Are Prejudice People Vilifying The Hoodie Which Is Just An Item Of Clothing

Why Is The Hoodie Being Insulted

I am a black woman that owns two hoodies. I never associated the article of clothing with something bad. But since the murder of 17-year-old African American Trayvon Martin, I have heard so many stereotypes regarding it that are shocking. It's just an item of clothing.

When I saw photo of white American "Unabomber" Theodore Kaczynski, it didn't color my view of Caucasians, as that was just one man that had committed crimes. You can't judge everyone by one person's negative deeds. I've seen blacks, whites, Hispanics and Asians wearing hoodies. I never judged anyone by it, so why are others doing so. Hoodies are handy on rainy days or when its windy or cold. You feel warm and comfortable.

By the way, hoodies are not cheap. My mom and I asked my godbrother what he wanted for Christmas, so as not to duplicate gifts and he said an NFL hoodie. I did a search online and got him a hoodie I found for $60 (plus shipping). To my godbrother, the next time you are asked what you want...you better say a tank top or some socks.

However, the image being perpetuated in the press and on select blogs is that hoodies are exclusively worn by poor black thugs, who are up to no good.

After getting slammed online for stating "I would not trade my place with an unattractive girl" beautiful actress, Megan Fox, stated today she was previously misquoted in an interview with Jalouse magazine (Megan Fox Said: "I Would Not Trade My Place With An Unattractive Girl"). Sure you were (sarcasm).

As pretty as she is, Fox is know for having diarrhea of the mouth. There's nothing wrong with having a good self-image, but lifting yourself up, while knocking a homely looking person, like, say, I don't know, Madonna, is not nice (LOL).

Robert Zimmerman, the dad of murderer, George Zimmerman, has spoken out in the death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, whom his son killed in cold blood for unlawful, racist reasons. Robert Zimmerman slammed President Obama for stating Martin "If I had a son he would look like Trayvon."

Zimmerman stated he never imagined all this hate could come at them from the President (among others). What Obama stated was correct. He just took too long to state it (Obama Finally Breaks His Silence On The Trayvon Martin Killing After Human Rights Groups And The Black Panthers Come Down On Him).

However, it was not hateful. The day before the president made the statement, my mom and I were having a discussion about the case, where I stated, "Trayvon looks familiar" (maybe I'd seen him around Miami, as I have friends that live a couple blocks away from where it was reported his mother lives). My mom replied, "He looks like Obama."

George Zimmerman admitted to killing a minor in an incident that has him on a 911 tape using the racist slur "fu*king coons." That was hateful - not someone stating there is a resemblance between a deceased minor and a head of state. As a parent, Judge Zimmerman probably does not want to admit his son did something very wrong, but as a man of the law he knows better, even if he does not want to admit it. It would be better if he kept silent, rather than attempting to defend the indefensible to a nation and world angered by a terrible injustice, as it is calling his legal career into question.

28-year-old murderer, George Zimmerman, hunted down 17-year-old underage minor, Trayvon Martin, treating the victim of his crimes as prey, for an imagined offense that simply never occurred. Unarmed Martin was well within his legal rights walking in his family's neighborhood, carrying candy and ice tea home to watch the NBA all star games. Zimmerman began stalking Martin, who lost him at one point.

However, determined to punish a frightened minor for an imagined offense, racist Zimmerman illogically pursued Martin again, found him and murdered the innocent teen in a confrontation that never should have happened, as the self-appointed neighborhood watchman was acting outside the law from start to finish.

Zimmerman is a paranoid individual with a history of stalking. Previously, Zimmerman stalked and physically assaulted his ex-fiancée, accusing her of things he imagined, in an incident of domestic violence that prompted her to obtain a restraining order against him. When she moved on from the relationship, due to his behavior and began dating someone else, Zimmerman pried into the life of her new beau and began accusing him of all sorts of madness the couple stated was not true.

Here we have two clear cut incidents of stalking, by a man who is a violent bully with a hero complex. A pattern of criminal behavior exists, as Zimmerman stalked people in incidents that resulted in violence and or the death of the victims he unlawfully pursued. Zimmerman's conduct fits the profile of a stalker and the most dangerous kind. Psychologists define stalking as a form of mental illness.

18-year-old rape victim, Oksana Makar, succumbed to her grave injuries and died yesterday, after being raped by three men, dumped into a ditch, set on fire and left for dead. Doctors battled to save the beautiful Ukrainian teen, amputating one of her arms and her feet, to stem her injuries.

Though doctors fought against her terrible injures, infection that had set in. Makar's body was overwhelmed by the extent of her injuries, both physical and mental, after such horrid abuse. Before she died, Makar pled for justice in the YouTube video posted above. Three men have since been arrested for these crimes.

This would mean, buying it cash at the current asking price, could mean immediate negative equity, especially with home values continuing to decline.
