Movie Director Quentin Tarantino Under Fire For Remarks He Made About Police

Quentin Tarantino at rally

Hollywood movie director, Quentin Tarantino, made politically charged comments about cops in America, due to the wave of police brutality gripping the country, targeting minorities. Tarantino attended a three day rally in New York decrying police violence against minorities. Tarantino branded police "murderers" which caused an uproar among officers and their departments in America.

There are definitely acts of excessive violence and police brutality targeting minorities in America. It is unquestionable at this point, as we've all seen it via video of tragic incidents showing members of the public being abused or murdered. This misconduct has resulted in the deaths of many blacks and Hispanics. However, you can't paint everyone with the same brush. Every police officer is not a murderer (though some are such as Michael Slager). There are good police officers in America and the world, who do their jobs with honesty and integrity each workday. And no matter what you think, society needs police to maintain order.

Side Bar: not all cops are bad. I know a few cops that are nice. One friend in particular was a cop, but it really wasn't his strong suit. In one incident, a lady ran up to him about a minor incident and he responded, "Lady, I'm eating my lunch" (and that was that LOL). Prior to that, when he was a security guard, he received an emergency call about a break-in occurring at the apartment complex he was responsible for patrolling to which he responded, "they didn't give me a gun though" so he called the police and that was that (LOL). Now he's a lawyer and the streets are much safer that he is NOT patrolling them (LOL).

Django Unchained Causing Offense Among Black People For Its Repetitive Use Of The N-Word

Django Unchained

Director Quentin Tarantino, who reads this site, is being slammed for his latest movie "Django Unchained" which is a slave film that repetitively uses the n-word, much to the offense of black people. Tarantino, who uses extreme violence and crudeness in his film, is being criticized for going to far in a racial matter.

African-American filmmaker Spike Lee denounced the film, calling it an offense to his ancestors. While I have not seen the film, I'm not comfortable with any movie repetitively using the n-word. It doesn't contain shock value, just offense. Releasing it on Christmas Day was a bad touch as well.

Two Hollywood Directors Fall To Homophobic Statements

Bret Ratner did rat out the gays

First it was "Rush Hour" director, Bret Ratner on the hot seat for calling a man "fa**ot" when provoked in a confrontation that occurred on a Los Angeles street, which got him fired from producing the Academy Awards ceremonies. However in 2009, "Kill Bill" director, Quentin Tarantino, used the homophobic word in trying to fire up an audience at a premiere in saying, "It's good to see you bad-ass Thursday mother****ers here! Not those Friday fa***ts, you're here at 12!"

Quentin Tarantino

Hollywood hates homophobia and often slams others for using words gays find offensive, so why do so many of its heterosexual denizens get into trouble for it. The Judiciary Report does not agree with gay marriage, but does not believe homosexuals or any other group should be slurred via words they deem insulting.

"Inglorious Basterds" Opening Weekend

Actor Brad Pitt's graphic film "Inglorious Basterds" directed by Quentin Tarantino, is projected to open at number one at the North American Box Office this weekend, with a moderate take of $30-$35 million in ticket sales.

"Brad Pitt Is A Basterd"

Two days ago, the New York Times published an article, questioning the lackluster box office sales of late, of Hollywood A-List stars such as Pitt and wondered if he would be able to break out of that rut.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt

Well, it does not appear so, as opening numbers for "Inglorious Basterds" are slightly above average, but by no means a smash.

Megan Fox

The only big box office hit thus far this year was the movie "Transformers" starring Megan Fox and Shia LaBoeuf. Maybe opportunistic, fame loving, attention seeking, weed smoking Brad will dump his partner Angelina for her knock off Megan. It's not like he hasn't done something like that before.

A-List Stars Flailing at the Box Office This Summer

Published: August 20, 2009 - LOS ANGELES — The spring and summer box office has murdered megawatt stars like Will Ferrell, Denzel Washington, Julia Roberts, Eddie Murphy, John Travolta, Russell Crowe, Tom Hanks and Adam Sandler.

Can Brad Pitt escape? A-list movie stars have long been measured by their ability to fill theaters on opening weekend. But never have so many failed to deliver, resulting in some rare soul-searching by motion picture studios about why the old formula isn’t working — and a great deal of agita from stars (and agents) about the potential vaporization of their $20 million paychecks.

