Crazy Stalker Arrested For Targeting Fox News Host And Her Brother

Catherine Pavlich

33-year-old stalker, Charles Moreland, has been targeting Townhall.com journalist and Fox News commentator, Catherine “Katie” Pavlich, whom he is in love with, resulting in the FBI indicting him on criminal charges, such as cyberstalking. Previously, Morelanad was jailed for cyberstalking and making threats against U.S. congressional senator, Harry Reid.

Moreland, sent Palvich a barrage of unwanted and threatening emails at the online address posted on her website articles. Such email addresses are meant for public feedback, which includes compliments, constructive criticism or requests regarding what people would like to see on a website. Said email addresses are not meant for threats and abuse. Writers don't mind emails that criticize their writing and written opinions. You can even tell a writer via email that their work stinks or is biased. However, when it crosses the line into threats, that's when it becomes illegal.

Moreland used fake names and various email addresses to submit a multitude of harassing, threatening and abusive items to Palvich, in conduct psychologists attribute to stalkers. Moreland took his conduct even further in sending threatening and crazy items to Palvich's brother on social networking. Papers in psychiatric journals by psychologists do state, stalkers often target the family members, spouses and or love interests of their victims. It is a crazy means of indirect contact with a victim they are stalking and getting no response from, leading to greater restlessness. However, it is unwise to respond to a stalker.

Harry Reid

Moreland became so obsessed with Palvich, everything she or her brother posted online, he crazily misinterpreted it as something directed to and written about him. Moreland made statements that reveal he is in love with pretty Palvich and wanted to marry her. Many people have crushes on public figures, post comments to that effect on social networking and even send fan email. That's no crime. However, once again, Moreland veered into completely illegal territory in sending threatening items via email, where Palvich and her brother began to reasonably fear for their safety.

Moreland was jailed and given court orders not to use a computer, laptop, tablet or any other device to cyberstalk and harass people. However, the minute he got out of jail in the Reid case, he began targeting Palvich to greater degrees, sending more and more threatening emails. This case further alarmingly proves many stalkers cannot be rehabilitated. It is a serious mental disorder that not even shock therapy can fix.

Stalkers are not harmless. Many of them engage in criminal violence against innocent people. Their minds are gone, believing they own and or are in a romantic relationship with their victim, who wants nothing to do with them. The justice system needs to take a hard line with stalkers. Too many of them have killed innocent people. Stalkers belong behind bars indefinitely or in a mental institution to protect the public.

FBI Probing Stalking Of Fox Commentator

Suspect was convicted for death threats against Sen. Harry Reid

MAY 19--The Oklahoma man convicted of threatening to kill U.S. Senator Harry Reid is now the target of an FBI investigation into his alleged online stalking of a prominent conservative journalist and frequent Fox News Channel contributor, court records show. According to an FBI affidavit, Charles Moreland, 33, has spent most of the last year harassing Catherine “Katie” Pavlich, a Townhall.com editor. Pavlich, 27, has received more than 250 e-mails from Moreland, a barrage that left the journalist “in reasonable fear of death or serious bodily injury,” federal agents allege.

Moreland, a Tulsa resident, pleaded guilty in January 2015 to sending Reid messages stating that the politician was a “dead man.” One e-mail warned Reid that if he did not resign his Senate seat he and his family members would “face stern, harsh, unimaginable consequences.” In another message, Moreland wrote that if the Democratic power “opens his mouth again, we will take action against him and his family immediately.”

In a misdemeanor plea deal, Moreland was sentenced to a month in jail and five months of home detention. He was also placed on probation for a year. Beginning last May, investigators charge, Moreland inundated Pavlich with creepy and menacing e-mails. While claiming in one e-mail, “I am not going to harm anyone,” Moreland stated in a later communication, “If I come to DC you will ignore me and say you have no idea who I am.”

Upon receiving some of Moreland’s initial e-mails, Pavlich told a colleague that, “I think this guy…is a serious harm to himself and possibly a legitimate stalker of me.” Pavlich, identified as “CP” in the FBI affidavit, did not respond to TSG e-mails seeking comment about the federal probe.

In other e-mails, Moreland appeared infatuated with Pavlich, asking, “When are you going to seduce me?” and “Does that mean you are going to kill me if I don’t marry you?” When Pavlich solicited reader questions in advance of an interview with Carly Fiorina, Moreland wrote, “Ask her if she thinks I should marry you.”

