Boxers And Brain Injuries
Boxer Muhammad Ali and his equally handsome grandson in a Louis Vuitton ad
For years boxer Frank Bruno had struggled with depression and related issues, after sustaining blows to the head during the course of his career. He became suicidal 13-years ago and was admitted to a hospital for mental health treatment. He retired from boxing at age 34. Bruno is now 54 and seeks to make a boxing comeback, which is inadvisable, as it could exacerbate his depression and any underlying medical conditions related to the brain. I have wondered if Bruno is struggling with the beginning stages of brain disease due to some of his symptoms. However, I hope not. Nonetheless, he must continue to stick to an appropriate and effective treatment plan for his depression.

Autopsy States Blues Legend BB King Was Not Poisoned Contrary To His Daughters Claims
A Las Vegas coroner has ruled blues music legend BB King, "died of natural causes" and not poisoning, as his daughters claimed when they requested an autopsy. King died at the ripe old age of 89 in Las Vegas, Nevada. His daughters, Patty King and Karen Williams, expressed the view King's business manager/the executor of his estate, Laverne Tony and a personal assistant, Myron Johnson, systematically poisoned King, leading to his death.
However, an article in Rolling Stone magazine reveals, Clark County coroner John Fudenberg stated "Alzheimer's" was the "primary contributing factor" in King's death and "type 2 diabetes, coronary artery atherosclerosis, congestive heart failure, hypertension and cerebral vascular disease acting as 'significant contributing factors.'"

Movie Review: Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes
Title: Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes
Year Of Release: 2011
Review Date: August 31, 2011
Rating: PG-13
Running time: 93 minutes
Box Office Gross: $306,901,839
Site Rating: 2 out of 10 stars
"Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes" is the action sequel to 2001's "Planet Of The Apes." The film stars, James Franco, as a scientist seeking to cure Alzheimer's by experimenting on apes. How original (sarcasm). One of the apes in the study, Caesar, ingests the drug via his mother and becomes more intelligent. Due to his increased intelligence, Caesar becomes aware of the plight of apes kept in captivity and leads a rebellion.
The plot to this film took too many twists and turns and became downright creepy at times. It also has underlying themes regarding prevalent ideas about HIV and AIDS, strewn throughout the film, though the subject matter has to do with Alzheimer's.Movie Review: The Adjustment Bureau
Title: The Adjustment Bureau
Year Of Release: 2011
Review Date: August 31, 2011
Rating: PG-13
Running time: 106 minutes
Box Office Gross: $127,104,813
Site Rating: 0 out of 10 stars
"The Adjustment Bureau" stars Matt Damon and Emily Blunt, as two people that keep running into each other, but a sinister "bureau" tries to keep them apart. Damon plays David Norris, a congressman aspiring to become the President of the United States. Blunt plays Elise Sellas, a dancer David is attracted to, but can't seem to go out with.
This film was strange and very derivative. It is as though the writers attempted to cull themes from different sources that are not related, in trying to make a film that comes off quite confusing. This is the kind of film that only makes sense to crazy people in Hollywood.Wednesday, July 20, 2011
Obama Aging More Rapidly Than Ever In The White House
Barack Obama this month
U.S. President, Barack Obama, has been looking tired and somewhat haggard of late, clearly due to the stress associated with his job that has intensified. Obama's hair is grayer than ever and seemingly overnight. More troublingly is the fact Obama is exhibiting the early signs indicative of the onset of Alzheimers.
Barack Obama in 2008
A few days ago, Obama got his own birth date incorrect. He was off by two weeks. A few months ago, he signed the wrong year in the guestbook during a visit to Westminster Abbey. Prior to these incidents, Obama incorrectly stated America has 57 states. There several other incidents indicating Obama is having memory problems.
When individuals experience mentally stressful events of an extraordinary nature, it can lead to Alzheimers. One does not have to experience a blow to the head or have been present in situations, where a bomb detonated and the force there from negatively impacted the brain (even without physical injury to the person). Massive mental distress over the course of a few short years, can deteriorate the brain.
