Courtney Stodden Is Trying To Be The New Pamela Lee And It's Not Working

Courtney Stodden and husband Doug Hutchinson. It's hard to believe she is the same age as singer Justin Bieber.

17-year-old Courtney Stodden, began dating 51-year-old "Lost" actor, Doug Hutchison, over a year ago and the two got married recently under a umbrella of controversy. Since she was 16-years of age, scantily clad Stodden has been posting almost pornographic photos on Facebook, seeking to break into the entertainment industry. She was trying to be the new Pamela Anderson, constantly dressing like her.

It drew the ire of many moms online, who made so many complaints, Facebook kept banning her. Stodden's mom chalked it up to jealousy, but I can understand why mom's were concerned. Her photos were almost child porn, as the public photos featured her wearing bikinis that could double as g-strings.

That's not appropriate for a 16-year-old girl. Stodden has left very little to the imagination and sexualizing minors is a terrible idea. It breeds sex crimes. Other young girls have been trying to emulate her look, which is not a good thing.

Stodden marrying a man nearly three times her age caused additional controversy. She needed her mom's signature to marry, as she is underage. Many people are not accepting it. Some have branded her fame hungry and using her husband to become an actress and singer in Hollywood, but it is not working.

Courtney two years ago before the raunchiness, is a pretty, wholesome looking girl. She also looked her age, which she does not anymore.

Many outlets have passed on proposed shows and projects involving her, as people are not warming to her story and do not want their kids exposed to it. The Lolita image is working against her. She would have been more successful had she worn more clothes and not married someone 34-years her senior.

Movie Review: The Green Hornet

Title: The Green Hornet

Year Of Release: 2011

Review Date: October 31, 2011

Rating: PG-13

Running time: 108 minutes

Box Office Gross: $227,817, 248

Site Rating: 1 out of 10 stars

Family Warning: contains a lot of unnecessary violence and bad language

"Green Hornet" is possibly one of the worst superhero movies ever. An expensive mess. Drivel that just goes on and on. A complete waste of a big budget. It is one of the most tedious films I have ever watched. I kept falling asleep during the movie, then waking back up and having to rewind it to the last part of the movie I remember seeing and no not because of my allergy medicine (I didn't take any that day) but because the film was boring and nonsensical. Yes, it was that weird.

The movie is about a lazy young man, Britt Reid, who inherits his dad's fortune and decides to become a superhero. Hardly original. Seth Rogen was the weakest link in this film. What should have been a good action role, was turned into unfunny jokes, gross out moments and irritating ideas that did not pan out, pardon the pun. Rogen's character was irritating like the lead in Arthur, but less likable.

Jay Chou was good as his sidekick and butler, Kato, adding some texture to the film, with a sensible character, but it was not enough to make this movie work. This is how Hollywood sucks people in. You think "A superhero movie, oh cool!" then you watch it and it's like, "Oh no! I want the past two hours of my life back!"

Movie Review: Across the Line: The Exodus of Charlie Wright

Title: Across the Line: The Exodus of Charlie Wright

Year Of Release: 2010

Review Date: October 31, 2011

Rating: R

Running time: 110 minutes

Box Office Gross: $227,817, 248

Site Rating: 3 out of 10 stars

Family Warning: contains violence and bad language

A ponzi schemer named Charlie Wright flees to Mexico (why didn't Madoff think of that) with billions of dollars in clients' money (Madoff didn't think of that either) to hide from the law in America, regarding his dirty financial dealings. He goes on a wild goose chase in Tijuana along the way, with the authorities following him seeking to make an arrest.

Wright is an obsessive man, who looks like an alcoholic (hey, who better to manage your money than a drunk, after all, what could go wrong). While the cast of this film was strong, this movie was too dark and sad to be enjoyable, with a resolution that doesn't exactly scream justice. I am not a fan of such films.

Relic Revealing A Picture Of Jesus And Mary

A relic has been unearthed in Israel, revealing a portrait of Jesus and Mary on a small book. The find is quite remarkable and its survival after all this time just as great. A number of impressive archaeological relics supporting the Bible have been found in Israel and I hope it is a tradition that will continue.

Harold Camping Apologies For False Prophecies Regarding The Rapture

Harold Camping

Radio broadcaster, Harold Camping, has done the right thing, in apologizing for the false prophecies he twice issued this year, regarding the rapture and return of Jesus. It led to some making jokes about him in the mainstream press. Camping repeatedly prophesied what day the event would transpire and was wrong each time.

Compendius is of the view, one is not to do such things, as it is not in line with the integrity of the Bible. Camping openly went against the Bible, where it is stated no one knows the exact moment of Christ's return. Camping should refrain from making such prophecies in the future. The Bible indicates the way to know a true prophet is the things said prophet prophecies, not guesses, happens.

The main principles the Lord wants people to take from the Bible is living life to the fullest in a decent way, like each day is your last, becoming a better person and following in His ways, through placing one's faith in Jesus and following his example of integrity. He also wants people to change their unethical behavior.

Most would agree, the world would be a much better place if people were faithful to each other in marriage (not breaking each others' hearts), refrained from violence and abuse, told the truth and did not steal from others, depriving them of their property, to name a few.
