Lil Mama's Performances With TLC On The American Music Awards And Dancing With The Stars Upsetting Fans

After the death of rapper Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, the sales of music trio TLC hit the skids. The best selling girl group in American music history, soon called it a day shortly after her death when their subsequent album failed, helmed by the weak single "Girl Talk."

For years, the family of Lopes has fiercely opposed the group replacing Left Eye, which surviving members Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and Rozanda "Chilli" Thomas obliged. Therefore, it is a surprise to many this week to see rapper Lil Mama, who starred as Left Eye in the group's 2013 biopic "CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story" performing in her stead on "The American Music Awards" and "Dancing With The Stars."

The performances were not up to the level of the group's past appearances. T-Boz has been struggling with the debilitating disease Sickle Cell Anemia and it is affecting her performances. Lil Mama sticks out, because at the end of the day, the group's fans are going to repeatedly remember she is not Left Eye. Comments on social networking reveal the performances have not been well-received. It's not the same for many.

18-year-old pop singer Justin Bieber is having a nervous breakdown over career pressures and those in his love life. Bieber's conflicted over his feelings for his girlfriend of 2-years, actress Selena Gomez and Victoria Secret drawers model, Barbara Palvin.

Bieber is also under pressure from his record label, as his music sales have fallen by 70 percent, leading some to call him a one hit wonder. Another side effect of his fame is run-ins with the paparazzi and there have been many, which have led to legal proceedings.

Sunday night's American Music Awards saw Bieber criticized in the mainstream press for dedicating his award for Pop Artist of the Year to the haters who said he'd only be around for a couple years. The ratings for the telecast are the lowest on record.

However, when a man keeps sending a woman invites and pulling strings in the industry to help further her career, that's not stalking. But, when a singer, Rihanna, becomes obsessed with a lesser known woman who is starting her career, Tran and writes "f*** your amatuer modeling" in reference to her and invokes nasty racial slurs about said woman's ethnic background, that says she is jealous and feels threatened.

Let's not forget, a few months ago, Rihanna was seen bawling over Brown like a baby, during an interview with Oprah Winfrey. So basically, she is angry the self-professed love of her life is stuck on a chick he refuses to stop seeing. Meanwhile, Brown is enjoying the attention and Tran is laughing all the way to the bank, while Rihanna loses face with the public.

Duchess Camilla of Cornwall (Britain), wife of Prince Charles of Wales, has slammed modern artists such as Beyonce, for the lewd and violent imagery in their videos. I agree, as it is not helping anyone.

Case in point, for all the lascivious and violent publicity stunts that took place at the American Music Awards this past Sunday, a fully clothed and docile Whitney Houston delivered the best performance.

11:42 AM on 27th November 2009 - Concerned Camilla: The Duchess of Cornwall listens to the story of a client at the Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre in London last night. The Duchess of Cornwall yesterday spoke for the first time about the way youngsters are sexualised by explicit rap videos.

Camilla was taking part in a discussion with victims of sexual violence during a visit to a rape crisis centre when the topic turned to how music videos affect teenagers today. She told an audience of women that children thought they could get away with things because teachers failed to punish them.

Referring to the images children are exposed to, the Duchess said: 'A lot of those videos are terrifying. 'I am sure they trigger a response in some of the young people. I can never understand how they can get away with making those things.'

During the discussions, the subject turned to a controversial video by pop singer Beyonce, who is particularly popular with young girls.

American Music Awards Were Dark And Lewd

I didn't watch the American Music Awards this year, but I read about the highlights today and just as I thought, the show was debauched and depraved. The show received 1,500 complaints.

Once again, Hollywood lowered the moral tone for the world, via a lewd and dark showing, which was uncharacteristic for the program. One expects craziness like that from the VMAs not the AMAs.

The show disgracefully featured "American Idol" star Adam Lambert dressed in goth gear, kissing a man on stage and simulating oral sex with him...during family viewing hours.

Once again, Hollywood is Sodom and Gomorrah 2.0 - and the nation and the world has not been made better for it.

Millions of viewers saw Lambert simulate oral sex with a back-up dancer, plant a passionate kiss on the mouth of a male keyboard player and gesture to the audience with his middle finger during the closing act of the live music awards show.

Lambert, 27, said his goal was "not to piss people off, it was to promote freedom of expression and artistic freedom".

ABC cut the most controversial part of his act -- Lambert rubbing the face of a male dancer in his crotch -- from the U.S. West Coast telecast that aired later on Sunday...
