Space Junk Nearly Hits Astronauts Forcing Them To Flee To Capsules
Space Junk Causing Military Concerns Of Confrontations
The official blog for singer, writer, director and human rights advocate Aisha and her affiliated web sites.

This is a follow up to the 2008 articles Space Pollution and Space Pollution - Part 2. Today, space debris nearly took out a group of astronauts, forcing them to see refuge in their space capsules. Talk about a "Maalox moment." Space exploration is a fantastic concept, but each nation involved in said ventures, must do its part to minimize and clean up space junk.

Barack Obama
President Barack Obama has been pushing America very hard and in the wrong way. He spoke of the nation's next "Sputnik Moment" and "Winning the Future" which is also derisively and obscenely known as "WTF" ("What the f**k" in internet jargon). However, it is not about genuine "change" but over competitiveness.
Putting that kind of pressure on any nation to perform and innovate will lead to trouble. The best innovations are born out of a sincere need or desire, not from President Obama's platform of outdoing the next man ("Sputnik Moment" refers to the time Russia launched "Sputnik 1" into space, becoming the first to enter said domain) .
The President's motives in this regard are wrong and his priorities are not in order. The kind of innovation the President wants is braggadocios and leads to greed, disaster and sometimes, illegal behavior.
The greatest achievements in history did not spring from looking at what one's neighbor is doing and covetously exclaiming "I must outdo them." People who have worked under that motto, have gone to prison for breaking the law, in trying to cut corners and take that which is not theirs, in achieving a goal built from the wrong motive.
The greatest human achievements came from men and women that were personally touched by happiness, tragedy, a loved one being sick or their own disabilities and invented an answer to the problem. Do not let greed, envy or covetousness be your incentive. Turn your happiness or pain into something progressive.

In the November 30, 2010 article "Space Pollution" the Judiciary Report warned of the ills of pollution and debris in space and the prospect of it worsening, due to commercial space travel. The article was derived from an unpublished item I wrote weeks earlier.
Two weeks later, on December 14, 2010, NASA announced, in conjunction with the U.S. Federal Government, via a new RAND report entitled "Confronting Space Debris" they wish to create a "super fund" to clean up space pollution.
Hey, knock yourselves out *cough* just don't look for any donations. As I see it, this isn't my mess, because that kite I released could not have gotten that far.

Once again proving national security is not what it should be, NASA sold computers to others, containing sensitive secrets. They have placed the U.S. Space Program at risk. The government can't complain when information is leaked to the public, when they fail to utilize proper security precautions to protect the nation's secrets.

The race for space tourism has opened opportunities, but created cosmic environmental issues as well. As companies have been granted licenses for space tourism, so increases the probability of pollution in the cosmos.
Individuals not only seek to set up colonies in space, creating pollution and disturbing the natural balance of the universe, some seek to engage in exploration that sounds environmentally risky. After witnessing the environmental abuse earth has taken at modern mankind's hand, it would be a disgrace if the same transpired in space. We've already messed up earth, do we really need to mess up space as well. Rules need to be drafted.

Space programs all over the world like to brag about their innovations, but what have they really accomplished. They brag about putting a man on the moon and photographing far away planets. Big woo! Why hasn't anyone put a man on the sun, tell me that? Kidding.

Title: Star Trek
Year Of Release: 2009
Review Date: August 31, 2010
Rating: PG-13
Running time: 127 minutes
Box Office Gross:
Site Rating: 5 out of 10 stars
Star Trek is the 2009 reboot of the long running science fiction franchise, which began as a television show, occasionally making leaps onto the big screen. This installment of the movie gave viewers the opportunity to see a young Captain Kirk and Spock. It did fairly well at the box office, becoming the highest grossing Star Trek film to date.
The special efx in this film were good and that caught audiences' attention. However, the script was average and the sensuality in it unnecessary, considering the wide demographic, which includes kids.
U.S. President Barack Obama (center)
U.S. President Barack Obama has overruled accomplished scientists and astronauts, including Neil Armstrong, in dictating what NASA's space agenda should be.
It is a known fact in intelligence circles that the FBI and NSA illegally spies on domestic and foreign scientists, obtaining unlawfully made advance copies of their work, using it to formulate and compile reports for the White House and select members of Congress, hoping to keep them ahead of the curve.
This, however, doesn't not make the President a scientist. Much like the budget breaking, dictatorial health care bill that passed last month, does not make you a doctor. Someone needs to come back down to earth, pardon the pun.

