Samsung Seeks To Buy Sinking Tidal As Two More Executives Depart From The Struggling Company In The Face Of Mounting Lawsuits

As Jay Z and Madonna's Tidal music streaming service falls, skidding towards bankruptcy, electronics giant Samsung, is reportedly interested in buying in the failed business. The Swedish company Aspiro was purchased and renamed Tidal. The price tag was $55,000,000, underwritten via loans and personal funds by recording artists Jay Z, Madonna, Rihanna, Kanye West, Micki Minaj, J. Cole and DeadAmu5, among others. It was launched as an equity business run by the aforementioned entertainers, but adopted the music streaming model pioneered by rival Spotify. 

Spotify is worth an estimated $3 billion and has 30 million subscribers (Apple, who is new to music streaming has 11,000,000 subscribers and Tidal has now has 1,000,000 but Tidal's users are mostly free accounts that are trial memberships). Tidal's owners immediately thought they would become billionaires. However, that's not how things worked out. Approximately 25 people fled Tidal, as the new owners have been engaging in criminal activity, such as falsifying sales, keeping two sets of accounting books, withholding royalty statements from recording artists who signed up the service in acts that constitute breach of contract, financial fraud, conversion and racketeering. 

This week it was announced, Tidal has been sued for doing the very thing the company said a year ago it wouldn't do - not pay artists. The band, The American Dollar, sued Tidal for $5 million American dollars. Oh, but it gets worse. Coincidentally (not really) yesterday Jay Z and company claimed it has fired Tidal's CFO Chris Haart and COO Nils Juell (trying to shift the blame to the two executives for Jay Z and Madonna's unlawful conduct - after blaming Harry Fox and prior to that, Universal, for all their self-induced problems). However, other reports indicate both men left Tidal, adding to the grand total of 25 people that already fled the lawbreaking company. Weeks prior Tidal's Senior Vice President, Zena Burns and Chief Information Officer, Vania Schlogel left.

Jay Z and company are seeking to offload Tidal. It is hemorrhaging millions of dollars and being slapped with lawsuits, wracking up massive legal fees. Despite these facts, Jay Z and his fellow Tidal owners want $100,000,000 for a company they bought for $55,000,000 a year ago and have run into the ground, while incurring serious additional debts. Tidal is also running a criminal credit card scam to boost revenues (Tidal Ripped Off Consumers Fraudulently Charging The Credit Cards Of Former Customers Who Closed Their Music Streaming Accounts).

Any entity that purchases Tidal is going to be faced with serious liabilities on a failed business. Tidal doesn't even have the rights to much of the music they are illegally streaming. Major labels also hate Tidal for botching their releases (and they seek to botch more releases to get them as Tidal exclusives). Vanity Fair magazine wrote, "On top of everything else, music industry executives aren't confident about Tidal, either. In a Billboard survey, 71 percent say they think Tidal will die out within a year. A more optimistic 17 percent gave Tidal one to two years before it folds." In short, they want Tidal gone.

In response to an item Jay Z and Madonna floated to the New York Post about Tidal and a potential sale, Samsung stated to the newspaper, "It is our policy to not comment on rumors or speculation."

Actor and comedian Bill Cosby, star of the 1980s hit sitcom “The Cosby Show” is under fire as 25 women have come forward accusing him of drugging and raping them. Cosby, who had settled a legal case brought against him by several of his accusers years ago, has dodged questions from the press about his conduct, while his attorney tried to state the allegations are fabrications. 

A few days ago, famous supermodel and businesswoman, Beverly Johnson, came forward in Vanity Fair magazine, stating Cosby drugged her with the intent of rape, but she fought back. In a well written article in her own words, Johnson, lifts the veil on the Hollywood icon, confirming people’s worst fears and suspicions regarding him.

In the 1980s, Cosby reached out to the ground breaking model, who was the first African American woman to grace the cover of Vogue magazine. Cosby asked Johnson to appear on “The Cosby Show” which had many guest stars playing themselves or others. It was the top show of its time and the most special sitcom to many, so Johnson, just like any person in the entertainment industry at the time would, gladly accepted his offer. 

