Trump And Trade: Donald Trump Lashing Out Against America's Trade Partners In The World

Donald Trump

Donald Trump has been railing against China, India, Mexico and the European Union, regarding their trade status with America, even though the aforementioned countries are good nations to do business with in the global marketplace. Trump keeps adding nations to his grievance list. Trump has also been complaining of Americans jobs being shipped abroad for lower wages in foreign nations, which aides U.S. companies in showing greater financial profits and lower costs (stock market). Even 30-years ago, Trump made an appearance on the Oprah Winfrey Show complaining about Japan and Kuwait, stating their trade deals with America are negative.

Donald Trump's hair and skin looked normal in this video. Why he's gone orange in the skin department is anyone's guess.

Trump's speech in slamming America's trade partners is inadvisable. It is not wise to unnecessarily make enemies out of trade partners (or anyone for that matter). The countries Trump has been slamming have not done anything harmful or out of the ordinary to America in the area of trade. However, some American companies have exported jobs abroad and are not being taxed correctly in America, which has been occurring under the previous and current presidential administrations. Rich companies have been given sizeable tax breaks.

Change In Relations Between America And Cuba Underway (Video)

U.S. diplomats met with government officials in Cuba in an effort to normalize relations between the two sovereign nations. U.S. President Barack Obama recently eased restrictions between the two nations, which will open up trade and tourism. The 55-year-old embargo can be completely lifted by the U.S. Congress via legislative measures.

Polls reveal a majority of Americans are in favor of this move, as are Cubans on the island. However, there is some opposition to an official decision of this order. The U.S. government seeks to open an embassy in Havana, Cuba. The Cuba government also seeks to open an embassy in Washington, D.C. It would mark the beginning of a new era between the nations.

This comes as a surprise to few in the business world, as the past several years have been an economic boom for China, who has utilized its large population to create the most efficient and prodigious workforce on the planet. What they have done in the world of mass production is impressive. It proves the old adage that sometimes there is, "Strength in numbers."

Sony To Rip Off The iPad

iPad

Apple obsessed Sony, is planning to introduce their own iPad shortly and given their track record of criminal copyright infringement and patent infringement, as attested by hundreds of court cases, trouble is looming.

Apple Headquarters

Sony, never one to observe the property rights of others, has been bragging about their yet to surface product, which covetously seeks to cut into iPad sales. Sony shouldn't hold its breath, as Apple makes a far superior product and has a built in audience.

Sony's crazy CEO Howard Stringer

With the way sales have been plunging at Sony, the last thing they need is another embarrassment of a product getting battered in the market place (for further reference, see the Wii annihilating Sony's Play Station in the video game genre).

Mrs. Obama Slammed By Oscar De La Renta

First Lady Michelle Obama, Chinese President Hu Jintao and U.S. President Barack Obama

American designer, Oscar de la Renta, slammed First Lady, Michelle Obama, for wearing a stunning red gown by the late British designer, Alexander McQueen, who killed himself last year in a preventable and regrettable tragedy.

De la Renta complained that Mrs. Obama wore the gown to a state dinner with Chinese President Hu Jintao, in a gathering meant to encourage U.S. trade. De la Renta stated, "My understanding is that the visit was to promote American-Chinese trade — American products in China and Chinese products in America. Why do you wear European clothes?"

You tell her, girlfriend! It's a shame McQueen isn't alive, so these two ladies could duke slap and scratch it out over who is the best designer.

Oscar de la Renta on Watch...

Posted Friday January 21, 2011 - OSCAR ON WATCH: Apparently, quintessential Americana stops at Michelle Obama’s closet door — and not everyone approves. Fashion’s intrepid dissenter of record, Oscar de la Renta, questioned the choice of the lovely red-to-black gown by Alexander McQueen’s Sarah Burton the First Lady wore to the state dinner for Chinese President Hu Jintao.

“My understanding,” de la Renta told WWD, “is that the visit was to promote American-Chinese trade — American products in China and Chinese products in America. Why do you wear European clothes?” De la Renta noted that Obama remains a major fashion get, with the power to boost a house’s business. “I’m not talking about my clothes, my business. I’m old, and I don’t need it. But there are a lot of young people, very talented people here who do,” he said.

U.S. President Barack Obama Meets With China's President Jintao

U.S. President, Barack Obama, met with Chinese President, Hu Jintao, to discuss politics, economics and human rights. Obama is opposed to China's currency, the Yuan, remaining "artificially low" as his administration puts it, stating it grants an unfair advantage.

At the end of the day, both sides need to work together. President Obama must realize China is enjoying this time of unprecedented prosperity for their nation and does not want to do anything to tamper with that formula for success.

America In Decline

Economists say it's curtains for U.S. economic dominance in the world (Barack Obama)

An article published by Reuters, cited the new general view among economists that the end of U.S. economic dominance in the world has arrived. They've also concluded, the damage the U.S. economy has sustained is "permanent." Previously, the Judiciary Report warned of the potential permanency of the financial damage (See: Bush’s Blunders , The Bush Name A Byword In World History and The Move To Remove Obama).

The Judiciary Report is of the belief, a financially astute head of state with an extraordinary mind for numbers could bring the economy back, but both Bush, who caused the problem and Obama, who exacerbated it, do not fit the description.

China's rise to the top has been a remarkable one, rooted in hard work and the utilization of their large population to mass produce many products. Fair play to them. When a government devotes its resources to engaging in productive trade and innovation, much can be accomplished.

This is where America went astray, squarely thanks to former President George W. Bush. The United States was the world's top exporter of goods, with the "Made in America" tag prominently on products shipped and sold all over the globe. It was America's Levi's, Hanes, Coke and Pepsi era, when the economy was booming and the global marketplace dominated by U.S. products. It was fair play.

However, this advantage was lost during the Bush years, as he devoted the nation's time and resources to a war he lied to the country and the world about and squandered $1 trillion to prove a point on, which was lost on everyone. It is a historic lesson for every nation and all future generations.

Economists foretell of U.S. decline, China's ascension

Sun Jan 9, 2011 12:32pm EST - ...The United States will need to come to terms with the fact that its prevalence in the world is fated to come to an end, Jorgenson said. This will be difficult for many Americans to swallow and the United States should brace for social unrest amid blame over who was responsible for squandering global primacy, he said.

MIT's Simon Johnson put it more bluntly, saying the damage from the financial crisis and its aftermath have dealt U.S. prominence a permanent blow.

"The age of American predominance is over," he told a panel. "The (Chinese) Yuan will be the world's reserve currency within two decades."

...In the long run, the United States must face up to inevitably being overtaken by China as the world's largest economy. And it may have missed a chance to rein in its largest financial institutions, many of whom remain too big to fail and are getting bigger.
