In the world of government intelligence and spying, the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) far outstrips the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation). The CIA are known for being stealth, as well as troublingly clandestine, brutal and ruthless, while getting the desired results.

However, the FBI is known for wasting taxpayer money, missing opportunities to solve major crimes and repeatedly breaking the law, in and outside the United States of America, to gain an undue advantage, yet failing anyway. Go figure. Both agencies cost the U.S. taxpayers a bundle, yet only one is producing tangible results, which begs the question, why is the latter still in existence.