The West is concerned about Iran's latest venture - launching satellites into orbit. Space exploration is fine for any nation that wishes it, but with the Iranian government's track record, of stating it shall annihilate America and Israel, among others, some are concerned, as the satellites can be used to deliver deadly nuclear weapons from space.
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad stated their space program is peaceful, but people do not trust him, due to proclamations he has made in the past regarding obliterating the West.
Government calls Iran rocket launch "provocative act"
Wed Feb 3, 2010 1:40pm EST - WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Iran's launch of a rocket capable of carrying a satellite was a "provocative act," a White House spokesman said on Wednesday...
"A launch like that is obviously a provocative act," Burton told reporters. "But the president believes that it is not too late for Iran to do the right thing -- come to the table with the international community and live up to its international obligations."

U.S. President Barack Obama
U.S. President Barack Obama and NASA plan to undertake environmentally dangerous missions to the moon and Mars to "churn soil" for use in rocket fuel, among other things.
To disturb the environmental balance of the moon and Mars, in order to reap organic materials for miscellaneous use, is dangerous. You could throw the entire solar system out of whack in attempting to harvest said resources.
Where oh where did this idea come from. You could end life as we know it, via tampering with the solar system in an unsafe manner.
Obama Calls for End to NASA’s Moon Program
Published: February 1, 2010 - President Obama is calling on NASA to cancel the program that was to return humans to the Moon by 2020, and focus instead on radically new space technologies.
Mr. Obama’s 2010 budget proposal for NASA asks for $18 billion over five years for fueling spacecraft in orbit, new types of engines to accelerate spacecraft through space and robotic factories that could churn soil on the Moon — and eventually Mars — into rocket fuel.

Cocaine was found inside the hangar of the Kennedy Space Center, prompting an investigation, as to how the illegal substance got in there in the first place. Um, maybe a Kennedy left it in there. Their parties were pretty wild.

Seriously, what was Lindsay Lohan doing that close to the Space Shuttle. Was she trying to smuggle meth to Mars or something.

Russia, the first nation to launch into space, seeks to tackle a dangerous asteroid that is three times the size of a football field. They have been tracking its path and intend to launch preemptive measures to destroy it in space, as it has the potential to kill hundreds of thousands of people on Earth.
Russia Plans to Save Earth From Rogue Asteroid; ‘No Nuclear Explosions,’ Space Chief Promises
December 30, 2009 - Vlad Putin, we’re sorry we ever made fun of you. In an interview today with Voice of Russia radio, Russia’s space agency chief said discussions would begin soon over a plan to save the world from a collision with a massive asteroid.
It’s not clear how, exactly, the Russians plan to deflect Apophis, a chunk of rock the size of two and a half soccer fields that was first discovered by astronomers in 2004...
Astronomers initially guessed that Apophis had a reasonably good chance of smashing into Earth on its first flyby; NASA now reckons that the chances of that have gone from slim (one-in-45,000) to almost none (four-in-a million). But despite the lower NASA estimate, the Russians aren’t so sure. Perminov said the asteroid “will surely collide with the Earth in the 2030s.”...
And a lot of money. Perminov’s take? It’s worth the investment. ”People’s lives are at stake,” he said. “We should pay several hundred million dollars and build a system that would allow to prevent a collision, rather than sit and wait for it to happen and kill hundreds of thousands of people.”

The photo posted above shows an image of God's handiwork in space. It is majestic. Space is so amazing. The picture was taken by amateur photographer Martin Pugh.
