Rupert Murdoch
[Article background: this is another in the series of phone hacking
articles the Judiciary Report has published, regarding a scandal I broke
first in October 2005, via a police
complaint I filed with the Metropolitan Police in London, England. 80
people have been arrested by the Metropolitan Police since the time I filed
the complaint. However, the Murdochs and other key conspirators remain free
and the FBI has not arrested anyone, though the
crimes began and continue in News Corp's New York headquarters]
Beleaguered News Corp CEO, Rupert Murdoch, is facing the closure
of a second of his papers. The News Of The World was shuttered because of the
terrible phone hacking scandal. Now Murdoch is closing online paper The Daily
because, well, no one cares. Suck eggs Murdoch.
The Daily, an iPad based paper, was opened in February 2011, but
has not garnered enough public interest to make it a viable business. In short,
The Daily has been costing Murdoch money, which is all he cares about in life.
Therefore, 170 employees could be fired if positions can't be found for them at
another News Corp entity.
