Articles were published last week in the mainstream press that states
a record number of Mexicans have left America during Barack Obama's
presidency. This news is regrettable, as Mexicans have contributed so
much to the United States with their culture and labor. This development
is not good for the economy.
Last year, the Judiciary Report published an article about American
farm owners lamenting the number of Mexicans that have been summarily
rounded up and deported to Mexico. Farm owners stated Mexicans were
great workers, who are well-conditioned and hard working. U.S. farmers
have publicly complained they are losing a fortune, due to said
deportations and now sadly voluntary departures from
America.

A four-decade tidal wave of Mexican immigration to the
United States has receded, causing a historic shift in migration
patterns as more Mexicans appear to be leaving the United States for
Mexico than the other way around, according to a report from the Pew
Hispanic Center.
“I think the massive boom in Mexican immigration is over and I don’t
think it will ever return to the numbers we saw in the 1990s and 2000s,”
said Douglas Massey, a professor of sociology and public affairs at
Princeton University and co-director of the Mexican Migration Project,
which has been gathering data on the subject for 30 years...

delicate dance by the Republican and Democratic parties as they struggle
with immigration policies and court the increasingly important Latino

Historic wave of Mexican immigration at a
standstill, report says
April 23, 2012 | 4:39 pm - The number of Mexican migrants to
the United States dropped significantly while the number of those
returning home increased, bringing net migration from Mexico to a
statistical standstill, according to a report published Monday.
The shift over the last several years marks a significant change
after four decades of historic immigration from Mexico, according to the
report by the Pew Hispanic Center.
In the October 19, 2011, article entitled "The Obama Administration Has Deported A Record Number Of Immigrants In 2011" the Judiciary Report stated, "Many illegal immigrants are also vital to the farming, construction, food and hospitality industries in America, representing billions of dollars to said sectors of business. Therefore, what the Obama Administration has done via these deportations is also financially unsound."
Two days later, on October 21, 2011, the site's claims have been proven true, as a number of farmers in the U.S. state of Alabama have come forward to denounce the state's immigration law, as scaring immigrants away and costing them a lot of money in revenue (during a financial depression, of all times).
The above posted Associated Press video features people in the agriculture industry stating, "Few Americans take immigrants' jobs in Alabama" and it is damaging the farming industry. The same pattern is repeating itself in each and every state the Obama Administration deported a record number of 400,000 immigrants, who have done jobs many Americans do not want to do.
The video reveals many Americans find the field work too taxing and either quit or do not return to the farm after lunch. Another farmer stated the Americans that attempted to do the jobs immigrants did on his farm, were not physically fit enough and did not have the mental grit to endure such strenuous labor in the fields all day.

I'm going to be honest, I am a legal immigrant, always have been, I don't think I'm better than anyone, but I always take my hat off to people, immigrant to the States or American or world citizen in their respective nations, for doing farm work and construction jobs, as it is physically grueling.
I remember once I did the majority of the work renovating an old home we'd bought and it was like a full time job. Some nights I was so tired after working on the house, I would fall asleep on the living room floor. Then, there was the gardening aspect of restoring an out of control set of gardens on four sides of the house, that needed cutting, pruning, new plants, stone borders, digging a water feature and maintenance, all of which would wear me out in the hot southern sun (Florida).
So once again, I commend people that are able to do farming and construction work, as what I experienced for a few months is a mere fraction of what they do 5-6 days a week, year after year. To deport someone for seeking a better life is wrong. Not to mention, they are playing a vital role in the economy. They don't just come to America and get loads of benefits and begin living off the state. It does not work that way. They deserve a chance to work and a path to citizenship.
"The Fantastic Mr. Fox" starring George Clooney, is possibly one of the most boring animated films I have ever seen. I couldn't wait for it to finish. "Mr. Fox" is the story of a thieving fox that steals food from farmers (right up Hollywood's alley). When the farmers figure out what is transpiring and try to kill Fox and his cohorts, they flee underground. Much more could have been done with this film that was adapted from a children's novel, as the movie was dull and the animation chintzy.
Listen closely. Do you hear that howling sound. That's the cries of rappers all over the world, bawling at the sight of the Mexican government burning the largest marijuana field in their nation's history, while arresting the farmers that cultivated it in the desert.

Do you know how many male rappers would have wanted to run through those fields, like a woman picking flowers on a sunny summer day. Not to mention, Bob Marley is rolling in his grave at this development (I'm just teasing).

In all seriousness, one has to give the Mexican government credit for its war on drugs, as it has been a massive effort. They've made so many arrests and seizures of cocaine and marijuana, it's amazing. Well done.