Moreland, the FBI affidavit notes, even monitored an Instagram account maintained by Pavlich’s brother. When Pavlich’s sibling uploaded video of himself shooting at a Tulsa gun range, Moreland interpreted the clip as a direct threat. “I have no interest in harming you or anyone you care about. I honestly do not,” Moreland wrote to Pavlich in a September 2015 e-mail. “However, if you have interest in harming me, please make sure you follow through on the implied.”

Moreland’s e-mails to Pavlich stopped after he was arrested in November for violating terms of his probation. He was cited for failing to disclose his use of a tablet and laptop that were capable of accessing the Internet. Additionally, court records show, Moreland sent “threatening” e-mails to the White House, Hillary Clinton, and other public officials. The Clinton e-mail, forwarded to the Secret Service by the campaign’s correspondence director, prompted agents to confront Moreland about his unhinged communications...

Antonin Scalia Slammed By Members Of Congress As A Racist Who Should Be Removed From The Supreme Court

Cover of the New York Post slamming silly Scalia

U.S. senator, Harry Reid, has slammed Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia as a racist, after the prejudice, ignorant judge stated black people are slower than whites. Reid stated, "These ideas that he pronounced yesterday are racist in application, if not intent,” Reid said. “I don’t know about his intent, but it is deeply disturbing to hear a Supreme Court justice endorse racist ideas from the bench on the nation’s highest court. The idea that African American students are somehow inherently intellectually inferior [to] other students is despicable. It’s a throwback to a time that America left behind a half a century ago. … That Justice Scalia could raise such an uninformed idea shows just how out of touch he is with the values of this nation."

Scientists have slammed Scalia's comments as wrong and highly inaccurate, "We share the outrage and dismay already expressed by many other groups and individual scientists over the comments of Justice Scalia...Affirmative action programs that aim to bring the number of minority students to more proportional levels are an important ingredient in our ongoing work...Affirmative action is just one part of a larger set of actions needed to achieve social justice within our STEM and education fields. We embrace the assumption that minority students are brilliant and ask, ‘Why does physics education routinely fail brilliant minority students?"

Antonin Scalia has brought an enormous amount of shame on the Supreme Court with his racist comments

As stated in the column last week, each person has a right to their opinion. If you want to be racist, that’s your sin. However, when you have a job that requires impartiality to all and you are rendering corrupt decisions based on your racist, ugly views against black people (and other minorities), you should be removed from said post.

Scalia’s prejudices are clearly interfering with his ability to judge fairly and correctly. Last week’s comments on black people proved this fact. Scalia disgraced the entire Supreme Court to the nation and watching world, as his name began to trend on Twitter, read by billions around the globe, for racist, disgusting remarks he made about black people. Tens of thousands of comments appeared on Twitter slamming Scalia's awful statements.

The late, great Martin Luther King Jr.

The Judiciary Report sticks with its original prediction made two months ago in the October 21,2015 article "Drudge Report Writer Matt Drudge Threatened By Supreme Court Justice Seeking To Shut His Site Down" which stated:

"Regarding the Supreme Court, they keep rendering decisions poll show the American people overwhelmingly do not approve of and here's where that's going. Less and less people will petition the Supreme Court and it is on the road to becoming an antiquated, outdated, unpopular model very few people will use in the future. So, continue with the corruption (sarcasm) and see where it is going to take you. This so-called power you think you wield and keep abusing will be gone. State Courts will become more popular, where judges can be voted out at regular intervals, when found to be corrupt. Mediation services will also rise in popularity, as people find alternate ways of resolving legal disputes. You are wrecking America and damaging the world with this corruption and the American people and the world will never forget it or forgive it when all is said and done. You've gone too far."

Harry Reid rips Antonin Scalia, says he endorsed ‘racist ideas’ from bench

December 10 at 10:04 AM - The day after Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia suggested that black college students might be better off at a "slower-track school," Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) blasted him on the Senate floor. (C-SPAN). Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia’s suggestion, during an oral argument Wednesday, that black college students might be better off at a “slower-track school” where they “do not feel that they’re being pushed ahead in classes that are too fast for them” has sparked a national uproar.

That roar extended from Supreme Court chambers across First Street NE on Thursday morning, where Senate Minority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.) used his morning floor remarks to lambaste the Republican-appointed Scalia. “These ideas that he pronounced yesterday are racist in application, if not intent,” Reid said. “I don’t know about his intent, but it is deeply disturbing to hear a Supreme Court justice endorse racist ideas from the bench on the nation’s highest court.”...

