Whitney Houston
The unusual Mendham, New Jersey home of the late
singer Whitney Houston is back on the market at $1,500,000. The
five-bedroom circular house was purchased by Houston when she first
hit it big in the 1980s, with a string of very popular hit songs.
Houston, the best singer of her generation, spent a lot of time in
the 5-acre home, even getting married on the grounds in 1992.
People who were kids in the late 1980s and early
1990s remember Houston conducting humorous interviews from the house
on “The Arsenio Hall Show” among other programs. It was also
featured on “Being Bobby Brown” which centered on her life and that
of her former husband, singer Bobby Brown and their daughter, Bobbi
Kristina Brown.
Throughout her career Houston owned properties in
Los Angeles, Miami and Atlanta, but based on interviews, the Mendham
home was her favorite as a native daughter of New Jersey. She was
definitely a groundbreaking artist, whose talent greatly outshone
all her contemporaries.
