Oscar Committee Changed Its Mind About "Jonah Hex"

Weeks ago, many reports indicated the box office bomb "Jonah Hex" was going to be nominated for an Oscar. Of course, the Judiciary Report rationally, sensibly and maturely protested this decision two weeks ago by stating the Academy Awards committee must be "smoking crack."

Note to self: If you see the cast or crew of "Jonah Hex" approaching...turn around and walk the other way (still smirking).

One time "Transformers" actress, Megan Fox, has snagged another Razzie nomination for bad acting, thanks to her participation in the flopped film "Jonah Hex." She starred as a prostitute, opposite Josh Brolin, who was slammed for his work in the film as well.

Even though Fox was born in the Southern part of America, the duo received a nomination for the worst on screen pairing, due to her "accent" and the make-up he wore. The accent was a little too pronounced and it made it come across as inauthentic. Fox has been living in Hollywood too long and lost her Southern drawl.

I don't know why they didn't just get non-acting, self-professed, so-called singer and actress, Madonna to play Jonah - she has the Adam's Apple, crazy maddog expression, kookiness and botox gone bad look that makes Hex look pretty and sane by comparison. And if there's one thing Madonna knows how to do is terrorize innocent people (yes, she's still putting people up to harassing me).

"Jonah Hex" is a terrible, violent and sadistic film, with traces of the occult. It stars "Transformers" former lead actress, Megan Fox and actor, Josh Brolin. The movie sacrilegiously plays off the crucifixion of Christ and has many inappropriate themes.

Brolin stars as Jonah Hex, who killed his friend and ended up facing the anger of said comrade's dad, Quentin Turnbull. Hex's family is burned to death by Turnbull, he is stripped of all material possessions and left to hang on a cross for days, with his face disfigured from a facial branding with a hot iron. Hex then seeks revenge for the wrongs he suffered at the hands of Quentin Turnbull.

I can see why this movie flopped. It wasn't very good and is very derivative of more modern works. It got so dark and depressing in certain places, it really did not make you want to watch the rest of it. Megan Fox has once again picked a bad film to be apart of, which is not doing her career any favors. Do yourself a favor and skip this movie.

Why "Jonah Hex" Bombed

The Warner Bros./DC Comic film "Jonah Hex" bombed in a massive way at the North American box office this past weekend. Several weeks ago, the Judiciary Report, unimpressed with the initial synopsis and promo photos, realized it was a failure in the making (Will Jonah Hex Sustain Megan Fox's Career). Why Warner Bros didn't come to this conclusion is a mystery.

The studio dumped over $80 million dollars into the film and took a bath when it debuted with $5,000,000 performing even lower than its initial projections this past Saturday, June 19, 2010. The film suffered from poor casting choices and a boring take on the story.

What this will mean for Megan Fox is a lower film fee for future movies, as she has had two massive bombs in a row with Jonah Hex this year and "Jennifer's Body" last year.

Based on pre-release descriptions, the poorly promoted, R-Rated movie "Jonah Hex" would have been more aptly titled "Jonah Sex" as it features salacious scenes between Megan Fox and Josh Brolin.

The film appears to be a raunchy "Back To The Future 3" reboot, but without the quality. Considering, Megan Fox's inability to act, which has been noted by dozens of prominent critics, once again, she is clearly in a film as eye candy. It defeats the purpose of acting or singing, when the performer can't do what is in their job title and description.

"Red Sonja" is a twisted, dark comic book film with actress Rose McGowan attached to star in it, as the so-called "She-devil with a sword." It's a disgusting demographic and one filmmakers have struggled to get off the ground for years, to poor public reception.

Since Megan Fox's only ability on screen in pouting and scowling in skimpy clothes, many believe she is right for the role. How sad. Is this what movie making has come to now.