Field Negro: Those Negroes are just not that smart

Dec 10, 2015 - I am tired of writing about Donald Trump. Tonight I want to focus on another powerful racist in America. His name is Antonin Scalia, and he makes decisions that have more of an impact on your life than even the president of the United States.

“In the oral arguments Wednesday for a Supreme Court affirmative action case, Justice Antonin Scalia—a well known critic of affirmative action—suggested that the policy was hurting minority students by sending them to schools too academically challenging for them.

Referencing an unidentified amicus brief, Scalia said that there were people who would contend that “it does not benefit African-Americans to — to get them into the University of Texas where they do not do well, as opposed to having them go to a less-advanced school, a less — a slower-track school where they do well.” He argued that “most of the Black scientists in this country don’t come from schools like the University of Texas.” “They come from lesser schools where they do not feel that they’re — that they’re being pushed ahead in — in classes that are too — too fast for them,” Scalia said.”

This is truly scary. And it is just wrong on so many levels. I could talk about the countless amount of African American youngsters who I am personally familiar with who are destroying their White classmates at Ivy League and other fine schools in this country. (My little cousin, bless her heart, graduated with high honors from Swarthmore not too long ago with a degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology or something like that.) But what would be the point of this? The racist and unintelligent among us, like Antonin Scalia, would never believe it.

Mr. Scalia is not alone. In the state of Michigan a republican lawmaker made his feelings known about the cognitive abilities of Blacks as well. “As a first-term state senator, Marty Knollenberg of Troy is far from high-profile. He’s not in Congress, though he is the son of a man who served eight terms in the U.S. House.

Sen. Knollenberg, a 52-year-old Allstate agent, is suddenly less obscure — though not in a good way. The Republican is the subject of articles at two national news sites — Huffington Post and Raw Story. He’s also the target of criticism and ridicule on social media, including comments at his legislative Facebook page.

The outcry is provoked by widespread posting of videotaped remarks at a Senate education hearing, where the Oakland County politician said: “You mentioned these school districts failing, and you mention economically disadvantaged and nonwhite population are the contributors to that. I know we can’t fix that. We can’t make an African-American white. That’s just, it is what it is.” "It is what it is” indeed. The Donald might just become our next president after all. He is, after all, “the anger translator” for all the secret (and not so secret) racists in America.

Black Leaders Call For Justice Scalia To Recuse Himself From Controversial Affirmative Action Case

Posted 5 days ago - Chief Justice Antonin Scalia‘s comments that African American students should attend “slower-track” schools won’t go away quietly. Colleigates responded with #StayMadAbby, a social media ode to Black excellence, now prominent African American lawmakers are weighing in.

One of the most renown figures of the Civil Rights movement, Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.) released a statement saying, “[Scalia’s] suggestion that African Americans would fare better at schools that are ‘less advanced’ or on a ‘slow-track’ reminds me of the kind of prejudice that led to separate and unequal school systems — a policy the Supreme Court declared unconstitutional decades ago.”

Congressional Black Caucus Chair Rep. G.K. Butterfield (D-N.C.) believes Scalia’s comments are clear evidence that he can not provide an unbiased decision on the case, which are is for his recusal.

His statements are “disgusting, inaccurate, and insulting to African Americans” said Butterfield. Lewis also agreed that Scalia’s “evident bias is very troubling” and calls into question “his ability to make impartial judgments in this case.”

According to The Huffington Post, in order for a Supreme Court justice to be removed from the bench, he or she must be impeached by the House and convicted by the Senate — a move that has never happened in U.S. history. Recusal, however, is solely up to the justice. The U.S. Code (Title 28, Section 455) states a judge should recuse him or herself from a case whenever there is conflict of interest, including a biased opinion or the involvement of a family member. We hope more politicians continue to speak out and hold Scalia accountable for his dishonorable comments.

Scientists Combat Scalia's Recent Arguments Against Affirmative Action

12/12/15 6:45pm - Recently Supreme Court Justice and noted delightful human Antonin Scalia claimed that affirmative action prevents African Americans from becoming scientists. As it happens, actual science-practicing scientists disagree, and have composed an open letter to SCOTUS saying as much.

