Should Kelly Price Be Back For Season Two Of 'R&B Divas LA'

R&B Divas LA reunion show

The surprise villain on the reality show "R&B Divas LA" turned out to be none other than singer Kelly Price. During the first episode Price came across as mother hen, but then, turned into Cruela Deville, about to slap the spots off of a bunch of unsuspecting Dalmatians.

Kelly Price

Price became the resident villain, which they say every story needs, but when it’s reality TV, this will spill over into real life, as one is not playing a character, but one’s self (for the world to see). Price is paying a price for her Mean Girl antics on the show, via public backlash. Each time the show aired after Price flipped out, she became one of the top trending items on Twitter. Price's counterpart on "R&B Divas Atlanta" Nicki Gilbert has also been hit with public criticism for her conduct on the show.

To be popular on a reality show, one does not have to be a villain. One can be smart, funny and candid. Nonetheless, one takes a risk signing on to a reality show one does not own or produce (and even then it can backfire). I was sent an email from a production company asking me to come in an audition for a reality show. My columns are candid and comedic, leading to them thinking I would be a good choice.

But then I'd turn on the TV and see some reality shows and balk at how people come across, who were on television going for broke for ratings. It wasn't until Braxton Family Values, Duck Dynasty (my fave) and Bullock Family Ranch that people on reality shows came across with civility, sanity and depth.

School Bullies Should Be Expelled To Save Lives

Mean Girls

10-year-old Ashlynn Conner went up to her bedroom and hung herself in the closet, after having faced another day of bullying at school from two classmates. Her parents were stunned at her death, not realizing the impact the torment at school was having on their child. Many children hide their problems from their parents, who should not feel guilty in such cases. Many of you growing up can remember problems you hid from your parents. Now that some of you are parents, you should think about using those insights to figure out what's going on with your children.

Some kids are beaten up and mercilessly mocked at school on a regular basis. Some teens have been subjected to terrible incidents, regarding nude photos or videos from their mobile phones being posted on the internet, leaving them embarrassed to the point they feel they cannot go on. These students need help and support to make it through school, lest these problems overwhelm them and result in suicide, as seen in a number of cases. This should be a national initiative.

Schools on a national level, via legislation from Congress, should adhere to a strict policy of anti-bullying rules, to protect children from killing themselves under the weight of abuse at school from other kids. Students who bully others, should face expulsion from school.

The threat of being kicked out of school would be incentive enough for many kids to stop this inappropriate behavior, as they do not want to be expelled. Schools should publicize their anti-bullying rules to students through posters on the walls and announcements throughout the year, clearly letting students know, if they cross the line and it is credibly proven, they are subject to expulsion and or criminal charges (this includes cyberstalking via email, social networking or texting).

I never bullied anyone in school and no one bullied me, but preteens and teens today are different. Some kids today are a little too advanced and growing up way too fast. They aspire to be "Mean Girls" as shown in the film of the same name, taking the wrong message from said film.

Then again, when they see the star of the movie, Lindsay Lohan, behaving so badly in her real life, getting into public fights, stalking and bullying people, cutting up in court and disrespecting everyone in sight, including sitting judges, it doesn't send a good message. There are a host of other teen films released over the past several years, geared towards boys and girls that encourage bullying, painting it as cool. There is nothing cool about kids being bullied to the point they seek suicide as a way out.

To kids being bullied that are reading this article, I recommend you tell your parents and or teacher at school. Keep things in perspective. Do not take your life. Focus on your education and try to think ahead to the future when you can successfully live your dreams in whatever profession you want to pursue in life. School is only for a time. As you get older, you are not going to care about what they thought about you in school, but what you made of your life once you got out. God loves you and God bless you.

Megan Fox To Hit Broadway In A Play

How Will It Turn Out

Megan Fox

"Transformers" actress, Megan Fox, known more for looks than being a thespian, is headed to Broadway for a play. Why? Are they giving out free Botox shots? Considering Fox's regional accent (LA) is more valley girl than Shakespearean in each movie, this should be funny interesting. Remember Megan, think Meryl Streep not Mean Girls.

Lindsay Lohan

Hollywood outcast, Lindsay Lohan, is being shunned by the entertainment industry. Her latest stint in rehab is coming to a close, with tinseltown questioning if he release will be more of the same terrible behavior.

Lohan has not taken sobriety seriously, unlike other addicts that have diligently tried to get back on their feet. Many are marking her by it. Lindsay Lohan Dropped From Another Movie

Lindsay Lohan

Frequently fired Kabbalah cult actress, Lindsay Lohan, has been dropped from another film. The drug addicted alcoholic was dumped from the "Mean Girls 2" film, with the predecessor having been her most successful film to date. ABC made a sequel to the film to be released on television and completely overlooked trouble prone, insurance adverse Lohan.

They went with younger, hungrier stars willing to show up on time and sober. Lindsay wasn't ready for her proverbial close-up. But don't cry Lindsay, there's always your next film (light bulb: exactly what is her next film?).

Megan Fox: I'm Not A Mean Girl

Megan Fox has been referred to on this website as a real live "Mean Girl" (like the movie). A few days ago, she did an interview stating she is not a "Mean Girl."

Considering she wasn't even in the movie and this site is the one that kept referring to her as such, I wonder why she said that (sarcasm).

Imagine that, of all the items to read on the site, she picks up on that one and conveniently overlooks the others about getting a publicist and a muzzle, as her mouth is killing her career.

Director Michael Bay has been strangely quiet in the face on the insults she has hurled his way. Maybe Megan knows too much of his business and he's scared of her mouth.

Megan Fox On High School: 'I Was Never The Mean Girl, I Was Always The Outcast'

Posted 9/4/09 7:30 pm ET - ..."I think I have been very vocal about the fact that I am outrageously insecure," Megan shared with a laugh. Despite often being portrayed in a mean girl light, Megan said she was not superficial or cruel like her onscreen counterpart, Jennifer. "I was never a mean girl," she emphasized. "No, I was always the outcast."

Who would have thought that of all people to leave Megan shaking in her boots, it would be a pack of teenage girls? But, she said even in her 20's, she still gets terrified when high school-aged females approach her...
