Initially, a few papers reported that late singer, Amy Winehouse, died of a drug overdose, as she was allegedly seen purchasing a variety of drugs the night before she died in London, England. However, a coroner ruled this week that Winehouse died of alcohol poisoning, as she was 5 times over the legal limit. In short, no illegal drugs were found in her system. Winehouse drank herself to death. What a tragic waste of life and great musical talent.

"Different Strokes" child stars Dana Plato, Gary Coleman and Todd Bridges
Gary Coleman, the actor behind the memorable "Different Strokes" character, "Arnold" has died at age 42, after suffering an intracranial brain hemorrhage.
The brain bleed was similar to that of actress Natasha Richardson, who hit her head and lapsed into a coma an hour later, then died. The same tragedy is thought to have befallen Coleman, who reportedly hit his head after a fall. He died yesterday at noon, after spending several hours in a coma.
Coleman is the second actor from the show "Different Strokes" to die at a relatively young age. His former co-star, Dana Plato, died of an accidental pharmaceutical drug overdose, after battling years of addiction. Two weeks ago, Plato's son, who also became a drug addict and alcohol, in the aftermath of his mother's death, regrettably committed suicide.

LaToya Jackson, the sister of the late pop singer, Michael Jackson, who died last month under suspicious circumstances, did an interview with Britain’s News of the World paper, on July 11, 2009, proclaiming Michael Jackson was murdered for his 50% interest in the Sony Music catalog. His half is said to be valued at least $1 billion dollars. Sony, with its plummeting sales, are desperate for cash.

However, I will give you this, Jackson's doctor Conrad Murray has a lot of explaining to do regarding why he administered CPR incorrectly and why it took them so long to call for an ambulance.
Were they trying to dress him and get his wig and make-up on, to hide his various issues, before taking him to the hospital. Because, this story is so bizarre at this point.
Not to mention, if you dial 911 and don't know where you are, they can trace it. In many cities, if you dial 911, don't say a word and hang up, the police will show up anyway, which is decent.
LAPD And DEA On Jackson Case
The Michael Jackson case exploded today with news the LAPD (Los Angeles Police Department) asked the federal DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) to join the investigation into his early death, his memorial will be held in the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California and ex-wife, Debbie Rowe, wants custody of her two children she gave to him.

She basically gave them away for millions of dollars and referred to them as "animals" she gave birth to for Jackson.
If Rowe regained custody, she stands to inherit $250,000,000 via Michael's will, in what he left for his children and any and all money that would come from pimping them out in book and television deals, on what life was like living with Michael Jackson.
While, I do agree children should be with their parents, as long as they are of sound mind, Rowe smells cash, I'm sure.

The family of recently deceased pop singer, Michael Jackson, requested a second autopsy. The first was inconclusive, requiring toxicology tests in a bid to make a definitive statement regarding cause of death.
However, as I stated from the beginning on the day he died and before the news broke, Jackson was abusing prescription medication and the next day the coroner confirmed prescription meds were found in his system.
Some prescription meds are muscle relaxers. Take too much and they will relax the person...and the heart into a sluggish state, then depress breathing until it stops.
But I have a question. When he collapsed, as was reported, why didn't they call 9/11 right away. Why work on him for 30-45 minutes, giving him CPR, not instructing someone to call 911 simultaneously. What good would that have done with a heart that had stopped beating.
I denounced this method of treatment a few years ago in the Sound Off Column regarding Princess Diana's death. Medical workers should work on emergency patients while rushing them to the hospital, it should not be one proceeded by the other.
Yesterday, I rhetorically wondered a few times, what kind of life the late pop singer Michael Jackson really had. What real quality of life did he have during his 50-years.
I would not have wanted to be him. I don't mean it derisively, but his fame was so out of control for decades, it turned into hero worship, though he was a flawed human being, just like everyone else.
Who could live up to such expectations, after all, as human beings, we are mere mortals, not God. As people, we are prone to error.
Throw a young, naive child into the cesspit that is Hollywood, heap success, failure, praise and criticism upon them and something bad is bound to happen. I keep wondering, did he feel it was worth it, because from where I'm standing, it doesn't appear to be.
Yes, Jackson had a talent for entertaining, but the nightmare it turned his life into at times, could not have been worth the pain. I often thought he would have been happier had he never been famous and was allowed to live in anonymity.
You can tell which pop stars prostitute themselves for press. They send out press releases with made up stories for publicity. They constantly email newspapers, websites and blogs, fabricated stories to keep their names in the press. They degrade and expose themselves for attention, in ways no self-respecting human being would.
At the click of every flash bulb, they're there showing you all their teeth, no matter what the weather or situation. For further reference see Madonna, Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Rihanna and Beyonce.
But Jackson was a recluse. At times he seemed overwhelmed and distraught by the attention that he simply fled.
Being accused of child molestation, which I do not believe he did, had to have made his little enclosed world that much stranger and smaller for him. The controversy grew so loud and terrible at times, you forgot he was a singer.
I didn't agree with certain things Michael did, but when he died this week, I felt sorry for him, because his life was plagued with so many problems, some of his own making and many others heaped on him.
No amount of chart success could compensate for enduring such heartache in one's life. It is sad that he, like many others, saw multiple prescription medications, as the way out of his troubles. The belief is it isn't hardcore drugs, as doctors and prescriptions are involved, but it is still addiction and abuse. I hope others will learn from this tragic story.