According to Mic, Scalia voiced this argument in regards to the Supreme Court case Fischer vs. University of Texas, which examines the school’s affirmative action policy. More generally, he contended that “it does not benefit African Americans to — to get into the University of Texas where they do not do well, as opposed to having them go to a less-advanced, a less, a slower track school where they do well.”

Drawing on this amici brief, Scalia directs his argument at the sciences and the opportunities for African Americans therein. The United States, the brief posits, “now has fewer African-American physicians, scientists, and engineers than it would have had using race-neutral [admissions] methods. It probably has fewer college professors and lawyers too.” “Race-neutral.” That’s a cute and viable concept.

Meanwhile, a group of physicists and astrophysicists are speaking out against Scalia’s racist remarks with an open letter addressing the importance of diversity in STEM fields: “We share the outrage and dismay already expressed by many other groups and individual scientists over the comments of Justice Scalia...Affirmative action programs that aim to bring the number of minority students to more proportional levels are an important ingredient in our ongoing work...Affirmative action is just one part of a larger set of actions needed to achieve social justice within our STEM and education fields.”

The scientists moreover interpret the lack of diversity in science as a failure of the discipline — not the student: “We embrace the assumption that minority students are brilliant and ask, ‘Why does physics education routinely fail brilliant minority students?’” The letter has currently collected over 660 signatures and will ostensibly be sent to SCOTUS after circulation.

Nancy Pelosi Poll Numbers Hit An All Time Low

Nancy Pelosi

The poll numbers of U.S. House Speaker and Democrat, Nancy Pelosi, have hit record lows. The Tea Party have gone after her and fellow Democrat, Harry Reid, vowing to bring them down at the polls.

President Barack Obama and fellow Democrat, Senator Harry Reid

However, Reid may be ahead of the game and corruptly so, as voters in his Nevada district are complaining, when they went to vote, the electronic ballot was already marked with his name, though they sought to vote for his rival. Sounds like Hacking Democracy all over again.

Are Democrats Benefiting Or Hurting From Obama Association

President Barack Obama and fellow Democrat, Senator Harry Reid

Will U.S. Democrats benefit from association with President Obama on election day, which is right around the corner, on November 2, 2010. Some think so, while others don't, as they are concerned about losing at the polls.

Obama: "what'cu talking 'bout Willis"

Obama has become a symbol of spending in America, which is not being embraced by the majority of Americans. Some are upset at the unprecedented level of national debt, which they owe apart of as citizens that is contrasted by the very poor economy. This means the debt has not been productive and have many wondering if it was in vain.

Desperate Dems vs. Regenerated Republicans

Barack Obama (right)

The U.S. Democrat Party are resorting to desperate pleas to the American people, in bids at holding on to their majority in Congress. However, national anger at the state of the nation, led by Democrats, has reenergized and regenerated Republicans, who hope to capitalize on the country's discontent.

Democrat senators, Harry Reid (left) and Nancy Pelosi (right)

To be fair, it was a Republican, George W. Bush, that created this mess. However, Obama, with the support of a Democrat dominated Congress, spent America into catastrophe in less than two years. He has added trillions to the deficit and promoted economically unsound financial policies he refuses to abandon.

Harry Reid Lives At The Ritz…Just Like The Salahis

U.S. politician and Democrat, Harry Reid, has been slammed in a new political ad, which paints him as a lover of luxury, who is out of touch with the populace. Reid, much like luxury loving White House gatecrashers, Michaele and Tareq Salahis, live at Washington, DC's opulent Ritz Carlton hotel.

Rooms begin at $400 per night and gives guests the opportunity to live in one of the country's most posh hotels, located in the nation's capital. The Ritz has concierge service, fine dining and many other luxury amenities.

Reid has portrayed himself in the press, as a man who can relate and is sympathetic to the suffering of Americans, during the current financial depression. However, the aforementioned advert successfully cast him as the exact opposite.

Members of the U.S. Republican Party, have apologized to President, Barack Obama, over a viral campaign titled "evil empire," equating him to the character The Joker, from the Batman films.

Republicans embarrassed by 'evil empire' Obama smear

The Republican party's national organising committee was furiously backpedalling after an embarrassing document lampooning Barack Obama and other Democratic leaders as 'evil' was found in a hotel room.

Clinton: Obama Should Be Getting Us Coffee

A new book entitled "Game Change" is set to expose racism within the U.S. Democratic Party. Thus far, excerpts from the book have greatly damaged the names of Senator, Harry Reid and former President, Bill Clinton.

