Chris Brown Releases Music Video With Girlfriend Karrueche Tran

R&B singer Chris Brown has released his latest video "Autumn Leaves" featuring long suffering girlfriend, Karrueche Tran. The clip was filmed last year in Hawaii, before the couple experienced problems, broke up and reunited. "Autumn Leaves" is a track reminiscent of the famous 1990s music quartet Jodeci.

"Autumn Leaves" discusses Brown's problems with his relationship, how he is viewed by society and makes reference to problems of violence. The singer is still struggling to complete the 1,000 hours of community service he was order to complete by Los Angeles Superior Court judge, James Brandlein. A hearing is scheduled for March 20, 2015 to determine if the singer will be sent back to jail. In 2014, Brown spent 4-months behind bars on a probation violation.

The VH-1 TV Movie "CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story" about the 1990s Atlanta musical trio signed to LaFace Records, didn't match the pre-release hype leading to its showing last night. However, the movie was sad. The trailer for the movie did it no favors, as it was cheesy. The movie was not as cheesy as the trailer, but the actresses did not do a good job with the dance moves.

VH-1 spent a lot of money recreating the group's music videos, public appearances and interviews. This aspect of the movie was authentic. I still maintain the casting for the film was not right, as most of the actors and actresses, save for Drew Sidora as Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, do not resemble the individuals they portray.

TLC's creator and former manager, Pebbles, threatened to sue if the movie defamed her, after group members Watkins and Rozanda "Chilli" Thomas took to the airwaves in a radio interview with  Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club. The radio interview was far worse than the film, regarding claims about Pebbles.

Irrespective of that, Pebbles was not portrayed in a positive light in the movie as the person who "ripped off" TLC. The fact of the matter is they had a standard contract with Pebbles, but LaFace and Arista took the lion's share of the profits. So much so, TLC even acknowledged in the movie that after they pushed Pebbles out of the picture they were still having financial troubles (coincidentally, Pebbles gained 10,000 new followers on Twitter after the movie aired).

Several items were left out of this film, such as who truly became rich off TLC. It was hilarious, but bad when TLC went to the Clive Davis' office, the CEO of Arista, with a group of female thugs in tow, demanding money (they tried to pull a Suge Knight but it backfired - Knight famously went to Eazy-E and separately Vanilla Ice with thugs and threatened to beat them to a pulp over royalties and releasing artists).

Davis called security, tried to calm them down, then cut the group an itty bitty check that left them disappointed. Arista made several hundred million dollars off TLC. The next in line for the most profits was LaFace (L.A. Reid and Babyface). Then Pebbles, whose cut pales in comparison to what the labels received.

This is where the TLC money went. Pebbles was right, she was the "fall guy" in this scandal, but she never should have went to LaFace with TLC and followed her original plan of going straight to MCA Records with the group, the label that released her CDs for years.

In the film Pebbles referred to Chilli as "loose" which looked out of place as they conveniently left out the background information on what she stated this. Chilli was accused of having sex with Pebbles' husband, which is how she got and remained in the group in the first place. They prettied that up for television. Chilli is also known for having sex with a number of industry men. That was conveniently left out of the film.

TLC

L.A. Reid was made out to be a levelheaded angel in this flick when he is know for getting into contentious arguments with people. He's also known for ripping off partner Babyface (which was left out of the movie) as well as TLC (also left out of the film) as he had a hand in the making of the movie.

My mom and I met one of L.A.'s relatives in Atlanta about 10-years ago while on vacation. His relative is a decent person of integrity, who is very nice. L.A.'s relative is the cousin of one of my longtime friends in Miami, who worked at EMI Records for years and she introduced us to her.

L.A.'s relative expressed her disappointment at the demise of his marriage to Pebbles stating, "He kept cheating on her with different women" (typical industry man). One of the women is Chilli, as later supported by a radio interview that aired in Atlanta several years ago.

In the movie L.A. even referred to Chilli as "the pretty one representing R&B" which drew a displeased look from his wife Pebbles. Chilli and L.A. need to drop the innocent act. It was a terrible betrayal. L.A. who remarried after divorcing Pebbles, still is not faithful in marriage or money matters.

 

TLC

Music producer Dallas Austin was also portrayed in a very negative light in the film, but he's always been known as a ladies man. In the 1990s, the guy had a list of chicks he wanted to have sex with and was going down the list. He's promiscuous just like Chilli. They are alike in that respect.

Why was Chilli surprised at Austin's conduct when she's the same way. If you're making a biopic, keep it real, even if it makes you look bad. However, only one was made out to be the hero and the other the sexual villain for the film. Austin took the brunt of it and Chilli was wrongly made out to be so innocent.

