Lil Wayne Loses Private Jet Lawsuit And Is Ordered To Pay $1,800,000

Young Money rapper, Lil Wayne, real name Dwayne Carter, was sued this year by an aviation company in Miami, for ordering the $1,000,000 customization of a Gulfstream private jet, accepting it under leasing terms and failing to pay the bill. The private jet, which costs $55,000 per month to run, was used by Lil Wayne, but the company did not receive payment in accordance with the terms of the leasing deal. A verdict has been reached in the case and Lil Wayne was hit with a $1,800,000 court judgment. 

Lil Wayne's money troubles are piling up. He is attempting to sell his $10,000,000 Miami mansion that he should not have bought, as he could not afford it (he has been delinquent in not paying the $220,000 property tax bill for 2014). Lil Wayne is also facing many lawsuits for copyright infringement, defrauding songwriters and producers out of royalties he is contractually obligated to pay and non-payment of other bills. This behavior is typical of Hollywood, where they all want to live the high life that many of them are not entitled to, so they rob others to fund their lifestyles and run up bills, then don't want to pay them.

Cash Money Records owner and rapper, Birdman, real name Bryan Williams, has been sued again for stealing royalties. Music producer DVLP has sued Birdman for $200,000 over unpaid royalties. DVLP stated in court he has done work for Cash Money artists and stars on its subsidiary Young Money, but has not been paid the royalties due to him.

DVLP is one of many people suing Cash Money and Young Money over non-payment of royalties and bills. Cash Money and Young Money also have many copyright infringement lawsuits against them for outright theft. The companies' owners show off about being rich, yet refuse to pay millions in royalties and bills they owe to creditors. That's call fraud and theft. Industry of thieves.

The producer -- who goes by DVLP -- had his people make various demands that Birdman and Cash Money cough up $200,000 for work he did on albums for Wayne and other artists. Birdman's response shows the new frontier in blowing off creditors. Forget a lawyer's letter ... Birdman is all about texting DVLP to hold him at bay.

Rapper and music producer David Banner has sued Cash Money Records imprint, Young Money, alleging non-payment of royalties.  Banner revealed he produced several tracks for Lil Wayne and is owed at least $150,000 in royalties. Banner is unable to obtain an accurate accounting of royalties owed. In industry terms this means Cash Money and Young Money are engaging in creative accounting, doctoring their books, to defraud people they owe money.

Rappers Drake and Tyga, as well as a host of writers and producers are complaining they have not been paid, collectively owed millions by Cash Money and Young Money, who are thieves. Many writers and producers have also sued Cash Money and Young Money for copyright infringement in stealing their work. Professionals do not do business in this manner. You don't contract people to do work, collect millions of dollars, squander it on lavish living, then don't pay people for their labor that made you rich. It is fundamentally wrong. Real business people do not conduct their financial affairs in this manner.

Ruth Madoff, the wife of incarcerated ponzi schemer, Bernard Madoff, has been sued by a trustee, seeking $45 million dollars in damages, for defrauded investors.

Ruth Madoff, was allowed to keep $2.5 million as apart of a plea deal her husband struck with the federal government, in exchange for a confession.

However, that money is set to be wiped out via legal fees and judgments, from lawsuit after lawsuit, filed by fleeced investors. I think it is just desserts, as the Madoffs unlawfully lived lavishly off the proceeds of financial crimes. Investors should also sue Madoff's sons and their wives and ex-wives, who pocketed millions in fraud money.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Ruth Madoff, wife of imprisoned Ponzi schemer Bernard Madoff, was sued Wednesday by a court-appointed trustee seeking $45 million in funds to compensate victims.

Last month, federal authorities seized the Madoffs' assets but left Ruth Madoff with $2.5 million -- an amount they could not tie to her husband's massive and long-running Ponzi scheme.

But Irving Pickard, the trustee appointed by U.S. Bankruptcy Court in New York, said that Ruth received $44.8 million in "fraudulent" transfers during the six years leading up to the bankruptcy of her husband's investment firm.

"While Madoff's crimes have left many investors impoverished and some charities decimated, Mrs. Madoff remains a person of substantial means," Pickard wrote in the suit. "The inequity between Mrs. Madoff's continuing financial advantages and the economic distress of Madoff's customers compels the trustee to bring this action."

Ruth Madoff's lawyer described the trustee's lawsuit as "perplexing" and unwarranted...