Usually, one would have to give this sort of lecture to a few Republicans in Congress. But between Harry Reid's "light skinned and doesn't use Negro dialect" comment about U.S. President, Barack Obama and now the revelation former President, Bill Clinton stated of said incumbent, "A few years ago, this guy would have been getting us coffee" it's abundantly clear, there are white Democrats who are going through some sort of race crisis that has no place in the world.

U.S. President Barack Obama

It's pretty messed up that Bill Clinton believed a black lawyer with a Harvard degree should be getting him coffee. Both Reid and Clinton have damaged race relations. But anyone who believed there isn't racism in Congress is naive or just doesn't know better.

A number of prominent black scholars, politicians and civic leaders, have denounced the aforementioned racially tinged statements by the two well-known Democrats.

'Game Change': New Book Reveals 2008 Campaigns' Messy Moments

Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, called on Reid, the Senate majority leader from Nevada, to step down, issuing a statement saying: "In 2002, Democrats expressed outrage at Sen. [Trent] Lott and called on him to step down as leader. That same standard should be applied to Sen. Reid and his embarrassing and racially insensitive statements."...

Former president Bill Clinton received flak from his comment that Obama's campaign was "the biggest fairy tale I've ever seen." But he made an even more dismissive comment about Obama in private with the late Sen. Ted Kennedy, according to the book. "A few years ago, this guy would have been getting us coffee," Clinton reportedly said.

Harry Reid Called Obama A Light-Skinned Negro

Doesn't He Mean "Light-Skinneded"

President Obama (center) Senator Harry Reid (right)

Didn't I warn white people not to use the word "Negro." It's like black people joking about white people loving NASCAR - you just don't do it (kidding).

U.S. President Barack Obama: he said what!

Either, Senator Harry Reid (Democrat) just watched an episode of "The Jeffersons" or he had a drink or two, as he referred to President Barack Obama as "light-skinned" and said he is pleased he does not use "Negro dialect." Maybe he's been listening to the Rush Limbaugh show.

Reid has since apologized. Obama accepted his apology. Hey, at least he didn't use the word "Ni*ger."...like FBI Director Robert S. Mueller.

Obama accepts 'negro' quote apology

Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid has apologised to Barack Obama for pre-election comments describing the president as a "light skinned" African-American "with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one".

Mr Reid made the comments in private during the long 2008 campaign when discussing why Mr Obama should seek, and could win, the presidency.

Mr Obama quickly accepted the apology, saying: "As far as I am concerned, the book is closed." ...

Public Option Given The Boot

"Video: Source: Dems Drop Gov't-run Health Care Plan"

The "Public Option" portion of U.S. President Obama's health care bill, has been reportedly given the boot, as it was a sticking point for Republicans in Congress.

President Obama

The "Public Option" would have given citizens and permanent residents the opportunity to purchase government insurance. However, Democrat, Senator Harry Reid, insists the current bill will still give "insurance companies more competition" in a bid at driving down costs. Medicare will also be expanded to cover Americans at age 55.

Senator Harry Reid

This is a start and one that can always be amended and expanded as the nation's financial outlook improves, provided the government makes the right choices regarding a potential economic recovery.

Democrats Said to Agree to Drop Public Option

(Bloomberg) — Senate Democrats tentatively agreed to abandon plans to set up a full government-run insurance program in a bid to remove one of the biggest obstacles to health legislation, a person familiar with negotiations said.

The lawmakers instead backed a proposal to establish a program modeled on the U.S. government employee-insurance system that would have private companies provide coverage under federal oversight to millions of uninsured Americans, the person said. They also want to expand eligibility for the federal Medicare program for the elderly.

The deal was negotiated by 10 Senate Democrats seeking an alternative to the government-run program. While most Democrats support the so-called public option, the idea has drawn fire from party members in the Senate and all Republicans. It needs backing by 60 senators to get into the final bill...

Senator Reid Compares Health Care To Slavery

Senator Harry Reid: "What'cu talkin' bout Willis" (quote from "Different Strokes" TV show)

A leading Democratic U.S. senator, Harry Reid, has condemned the Republican Party, for their opposition to President Obama's health care bill. He compared it to slavery, for which he is being criticized online, deeming it an insult to black people.

