Is One Race Superior To Others

I do not believe God created any one race smarter or stronger than another. I am of the belief God created us all as equals. We are what we become through faith and our efforts. I have been privileged to witness amazing and inspiring feats in the areas of science, medicine, education, the arts and sports, from people of many races and nationalities. I have met brilliant people from many nations, who are of different races.

The one common denominator I've found in people who have accomplished truly amazing things is not their race or nationality, but the hard work they put into what they do and not giving up when setbacks or failures occur. That is the true mark of greatness - faith and perseverance in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds.

Watch For Warning Signs Your Kids And Siblings Are Suffering From Depression

Photo courtesy of Boston University's anti-suicide outreach

Recently, I was on the Instagram page of a celebrity. On his page was a cry for help from a young girl. On her page she he mentioned being sad, depressed and struggling with a lack of will to live. It's heartbreaking to read such despondency from people, especially teens, who don't realize they have so much to live for.

Parents and older siblings need to watch for the signs of depression and potential suicidal behavior in their relatives and intervene. Depression can lead to people doing irrational things moments of sadness when they lose all hope about life. A depressed perspective can cause people to lose sight of the fact life can and will get better. Suicide is not the answer. No matter what you may think, you are loved and things can get better.

Should You Do A Background Check On The Person You're Dating

Sometimes men and women rush into relationships and make big commitments, not truly knowing who the other is as a person. Many people have been devastated by terrible surprises about their significant other. While we all make mistakes, some more than others, it's only fair that each person should know who they are dating.

In light of this fact, is it wise to do a background check on the person you date. Many sites offer a full civil and criminal background check as well as a financial profile and history for a small fee. You need to know if you are dating someone who has made a few mistakes, but is getting there life on track or the detrimental opposite, an out and out con artist and hardened criminal who has not intention of changing for the better.

It Appears 'Real Housewives Of Atlanta' Star Apollo Nida Married Phaedra Parks For Love

Phaedra Parks, Apollo Nida and their children Ayden and Dylan

Many assumed that “Real Housewives Of Atlanta” star, Apollo Nida, 35, who is a former felon, married middle class lawyer, Phaedra Parks, 44, for money when he came out of jail after a 5-year stint behind bars. However, Nida was running a $3,000,000 identity theft fraud scam since the time of his release, indicating he fraudulently had millions of dollars at his disposal. This could indicate Nida actually married Parks for love. It appears Parks was not his suga mama, as was widely assumed.

Nida is said to be negotiating a deal with the feds and a settlement to reimburse victims of his identity theft crimes, in a desperate bid to avoid going back behind bars. It remains to be seen whether the government will permit Nida to avoid prison on such serious charges.

Floyd Mayweather Slams Women Who Are After His Money As Fiancée Shantel Jackson Unfollows Him On Twitter

Shantel Jackson and Floyd Mayweather

There's trouble on the Money Team. Championship boxer, Floyd Mayweather, posted an item on Instragram and Twitter, opining why marriages fail, stating the more time you spend with someone the more you see their flaws. Well, no one's perfect and neither are marriages. We all have flaws. However, if you love someone, you make it work via compromise, sacrifice and understanding. The site would be remiss if it did not note, cheating is the number one factor that creates damage in marriages.

Mayweather stated, "You might think you love someone until you see the way they act when they're out of money, under pressure or hungry." Mayweather was stabbed in the back by stripper Queen Princess Love, who used him for his money and fame, then betrayed him by sleeping with Money Team member rapper Ray J. It was also alleged she had his home she was staying in for free burglarized of over $100,000 in jewelry and cash.

Mayweeather's post on Twitter and Instagram

It was also discovered Mayweather's fiancée, Shantel Jackson, had her name legally changed to Shantel Mayweather and they aren't even married yet according to report (that's obsessive). The two are reportedly having problems again, as Jackson has unfollowed Mayweather on Twitter.

Mayweather is attracting the wrong type of women for a few reason. Number one, he flashes his cash too much, which also attracts male and female thieves, con artists, blackmailers, extortionists and ponzi schemers. For example, Mayweather posted a $40,000,000 check online, the purse for winning his fight against Canelo Alvarez. Additionally, Mayweather goes to the strip club with stacks of cash totaling $100,000 to toss at strippers (which is where he found Queen Princess Love). Doing these things, of course he's going to attract the money hungry women, who want to use him for all they can get.

Queen Princess Love

Sincere women with something going for themselves will find those ostentatious displays of wealth a deterrent and think a man doing this is just going to try to buy her. Sincere women want to be seen and treated as equals, not property to be bought.

I don't wish this on Mayweather, but if he ever goes broke due to his massive spending sprees (and it has happened to other athletes), none of these money hungry women fawning all over him will be there for him. They're there for the money and fame. All the public sees is Mayweather buying expensive gifts for his girlfriends and it is attracting women who want his money, not him.

Queen Princess Love with all the gifts Mayweather bought her, as she stabbed him in the back with Ray J

A woman who really loves you will be happy just being with you. That means you don't have to constantly take her shopping for designer clothes, jewelry and cars, dining at the finest restaurants, partying in the VIP section of clubs, flights to expensive locales. She'd be happy just curling up with you on the sofa and watching a DVD. When a woman is truly in love she'll be happy just being around you and can't get enough of you.

Yes, it's fun to go out and enjoy yourself with your significant other, but when you're spending all the money in the relationship, the other person is constantly making demands and you're basically buying them via giving gifts to keep them happy and treating you nicely, you're being used. The minute the money is gone they will be too.

More than 10,000 families want to adopt orphan Davion Only

Friday, October 25, 2013 5:29pm - He went to church that Sunday to plead for a family. Over the next two weeks his story spread across the world, popping up on websites, TV screens and front pages from here to India. The Florida teenager says he has found his purpose.

