The Sopranos

A thief stole a $3,000 Rolex watch off the body of "Sopranos" actor James Gandolfini, who died while vacationing in Italy last month. Gandolfini collapsed in the bathroom of his suite at the Boscolo Exedra Hotel in Rome, suffering from a massive heart attack. Doctors pronounced him dead at a local hospital.

The New Jersey native's body was flown to New York for his funeral, held in Manhattan. Police currently have no solid leads regarding the individual responsible for pilfering the watch. Hollywood Glamorizes The Mafia At Kids Expense

The Sopranos

Hollywood and its component, the music industry, are known for having their financial feet in mafia coffers, as they have funded a number of tinseltown and record label projects. As a result, over the years, they have and continue to, glamorize the violent, brutal and unethical lifestyle of the mafia, as though it is something to be proud of, when it is not. Hollywood and the music industry have done this at the expense of impressionable teens and kids, which deserves the strongest rebuke and denunciation.

Shows such as the "Sopranos" and movies like "Scarface" "Goodfellas" and the forthcoming "Gotti" biopic, glorify violence, hate, misogyny, promiscuous sex and thievery. A number of music albums have done the same. Youth, whose minds are like sponges, take in this so-called entertainment and attempt to emulate it to their detriment. However, it is not cool when they get killed or arrested for trying to behave like a criminal character on television or wax.

Sopranos Star Arrested For Assault And Extortion

The Sopranos was sued by Italian-Americans over its very negative portrait

Another case of life imitating art has surfaced in Hollywood, via the arrest of, Anthony Borgese, also known as, Tony Darrow, on extortion and assault charges. Borgese, a star of the mafia television show "The Sopranos" decided to behave like a mobster and severely beat a man that owed him and another man money. Loan shark, anyone.

Sopranos actors James Gandolfini and Anthony Borgese

Borgese, is connected to the Italian-American mafia crime group, known as the Gambino family. People should not glorify or romanticize the mafia or any other organized crime group, as it is not an honorable way of life and it often leads to serious trouble.