The late Left Eye was a member of the Hollywood "Illuminati" and like many of the members of the sect she died early in life. Left Eye espoused their unscientific, illogical astrological beliefs about what dates projects can be released or life events must occur, as it had to line up with the stars. This is all superstitious rubbish (as seen in the TLC movie during the scene featuring Left Eye crying in the bathroom).

She took the nickname Left Eye after the Eye of Horus, underlining and emphasizing it with a black line in tribute to the "Illuminati" cult. IN many photos she would cover one eye, another practice of the "Illuminati" cult. They also made her very crazy (hence being the "Crazy" in "CrazySexyCool") much like members of the cult now, such as Britney Spears, Amanda Bynes, Lindsay Lohan, Rihanna, Mischa Barton, Demi Lovato, among others (Hollywood Cult Before And After Photos).

The mere fact Left Eye burned down boyfriend Andre Rison's house is indicative of the mental illness she suffered from like other "Illuminati" members. In fact, Amanda Bynes was committed to a psych ward after she tried to set someone's driveway on fire. It's a trademark of schizophrenics.

TLC today

Left Eye's death was eerie as just weeks prior to her passing, she hit and killed a young boy in Honduras in a car accident. Years prior it was reported she caused the death of an infant in Atlanta, Georgia. Left eye jumped out of a moving car on a hill without putting the break on, leaving a mother and infant, who were passengers, to jump out of the vehicle, which killed the child.

The incident marked two tragic child deaths in car related incidents involving Left Eye. It's ironic that Left Eye's wild and erratic driving ended up causing her own death, when she swerved a SUV loaded with people off the road, hitting her head and dying from the injury while in Honduras.

Side Bar: this movie mentioned an Aisha spotting Dalvin from Jodeci cheating on Tionne Watkins. For the record, that had nothing to do with me. The only time I ever saw Tionne and Dalvin was in a mall in Miami. They looked me in the face and I didn't say a word. Other than that, I don't know either one of them.

R&B group Jodeci was booed off stage in London, England at Wembley Arena, during a 90s nostalgia concert featuring Dru Hill and SWV, among others, after their performance went awry. Group members K-Ci, JoJo and Mr. Dalvin, sans Devante Swing, had trouble getting their performance on track, due to sound issues. Concertgoers also reported the group looked inebriated.

Jodeci is a talented group had their start in the church, but the vices of the music industry enveloped them when they became famous in the 1990s leading to alcoholism, drug addiction, sex addiction, violence, arrests and discord. It's always sad when this happens, but regrettably too many people have fallen into the pitfalls of fame. It's happened so many times and artists need to learn from the mistakes of those that came before them.

Jodeci was one of my favorite groups during my preteen years. When I listen to some of the R&B music coming out today, it pales in comparison to what groups such as Jodeci, Boyz II Men, Guy and Shai did during their hay day. It is my hope the members of Jodeci will find sobriety and stick with it.

Jamaican rapper, Heavy D, really name, Dwight Arrington Myers, was laid to rest yesterday in New York, after passing away on November 8, 2011 at age 44 of pneumonia and respiratory failure. Heavy D was born in Mandeville, Jamaica and moved to Mount Vernon, New York as a youth with his family.

He made his debut in 1987 in the hip hop group Heavy D & The Boyz, as apart of the New Jack Swing musical movement, pioneered by producer Teddy Riley, who is the founding member of the R&B group Guy. His cousin Pete Rock of the rap group Pete Rock And CL Smooth ("reminisce") also served as producer for Heavy D.

He enjoyed a string of hits, the most successful being the remake of "Now That We Found Love" originally performed by Jamaican reggae band Third World. During his time signed to Uptown Records as an artist, where he later served as CEO, the first rapper having done so, he had a hand in discovering and developing the R&B acts Jodeci, Mary J. Blige and Soul For Real.

He also hired a then unknown Sean Combs as an intern at Uptown, who later re-branded himself Puff Daddy and P. Diddy, founding his own record label Bad Boy. Heavy D did a number of musical collaborations with other artists, such as B.B. King, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Jodeci, Al B. Sure and Aaron Hall of Guy.

Heavy D was name-checked by fellow Jamaican rapper the Notorious BIG on his debut single "Juicy" released on Sean Combs' Bad Boy Records. He performed at the Michael Jackson tribute concert last month. Heavy D also became an actor appearing on Broadway, television and in film. He is survived by his wife and daughter. His death is a reminder of the brevity of life and that anyone can go at anytime, so we must stay close to Jesus and treasure our loved ones.

