Switzerland To Return Funds Duvalier Stole To Haiti

The Swiss government has moved to return stolen money stashed in their nation's banking system, by former Haitian President, Jean-Claude Duvalier. The $7,100,000 shall be returned tot he people of Haiti on a humanitarian basis, under a recently enacted Swiss law that goes into effect today.

This move is aided by the Haitian government's correct decision to arrest Duvalier on corruption charges and crimes against humanity, which occurred during his 15-year reign (1971-1986). That $6,000,000 could feed many people in Haiti, which suffered a deadly earthquake a year ago. The cost of food is steadily rising in the world, therefore every little bit helps. I look forward to seeing Haiti get back on its feet.

Another FBI employee has been outed for masturbating in public. A leaked internal FBI report, obtained by CNN reveals, a Federal Bureau of Investigation supervisor, regularly watched pornography in his office and masturbated on the job.

Once again, there is a serious issue of sexual dysfunction at the FBI. It is very inappropriate for a FBI employee, especially a supervisor, to be watching pornography and masturbating on the taxpayers' dime, whilst on federal property.

However, when one lawfully writes about their misconduct, the FBI forget the Constitution and universal rights to freedom of expression, then commence to bark how dare you, but writers dare because the agency did what they are accused of.

EFF: FBI violated your civil liberties

The FBI may have committed a minimum of 40,000 violations in its intelligence gathering since 9/11, in a report released Monday by the Electronic Frontier Foundation. In analyzing 2,500 pages of documents obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, EFF found that the violations showed a disregard for the privacy of the average citizen, civil liberties and oversight. The EFF report also documents the willingness of private companies to turn over their customers' information to the feds, without "valid legal justification."

FBI Searching For Missing Hockey Puck Instead Of Kids

The FBI is run by hockey fanatic, Robert S. Mueller. When the chance popped up to stick the agency's nose in the NHL, the FBI jumped at the chance, stating they are going to find a missing puck from a historic game.

This is the same FBI that tells the U.S. Congress it is short staffed and needs more taxpayer money to waste, while telling the parents of missing children to buzz off (FBI Denounced By Parents Of Missing Kids). The FBI is out searching for a hockey puck instead of missing children, when the latter is apart of their Congressional mandate and legal jurisdiction. Can you say, "losers!"

Mainstream Media Playing Down 9-Year-Old Brisenia Flores' Murder?

There have been charges on some websites, slamming the mainstream press for playing down the terrible murder of 9-year-old, Brisenia Flores, who was shot in the head at point blank range. Flores was killed for being an immigrant. Three members of the Minutemen broke into her family's home in Arizona, incorrectly deeming them drug dealers with absolutely no proof. They shot each member of the family, with the intent to kill and rob them of their possessions.

One has to admit, the story is terrible, confounding, appalling and quite jarring. However, people need to talk about it, as something has gone wrong in society that such a thing transpired. This terrible breed of hatred some, not all, are directing at immigrants, is unlawful and extreme. What did this child do that she deserved to be slaughtered in this manner? Nothing. But the question is, how many other people out there share the killers' dangerous views.

"Clash of the Titans" is a loose interpretation of the battle between Zeus, Poseidon and Hades gone loco. Not one for mythology "Clash of the Titans" did nothing for me. The special efx were over the top and overwhelming, which isn't always a good combo. The storyline was dark and deranged.

Though, many acclaimed actors and actresses were featured in the film, the special efx dominated everything and not in a good way. Every time they turn around, someone else in this movie gets killed and in some terrible fashion. At the end, there isn't very much left standing. Ironically, the film is supposed to be classic, but it isn't every classical.

And when I state violent, I mean gratuitous violence everywhere. One can argue it is the genre, but after a while it gets very trite. The sacrilegious film contains swearing in a church and other unnecessary items that are a turn off.

"The Sorcerer's Apprentice" starring Nicholas Cage, is an unoriginal movie that tried to capitalize on the "Harry Potter" film franchise. It also contained elements of other preexisting works. It revolves around a middle aged sorcerer named, Balthazar Blake, played by Cage, that takes on a Harry Potter-esque apprentice, Dave Stutler. They go through a series of corny magical tests, until they discover he is the one who is fit to be the next Merlin (*yawn*).

The funny thing is the studio spent a lot of money on this film and it bombed domestically. Worldwide sales brought up the tally, but for a film that cost $150,000,000 to make, plus $30,000,000 in promotional costs, it barely turned a profit for all that expenditure. Cage has released a string of unoriginal flops that cost him dearly. At the rate he is going, it shall costs him even more - his career and bank account.

"Date Night" stars Steve Carell and Tina Fey, as bored married couple, the Fosters, of New Jersey, who get in over their heads, when they decide to pose as other people to steal a restaurant reservation, at one of the most trendy places in New York.

The hapless couple end up stealing the reservation of a questionable couple named the Tripplehorns, who are being pursued by killers. Nice job (not). They are forced to run all over town in attempting to escape the corrupt people chasing them, which leads to even more mischief. There are some funny points in this film, but some of the jokes fell flat. It also became lewd at points, which limited its audience.