Marrying For Money

A good friend of mine married a millionaire years ago, because she thought he was stable and would be a good provider. She didn't marry him for his money per se, but his financial stability was the dealmaker. However, she really wasn’t in love. Now she’s miserable. He’s kind of getting the picture that she married him because he was a friend and good earner, but her heart wasn’t in it.

The man she was actually in love with didn’t have his act together at the time. He wasn’t bad or anything, just undecided about what he wanted to do with his life. Not long after he figured it out and is doing very well (he went to med school). Now she has regrets.

Women shouldn’t sacrifice love, as it is very important. You can’t beat the feeling you get when you’re in love. It's priceless. Your true love may very well be rich. Then again, he may not be. But you shouldn't judge a person based on how much or little they have in the bank.

Marriage is a serious commitment. It’s supposed to be for, "For richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health..." Money can disappear just as fast as it appears. To enter into a marriage because of it is not a good idea. At least love lasts.

The True Meaning Of Christmas

Some are happy this Christmas with the gifts they have received, while others are sad, as they did not get what they want. But remember those who received nothing at all. Furthermore, gifts are not what is important at Christmas. They are more the icing on the cake.

Christmas is a time to celebrate the birth of Christ and cherish those you love. Remember those who lost someone they love and are going through heartbreak and despair. Say a prayer for them. We all go through many changes in life. Some of them good others sad. Your ability to persevere and keep moving forward will make all the difference in the world.

Christianity And Race Relations

Christianity and race relations go hand in hand. God loves all races and as Christians we should have the same values. There is no room for racism in the faith. Christianity was built on the principles of love, hope and unity in Christ, regardless of color. When people focus on color, it is as a means to divide, when the love of God unites us in the faith.

Atheists Sue Over Cross At September 11th Memorial Site

Construction workers praying at World Trade Center site

Angry atheists have sued over a cross at the September 11th memorial site in New York. For centuries, the cross has been a symbol of hope, love and redemption for billions of people and it is unkind that anyone would seek to attack such a positive gesture at a site of suffering.

New York needs to start anew with healing from the wounds created by the terrorist atrocity that took place in their world famous city. What better way than an age old symbol of new beginnings, love and forgiveness. With so much negativity in the world, it is sad that a group of atheists would seek to turn their time, money and attention to this, rather than devoting those energies to charity.

9/11 Cross: Bloomberg Defends Religious Displays at WTC Museum

Sun, Jul. 31 2011 02:22 PM EDT - In his weekly radio address, Bloomberg responded to a lawsuit filed by a group of atheists seeking to remove the WTC cross display from a memorial commemorating those who died in the Sept. 11 attacks.

While the New York City mayor said the atheists had a "right to sue," he explained why the inclusion of religious symbols at the 9/11 museum should be allowed. "A lot of people looked to religion for strength after the attack," said Bloomberg, who is named as one of the defendants in the suit filed by American Atheists...

Waiting Until Marriage To Have Sex Despite Hollywood's Influence

A research study has shown, couples who wait until they marry to have sex, have better sex lives. They also have longer lasting and more meaningful marriages. Teens and adults are under pressure via examples being set by Hollywood to engage in promiscuous sex, tossing consequences aside, such as unplanned pregnancies, deadly STDs and emotional trauma.

However, Hollywood is a horrible barometer for morality, as it simply lacks ethics, with its denizens leading very troubled and tormented lives. Don't let anyone talk you into something that goes against what you believe. You stick to your faith and live your life with honor and dignity.

Charity Work

A picture of a Good Samaritan helping the wounded (Courtesy of The Hem Of His Garment website)

Charity work is one of the fundamentals of Christian life. Jesus gave of Himself and His time. Charity does not have to be on a grand scale. The smallest act of kindness towards another is a positive step in the right direction.

We live in such a troubled world, where there aren't many assurances, but the love of God is guaranteed. You can also give of yourself to help others and make our world better. Jesus stated in the Bible, when you give to others, even those society unkindly deems the least, it is as though you are giving to Him and you will be rewarded.

Marriage Is Not Overrated

A report released this month tried to claim marriage is overrated. However, many would beg to differ. It's more than just a piece of paper. It is a vow before God. Marriage was created by God and is sacred. The promiscuity of Hollywood, beamed into people's homes on a regular basis, attempts to warp the world's view on marriage, which is wrong. Marriage is still God's plan and is a great institution for a woman and a man, who love each other and are dedicated to honoring their vows. Once again, love is not overrated.

May December Romances

...And Why They Often Go Wrong

It's hard enough to keep a relationship together in our modern world. However, pop culture sends the world unethical messages about love and relationships, attempting to discredit the merits of fidelity, making it even more difficult.

May December romances often work better when the man is the older one in the relationship, as women usually mature faster, are more loyal and the more some men age, the wiser they become about love.

Young men are inappropriately taught by Hollywood films, television shows, music and websites, that they must sleep with as many women as possible, which is wrong and destructive. Women are objectified and youth is prized.

I've got news for Hollywood and those that follow their superficiality, everyone's aging, which should be apparent, but some act like they will never get old. At the end of the day, no matter a person's age, fidelity, honesty and decency should take center stage in a relationship. Anything less and you will damage yourself and others.

Robert Pattinson And Kristen Stewart In Love

Robert Pattinson And Kristen Stewart

The stars of the "Twilight" film, Robert Pattinson And Kristen Stewart, appear to be quite in love and have been attempting to hide it from the public.

The two are constantly photographed together and attempt to cover their faces, out of concern of being spotted together. The movie's financial backers are not sure how the ticket buying public will accept the idea of a relationship between the two.