Legal Fight Breaks Out Over Rebecca Black's Unoriginal "Friday"

A legal fight has erupted over the rights to the Rebecca Black song and video "Friday." Ark Music Factory, who wrote and produced the song, in exchange for $2,000 from the 13-year-old's parents, insist they own the rights to the project. Black's parents beg to differ. As a result, there is talk of potential legal action over a song and video netting $27,000 per week via YouTube and iTunes.

Considering, Rebecca Black and her parents did not write the song or video, they most likely do not own the rights to either product, as that is the standard in the entertainment industry. Unless they signed a contract with Ark Music Factory, specifically stipulating they own the song and video, they are out of gas, as the aforementioned company appears to be functioning as a record label and production company.

Coincidentally, in listening to "Friday" it dawned on me last week that the song sounds like Jodeci's raunchy 1993 track "Let's Go Through The Motions." The songs have similar synths, basslines, melodies, rhythm, raps, crowd chants of "yea" and the word "day" repeated in the chorus. Both videos also feature a lot of people partying in the backyard of a house, a singer in bed and a car scene. However, Jodeci did theirs almost two decades ago.

Side Bar: Is it really appropriate that a 13-year-old should be singing about partying on the weekend, rather than studying and fighting acne. The subject matter seems older than the artist.

P. Diddy Rapper Confesses To Murder

Former rapper, G-Depp, real name, Trevell Michael Coleman, who was apart of Sean "P. Diddy" Combs' Badboy record label, has confessed to the 1983 murder of a New York man named John Henkel. He later signed with Badboy Records, which has a history of attracting and cultivating violence and murder.

So much bad has come out of P Diddy's musical endeavors. He corrupted R&B group, Jodeci, who fell face first into addiction and violence. He exposed singer Usher to drug use and promiscuous sex at age 15.

Rapper Notorious B.I.G. died while on the Badboy label, fatally shot over a regrettable dispute with Suge Knight, who has not been brought to justice for commissioning the hit. Badboy rapper Shyne spent a decade in prison after a nightclub shooting in New York, which occurred with Combs present.

One of the acts Combs produced, Lil Kim, also fell in to drug use and bad company. She subsequently went to prison for 10-months. Former Badboy rapper, Black Rob, is said to be in very poor health, after years of wild partying. Former singer, Aubrey O'Day of Danity Kane, fell into hardcore drug use, posed for Playboy and has not regained her footing since.

Members of Badboy's hip hop group, DaBand, had more brushes with the law and disbanded, pardon the pun. The R&B group 112, broke up and complained Combs ripped them off, double charging them for items deducted from their already low royalties, which went in his pocket. Elephant Man got into a financial dispute with Combs, which nearly ended in violence.

The list goes on. There's clearly a problem at Badboy. The sex, drugs and rock n' roll is destroying them. It's time for Combs to change his ways, as his record label is a den of iniquity, which is wrong in the Lord's sight. Sooner or later, the vices gripping Badboy are going to consume him and his artists, with a terrible end result.

"K-Ci And JoJo Come Clean" - Part 2

The reality show "K-Ci and JoJo...Come Clean" concluded last week, with a one hour finale. As mentioned previously, it stars half of the R&B music group, Jodeci, namely brothers, Cedric Hailey (K-Ci) and Joel Hailey (JoJo).

The show got off to a rough start, as the two brothers were irritable, angry, slightly uncooperative and suffering from withdrawal. However, as the program progress, they showed improvement and the Judiciary Report hopes they will stay sober.

The latter part of the show featured a visit from Jodeci band member, Devante Swing, real name Donald Degratae, who the Judiciary Report had a crush on in the 1990s. K-Ci's demeanor changed somewhat when Swing appeared. Yes, he embraced him as a friend, but he also said something I knew to be true, Devante brings out the worst in him.

There's a reason KC-i said that. Swing is the son of a preacher, who did his best to show the industry he could be just as much of a rebel as anyone else in Hollywood, which is not a good idea. Yes, he continued to profess his faith, but his lifestyle has squarely been at odds with it. He became an alcoholic and drug and sex addict, hanging out with hardcore rappers. Much of his fortune has been spent, due to twenty years of wild living.

At the end of the day, God gave him a gift for music and he didn't need to prove anything to anyone. But being Donald Degrate never seemed like enough, so he adopted an alter ego with a stage name "Devante Swing."

Swing took K-Ci under his wing from day one, requesting he be in the group due to his soulful voice. The two became friends and Swing encouraged him in bad behavior as well, which resulted in legal trouble and addiction. The group was competing with each other to see who could be the most rebellious and it bred many problems. The Hailey brothers are on the road to recovery, but the Degrate brothers are not and it is sad, as they have potential as well.