Cosby encouraged Johnson to bring her young daughter by his home in New York for brunch. They discussed her appearance on the show and he asked her to come back for another visit reading her acting role. During the second visit Cosby insisted Johnson try a cappuccino from his high end machine, an appliance that was uncommon in the average home at the time. Johnson stated by the second sip she knew she had been drugged by Cosby. She began screaming at him and calling him “motherf*****.” This enraged Cosby who dragged her down the stairs with such force she stated she thought her neck would break. He pushed her into a cab outside his home and she woke up the next morning in her bed.

Cosby’s wife, Camille has leapt to his defense stating, “He is a kind man, a generous man, a funny man. A different man has been portrayed in the media over the last two months. It is the portrait of a man I do not know. The story was heart-breaking, but ultimately appears to be proved to be untrue. Many in the media were quick to link that story to stories about my husband -- until that story unwound. None of us will ever want to be in the position of attacking a victim. But the question should be asked -- who is the victim?” 

Cosby for his part, is playing the race card in this matter, which is highly inappropriate under the circumstances, as he is in the wrong. Cosby recently stated to the New York Post, “'Let me say this. I only expect the black media to uphold the standards of excellence in journalism and when you do that you have to go in with a neutral mind.”

Why are you bringing this burden on the black media. What does race have to do with this. Women of different races, both black and white, famous and non-famous, whom you’ve had interactions with, are credibly accusing you of drugging and raping them. It's time to admit the truth to the public and stop hurting people.

I do believe some women lie about being raped. However, I do not believe Cosby is innocent in this matter. Furthermore, he had settled in court with many of his accusers years ago, in an effort to avoid prison, which is where he belongs. No one has the right to drug and or rape anyone. It is a cruel crime that is so predatory and sick in nature, it deserves to be exposed and dealt with it criminal court.

Hollywood actor Channing Tatum says he is worried about 19-year-old singer Justin Bieber, who has made headlines often over the past several months, in numerous scandals. Bieber arrived in Miami for game 7 of the playoffs, where the Heat squared off against Pacers and won. The Pacers left the arena looking like they needed pacemakers, after the Heat broke their hearts with a definitive win. But hey, they're both great teams.

But I digress. Outlets report Bieber drank and partied at the night clubs and a seedy strip club, in increasingly worrying behavior, as the once squeaky clean star has deviated from his once wholesome image.
Tatum stated to Vanity Fair, "I worry about Bieber, man. That kid’s wildly talented. I hope he doesn’t fall down into the usual ways of young kids because it’s so hard for someone to be responsible when they’re not asked to be. We’re not asked to do things ourselves..."

The Judiciary Report maintains, Bieber needs better friends and a down to earth, decent girlfriend who will tell him when he is being influenced by the wrong people and manipulatively led astray for other's personal and financial gain. Some could care less about his demise, as long as they get what they want.

Longtime Scientologist Marc Headley stated to Vanity Fair, "You can’t do anything to displease Scientology, because Tom Cruise will freak out.”

Cruise was recently hit with divorce papers by his third wife, actress Katie Holmes, a Catholic, who couldn't wait to get away from the kooky, deranged cult. Holmes also stipulated in divorce papers that her daughter Suri is to have nothing to do with Scientology. Good for her. According to published reports and complaints, Scientology is a kid hating, child molesting cult that leaves adherents severely mentally ill, much like Kabbalah.

It's hard to feel sorry for Tom Cruise, when he knows the horrible things his cult gets up to against innocent people, where dozens have died under suspicious circumstances. There have been so many Scientology suicides contested by the bereaved loved ones of the cult's victims, as the cases look more like murder, due to the terrible inconsistencies and physical impossibilities at the crime scenes.

He is now engaged to entertainment industry manager, Alicia Etheridge, who put him back to work. The two have a small son. Brown has a daughter by Houston, 19-year-old Bobby Kristina Brown. He also has three other children from other relationships.

So, what went wrong to render such poor sales, you ask? I have a theory. Vanity Fair is a grown up magazine with high brow articles. This is hardly the demographic of Bieber's fans that prefer pop culture and fashion magazines.
