Edward Snowden
Brave American whistle blower, Edward Snowden is stuck in a Russian
airport, after the Obama Administration revokes his passport. Many of
Snowden's asylum applications to other nations have been denied, as
select nations are stating it is their policy is one must be on their
soil to receive said legal status. The Obama Administration is putting
economic and military pressure on other nations to deny Snowden's
application for asylum. The administration has done it before in other
matters.
Thus far, Venezuela has been the most responsive to Snowden's
request for asylum. Russia has been responsive as well, but offered
Snowden asylum with the requirement he must desist activities against
the "United States" government. Snowden does have the option
of giving all the NSA documents revealing the government violating the
Constitution, to Wikileaks and moving on with his life.
Snowden's father floated the idea of him returning to the U.S. under
certain circumstances, but the Judiciary Report is of the belief there
woudl be problems. Even if he received a pardon, as a White House
petition by the people overwhelmingly demanded, there would still be
trouble. While the American people would embrace Snowden, the
government would engage the FBI, CIA, IRS, NSA and Homeland Security to
go after him with the intent of quietly ruining his life at every turn.
Nonetheless, the Judiciary Report wishes Mr. Snowden well, commends
his bravery and hopes he will find a new home, a new life and one with
happiness soon.