Charlie Wilson

One of the most stunning parts of the program came when the duo visited Charlie Wilson of the music group the Gap Band, who is a recovering drug addict and alcoholic. His addictions had taken him so low, he became homeless. This was a man that sold millions of records, earning millions, but drugs and alcohol took just about every material possession from him.

However, he made a comeback, embraced sobriety (15-years sober) and was able to purchase a nice home in the hills. He won a Grammy as well. Wilson gave the brothers Hailey excellent advice, in telling them to take it one day at a time and to be real with themselves regarding their addictions.

Jodeci was one of the most popular R&B groups in the 1990s. The group was comprised of two sets of brothers - Devante Swing and Mr. Dalvin (Donald and Dalvin DeGrate) and siblings K-Ci and JoJo (Cedric and Joel Hailey). They were referred to as the badboys of R&B. Sean "P Diddy" Combs, who was an executive at Uptown Records in the 1990s, took four country boys from North Carolina and Virginia and turned them into party animals.

Uptown Records sent Jodeci to live in a very urban part of New York to roughen up their image, in a bid at turning them into rebellious young men. This left the members with drug, alcohol and sexual addictions. They also purchased guns, with two members getting into trouble with the law. The four innocent country boys from the Bible Belt, were now subject to their own vices.

The newly adopted badboy image they took on to sell records, stuck and began destroying them, as they began to act out, via destructive behavior, in trying to live up to a fabricated public persona. After a while, one can lose one's self in a role.

Jodeci now

After dysfunction set in, group member and producer, Devante Swing struggled to complete any music, which led to the group breaking up after three top selling albums. His most recent video was a surveillance one at a Subway restaurant, featuring the musician stumbling around, visibly inebriated and high.

The Brothers Hailey, continued recording as K-Ci and JoJo, but it wasn't long before their addictions damaged their careers as well. The two are now taking part in a rehabilitative reality show entitled "K-Ci and JoJo...Come Clean."

The irony of it all is Jodeci had talent and did not need gimmicks. The raunch, rebellion and lust did not make their music better. Case in point, the top selling song to come out of that outfit was K-Ci and JoJo's "All My Life" which is a clean tune that is often played at weddings.

The group started out in Gospel music, with God having given them a gift for music, but P. Diddy changed them, exposing the band to a destructive, licentious way of life, they have struggled with to this day. Here's hoping they get back on the straight and narrow.

Recently, the Judiciary Report wrote about the reality show "K-CI and JoJo Come Clean" featuring members of the defunct music group, Jodeci, being placed in a home based alcohol rehabilitation program. Well, it looks like another former Jodeci member, Devante Swing (Donald DeGrate Jr) could use the rehab program as well, as he was seen stumbling around drunk and high, in a California Subway restaurant. What would Jared say!

The police were called, Devante was detained, but released without charge hours later, when he sobered up. The former producer, known for a number of hits in the 1990s, developed an addiction to cocaine and alcohol, which swiftly brought his demise. It lead to erratic behavior, such as sexual assault and violence, which landed him in legal trouble.

Swing was famously held hostage in his New Jersey home by armed gunmen, who pistol whipped him and robbed the singer/producer of a fortune in jewelry and electronics. Drugs and alcohol took such a terrible toll on his life and mind, he was unable to focus on performing and producing music. Rehab is long overdue.

In watching the reality series "K-Ci And JoJo...Come Clean" one is once again reminded of the many perils of Hollywood. Former, Jodeci singers, Cedric Hailey and his brother, Joel Hailey, professionally known as K-Ci and JoJo, are struggling with alcohol addiction, which has damaged their careers. Due to passing out on stage, promoters no longer wish to risk hiring them, then having to refund audiences. Additionally, as the music industry has changed, since the duo had their last major hit, they are forced to learn the ropes all over again, in seeking a comeback.

The program features pastor, Jamal Bryant and his therapist sister, who convince the two to undergo a rehab and fitness plan. Never mind, JoJo keeps talking about Popeye's chicken and pork chops. However, when they are told they will be left alone in a nice house, the brothers become enraged, as they are concerned about being by themselves. Their conduct becomes somewhat disrespectful to the pastor, illustrating how addicted they are to alcohol. The program also has small throwbacks to their Jodeci days.

In other news, who told Sony’s Chris Brown he could rip-off the video for Jodeci’s number one hit single from 1993 entitled “Cry For You” for his new 2009 video “Crawl.”

I keep telling you guys all Chris Brown and others that subscribe to his pathetic, thieving way of thinking, such as Sony and Kabbalah, do is constantly steal, violating copyright law. They are the worst set of losers in entertainment history.

Coincidentally, Sony’s boyband, A-1, ripped off that same Jodeci video as well in 1999, six years after the original went to number one. All this theft is very arrogant and it looks crazy.