“The cratering of films with big stars is astounding,” said Peter Guber, the former chairman of Sony Pictures who is now a producer and industry elder statesman. “These supertalented people are failing to aggregate a large audience, and everybody is looking for answers.”

Mr. Guber added, “Even Johnny Depp” — starring in the drama “Public Enemies” — “didn’t exactly deliver a phenomenal result.”

Mr. Ferrell bombed in “Land of the Lost,” a $100 million comedy that sold only $49 million in tickets in North America. Ms. Roberts missed with “Duplicity,” a $60 million thriller that sold $40.5 million. “Angels & Demons” (Mr. Hanks) was soft. Ditto for “The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3” (Mr. Washington and Mr. Travolta)...

The fading ability of Hollywood stars to command box office attention, and why it’s happening, has been a perennial topic in Hollywood. And economists and academics have long argued that marquee names are not worth their expense.

“Stars and success as a corollary is largely a myth,” said S. Abraham Ravid, an economics professor at Rutgers University who has conducted several studies on movie business practices.

But some of the same chewed-over reasoning for lessening star power has become even truer with time: people are harder to move off the sofa; a plethora of entertainment options competes for time and attention; the Web and paparazzi culture have made it difficult for stars to stand apart as rare and unique...

Brad Pitt v. Tom Cruise

Bisexual Actors Fighting

"Brad Pitt Is A Basterd"

Brad Pitt, who stars in the movie “Inglorious Basterds” is slamming fellow actor, Tom Cruise, over his Nazi hunting film “Valkyrie.” Pitt referred to Cruise’s previously released film as “ridiculous” while claiming his “Inglorious Basterds” is the definitive film on Nazis.

Was that really necessary? Yes, Tom Cruise is "one taco short of a combination platter" but what’s your beef with him all of a sudden.

You didn’t invent the notion of Nazis and your films are different, so what’s the problem. You’re behaving like an aging drama queen.

Pitt calls Cruise’s Nazi film ‘ridiculous’

‘Inglourious Basterds’ star thinks his new film closes book on WWII genre

Brad Pitt stars in this Quentin Tarantino film set during World War II about a group of Jewish soldiers who scalp and kill Nazis.

As far as Brad Pitt is concerned, his new film “Inglourious Basterds” is the be all and end all of Nazi movies.

“The second World War could still deliver more stories and films, but I believe that Quentin [Tarantino, director] put a cover on that pot. With ‘Basterds,’ everything that can be said to this genre has been said,” Pitt tells the German magazine Stern. “The film destroys every symbol. The work is done, end of story.”

As for another WWII Hitler assassination movie with a famous Hollywood star, he says there is no comparison. When the Stern reporter mentioned Tom Cruise's recent turn in a film about a real plot to kill Hitler, Pitt simply said, “It was a ridiculous movie.”...

Brad Pitt Is A Weed Smoking Liar

Brad Pitt has been caught in a lie, outed by none other than his buddy, director Quentin Tarantino, for stating he gave up smoking marijuana when he had kids. Tarantino stated this week, Pitt recently offered to split a block of weed with him.

Three months ago in this Column, I wrote about his partner Angelina Jolie, still grappling with illegal drug cravings (hint hint), after having abused her body and mind, with various narcotics for years.

While, I’m not fan of the Jolie Pitts, here’s hoping they kick the addiction for the sake of their six children, as being raised by unreformed addicts is destructive.

Brad Pitt 'still smokes pot' says Quentin Tarantino

19/08/2009 - The Hollywood star - who could apparently roll a spliff better than Bob Marley - insisted he had given up his herbal habit when he became dad to Angelina Jolie's brood.

He said of his spliff-rolling skills at the time: "I'm an artist at it, what can I say. But I'm a dad now, you have to be alert." However, after telling the lovely Ange he had put his pot-smoking days behind him, bad Brad's pal Quentin Tarantino went and grassed him up.

The director went on Howard Stern's radio show to reveal Brad offered him drugs during a meeting for his Inglorious Basterds film.

He told the American shock jock how Brad "pulled out a brick of hash" during their meeting to discuss the film at his French home.

Then when Brad passed him an empty can of coke to use as a pipe to smoke the weed, the Pulp Fiction legend said: "Yeah, I know what to do with this."

Ange will not be Jolie pleased...