I do believe health care reform is in the best interest of America, but additional spending shall damage the economy to greater degrees, due to the ongoing recession-turned-depression.

Senator Max Baucus and President Obama

Look for cost cuts, such as medical imaging, in making the technology more affordable and ways to permanently eliminate Medicare fraud. That will be a great start.

It would be great if everyone had solid health care, but the U.S. Congress should pace itself, lest it make the nation's financial condition even worse.

FBI Director Robert S. Mueller

Speaking of slavery, it is still going on, when greedy, unconscionable Hollywood can dirtily and criminally abuse and rob a black woman of a fortune in copyrights and the crooked FBI can drag their feet to help ratchet up the stealing. It's not a good look. The FBI must think the world is stupid and don't realize what they and Hollywood did.

Slavery is back and uglier than ever. Millions have seen it with their own eyes and are not amused, hence the decimated sales of the perpetrators committing the crimes. It doesn't exactly compel the world to invest, witnessing such fraud and egregious misconduct. What was the sense of enacting the Civil Rights Act Of 1964, for the FBI to so viciously violate it.

U.S. Health Care With Mandatory Abortion Fees

President Barack Obama

According to published reports, Democratic Senator Harry Reid, is pushing a government run health plan that requires a monthly abortion fee. Why should people subsidize that which they do not agree with.

Roland Burris (left) and Harry Reid (right)

Many people do not agree with abortion and should not be forced to pay such a fee. It is not going to sit well with a lot of people. Some are still concerned about the price tag of the bill and this news is going to sour them on the whole thing even more.

Sen. Reid’s Government-Run Health Plan Requires a Monthly Abortion Fee

Posted by GOP Leader Press Office on November 19th, 2009 - Just like the original 2,032-page, government-run health care plan from Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA), Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s (D-NV) massive, 2,074-page bill would levy a new “abortion premium” fee on Americans in the government-run plan.

Beginning on line 7, p. 118, section 1303 under “Voluntary Choice of Coverage of Abortion Services” the Health and Human Services Secretary is given the authority to determine when abortion is allowed under the government-run health plan. Leader Reid’s plan also requires that at least one insurance plan offered in the Exchange covers abortions (line 13, p. 120).

What is even more alarming is that a monthly abortion premium will be charged of all enrollees in the government-run health plan. It’s right there beginning on line 11, page 122, section 1303, under “Actuarial Value of Optional Service Coverage.” The premium will be paid into a U.S. Treasury account – and these federal funds will be used to pay for the abortion services...

Senate health care bill adds new tax increases, costs twice as much as promised

November 19, 5:06 - Get alerts when there is a new article from the DC SCOTUS Examiner. Read Examiner.com's terms of use.
Email Address

The health care “reform” bill drafted by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) adds new tax increases, and costs twice as much as its promised $849 billion price tag.

Here are some of the tax increases (in billions):

1. 40% excise tax on health coverage in excess of $8,500 (individuals) / $23,000 (families). . .
2. Additional 0.5% Medicare (Hospital Insurance) tax on wages in excess of $200,000 ($250,000 for joint filers) – begins in 2013 – $54 B tax increase
3. Impose annual fee on manufacturers and importers of branded drugs – begins in 2010 – $22 B tax increase
4. Impose annual fee on manufacturers and importers of certain medical devices – begins in 2010 – $19 B tax increase
5. Impose annual fee on manufacturers and importers of certain medical devices – begins in 2010 – $60 B tax increase
6. Cut in half (to $500K) the amount of an executive’s compensation that a health plan can deduct from its corporate income taxes – begins in 2013 . . .
7. Impose 5% excise tax on cosmetic surgery and similar procedures – begins for surgery in 2010 – $6 B tax increase!

The bill will cost far more than projected. The bill uses deceptive “accounting tricks” to keep the short-term costs down, by temporarily raising taxes before spending explodes...

This Man Was Elected To Congress

This country is in a lot of trouble!

Al Franken

AP Article:

No joke: Al Franken takes his new job seriously

WASHINGTON (AP) — So, did you hear the one about the comedian who spent a whole day on Capitol Hill and told no jokes?

Democrat Al Franken arrived in Washington on Monday content to be as mundane in the Senate as he was brazen in his previous job as a "Saturday Night Live" performer.

Forget funny. Soon after he showed up in a Senate hallway with Majority Leader Harry Reid, Franken made clear his new schtick is serious senator from Minnesota.
