ongoing competition in Hollywood to outdo each other on whose works can be the most violent, graphic, sexual and or controversial. It has been a descent into madness and mental illness in Hollywood. The Judiciary Report has been warning Hollywood for nearly four years to tone down the graphic violence, among other things, in their films, as some members of the public would try to recreate it, but no one listened and now the worst has happened.

Victims Of 'The Dark Knight Rises' Theater Shooting Face Mass Murderer In Court For The First Time

James Holmes and his public defender attorney, Tamara Brady, who does not look pleased to have the case

Survivors and family members of deceased victims came face to face with mass murderer, James Holmes, in court for the first time, after his cruel and calculated murder spree at a July 21, 2012 screening of the Batman film sequel "The Dark Knight Rises."

What Holmes did was sadistic and horribly wrong. It has caused many innocent people a lot of pain. It is clear that Holmes has given himself over to evil. It is tragic that someone with the intelligence level he possesses, chose to devote his mind to such heinous acts.

However, with the mental illness component that has undoubtedly entered the picture, illustrating that Holmes is criminally insane, it is unquestionable that he poses a threat to society and should not see freedom again. As such, he was denied bail. He also confessed he booby trapped his apartment with explosive, which could have killed hundreds. His lawyer is fighting a losing battle.

Holmes is the definition of a "menace to society" as he ambushed and murdered innocent people watching a movie with family, friends and others who are close to them. He shot a baby a point blank range. He killed a beautiful six year-old girl, who had barely begun to live her life. He killed servicemen in a haze of bullets, who didn't die in live combat in the Middle East, but at a movie theatre of all places.

No one deserves to be ambushed like that, especially in a place that is made for entertainment and enjoyment. The survivors must be terrified of the thought of going to the movies again. I tried to picture what those poor people must have gone through and my mind cannot comprehend it. This world is in a mess that something like this happened.

Hollywood needs to do its part and stop putting sick ideas into people's heads, via music and films that simply go too far, via questionable content. But at the end of the day, Holmes is the one responsible for his actions and he must and I trust, will be held accountable.

Side Bar: In other related news, a fight broke out a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania showing of "The Dark Knight Rises" with threats issued that caused filmgoers to flee the theatre in a stampede ('The Dark Knight Rises' Audience Evacuates After Fight At Pennsylvania Theater').

Batman 'The Dark Knight Rises' Comes In With Lower Box Office Due To Mass Murder In Colorado Movie Theater

A still from the "Dark Knight" with Christian Bale and Anne Hathaway

After the mass shooting at a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado on July 21, 2012, which left 12 people dead and 58 injured, during a screening of the new Batman sequel "The Dark Knight Rises" box office receipts for the film have come in lower than expected.

Some initially thought "The Dark Knight Rises" would rival record holder "The Avengers" which is also a superhero film, with $206,000,000 in box office receipts during its opening week. Others pegged "The Dark Knight Rises" would come in with $170,000,000 in box office receipts.

Batman sequel "The Dark Knight Rises"

However, the film studio behind the movie, Warner Bros, released sales figures for the film, which indicate "The Dark Knight Rises" grossed $160,000,000 in its opening week, with half of the gross going to theater owners. As such, the film is in the red, regarding production and promotional costs. Forthcoming lawsuits, if litigated properly and hopefully before honest judges, shall push the very violent film even further into the red.

Guy Ritchie's Girlfriend Flaunting Her Baby Bump In Madonna's Frankenstein Face

Jacqui Ainsley and Guy Ritchie at the London premiere of Batman's "The Dark Knight Rises" by Warner Bros, a studio he works for as well.

It's no secret in the entertainment industry that Madonna, 54, did not want to divorce ex-husband, Guy Ritchie, 44 and did all sorts of things in trying to keep him. She pulled every stunt in the book trying to hang on to a man that did not want to marry her in the first place.

Jacqui Ainsley and Guy Ritchie

When he wouldn't abandon his then girlfriend, Tania Strecker, Madonna struggled to get pregnant and almost lost the baby. Strecker went on to marry into a billionaire family, the Rothchilds, while Ritchie was stuck with thieving Madonna.

Madonna and Guy Ritchie

Ritchie fled the marriage, which was Madonna's third and began living in sin with model Jacqui Ainsley. She is a woman Madonna despises, even more than Strecker, as Ritchie chose her, without being strong-armed or coerced into marriage, by a desperate pop tart, who deliberately trapped him via pregnancy and promises of untold wealth and fame as a director. Ritchie has since been sued for every film he has made, with serious allegations of theft and copyright infringement (just like Madonna).

There are people in the entertainment industry that believe Guy Ritchie deserves every bit of the divorce settlement, for having to have slept with that deranged looking, unattractive thing pictured above, known as Madonna

Of course, crazy Madonna has convinced herself that Ritchie loves and misses her, but it certainly doesn't look like it. Case in point, pictures of Ritchie and Madonna revealed him looking angry and miserable. However, whenever Madonna was away, Ritchie would go out in public with a big smile on his face. Very telling.

Madonna (LOL)

Meanwhile, Ritchie has been living in luxury with Ainsley, who is pregnant again and their son, born last year, using the money and property from his divorce settlement with Madonna. It's clear who got the short end of the stick and the first three letters in her name spell "mad" as in crazy.
