14-Year-Old Christian Girl From Pakistan Granted Asylum In Canada After Being Framed For A Crime She Did Not Commit And Facing The Death Penalty

14-year-old Pakistani girl, Rimsha Masih, has been granted asylum in Canada, after her neighbor lied to officials stating she had burned the pages of the Islamic book the Qu'ran, making her eligible for execution. After death threats and arrest, Masih was found to be innocent. The Canadian government has graciously granted Masih and her family asylum in Canada, where they have begun a new life. Rimsha is now going to school in Canada, something forbidden by terrorists groups in Pakistan, who also tried to murder 15-year-old Malala Yousufzai for seeking an education. Everyone in society should be free to pursue an education. Women are not property, but people entitled to human rights.
