The Law Has Caught Up With Former Premier Michael Misick The Ex-Husband Of Actress Lisa Raye

Actress Lisa Raye and husband, former Premier, Michael Misick

This is a follow up to the April 13. 2009 Judiciary Report article "Lisa Raye Slams Misick And Turks And Caicos." Former Turks And Caicos Premier, Michael Misick, was arrested in Brazil this month, after fleeing his homeland under a cloud of suspicion, regarding corruption and financial theft. Misick, who married Hollywood actress, Lisa Raye, in a union that ended in disaster, has been plagued by claims he stole the state money of the people of Turks and Caicos, a lovely island in the Caribbean.

Misick was also accused of illegally seizing and developing state land as his own. It has been said he went into office with $5,000 in his bank account, but his wife made claims that she is entitled to a big chunk of the $120,000,000 he has stashed in offshore accounts. Both Misick and Raye are in the wrong in their financial dealings in this matter.

As a result of the couple's chronic six figure shopping sprees and expensively chartered private jets on the people's dime, the Turks And Caicos went into financial distress, which was then worsened by the global financial crisis that began on Wall Street. The British government then made the move to return the island to colony status and take over governmental administrative duties.

Misick isn't the only one in trouble. In an unrelated case, the Premier of the Cayman Islands, McKeeva Bush, has been arrested for misuse of a government credit card. As the financial crisis continues in the world, people have become more concerned about where state money is going.

26 Dead And $48 Billion In Damage Due To Hurricane Irene

Thousands Homeless And Millions Without Electricity

Massive hurricane Irene, which slowly churned over the East Coast of America, moving through multiple states, has left 21 people dead and approximately $45 billion dollars in damage in the United States, due to flooding, damaged buildings and economic shutdowns. Over 4,000,000 people have been left without electricity and for some it will be two weeks before it returns.

The hurricane left 5 people dead in the Caribbean and created roughly $3 billion dollars in damage to the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Turks and Caicos and the Dominican Republic. Tens of thousands of people have been left homeless. It has become one of the costliest hurricanes in history. The hurricane is said to be heading towards Canada.

U.S. President Barack Obama

The U.S. government is warning people to be vigilant in the coming days, as the swelling of rivers in America could mean additional flooding. A few prominent individuals mocked the seriousness of the hurricane as overblown, but any storm that leaves over two dozen casualties and nearly $50 billion in damage is serious.

As someone that has lived through 5 hurricanes, including Andrew, I can attest, it is not something to be taken lightly. After hurricane Wilma, there was no electricity for two weeks, which was an unpleasant experience and not just due to having no internet or regular television service, but the pervasive darkness. Still, others have had it worse (see: Hurricane Katrina).

Lisa Raye: The Real McCoy

Warning: contains some inappropriate language that is beeped out, but not enough for you not to know what they said!

Lisa Raye McCoy has debut her new reality show titled "The Real McCoy" and it does not paint her in a flattering light. McCoy is a Hollywood actress that had a few minor film roles and co-starred on a sitcom that was moderately successful.

She then met and married Michael Misick, then Premier of Turks and Caicos, located in the Caribbean. She admits it was a business marriage and not one of love. Together, they overspent the people's money to the tune of $20,000,000, which ended in Britain returning the island to colony status, a move that was not welcome in the Caribbean or by CARICOM.

Lisa Rae McCoy and Michael Misick

McCoy states Misick told her he had $180,000,000, which is stunning considering the British government reports he went into office with $15,000 - $50,000 in his bank account.

There were reports of frequent shopping trips by the First Couple, where they dropped $100,000 minimum during each spending spree, purchasing the finest clothes and jewelry money can buy. She flew in her Hollywood friends to the island on private jets at $50,000 per trip. The couple took expensive vacations and bought real estate all over the world, all out of the people's money, leading to the financial ruination of the nation.

Misick lost his footing and began living like a rich movie star. He even began dressing like Scarface, with a cigar hanging out of his mouth, rather than a Prime Minister.

One of Raye's friends she brought to meet Misick, who is the co-host of B.E.T.'s 106 & Park, had an affair with the Premier behind her back, infuriating McCoy.

Turks and Caicos is a beautiful place with so much economic potential, but rather that building on what the nation has in its favor, Misick became sidetracked through questionable financial choices he made and it led to the collapse of the government.

Kai (Lisa Rae's daughter), Lisa Raye McCoy and sister Da Brat (incarcerated rapper)

Now McCoy is back in Hollywood and almost broke. Misick is up on corruption charges in Turks and Caicos and McCoy is still clinging to the title of First Lady in restarting her career, even comparing herself to U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama. Sorry, but Mrs. Obama would not have said, "I have a new leash on life" during a radio broadcast.

The reality show The Real McCoy is at times very awkward to watch. You see a woman financially struggling to come back to earth, after living like a queen. Her eyes water like an onion is present, at news from Al Sharpton and a lawyer, who inform her, there is no money to get out of Misick and his creditors may pursue her. McCoy in turn asks if she can beat Misick up to get the money...which isn't even his to begin with, as it belongs to Turks and Caicos.

McCoy is very haughty in this reality series and it does her no favors. Her daughter is definitely her best accomplishment, as she is a beautiful girl that speaks well and carries herself with a humility that translates well on screen. She could learn something from her daughter.

Rapper Eve Under Investigation For Money Laundering

Eve

Bisexual rapper, Eve, of the U.S. state Pennsylvania, was mentioned today in a U.S. Senate hearing on money laundering, as it was discovered during the course of a three year federal probe that has just come to light, she washed money for her 38-year-old African boyfriend, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue.

Nguema, allegedly laundered tens of millions of dollars stolen from the people of the nation his dad heads, Equatorial Guinea, in criminal acts that fund their lavish lifestyle. His dad is president Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.

Any funds that move through the U.S. banking system, gained via criminal activity, whether it be physical violence or white collar crime, is illegal and a felony known as money laundering.

It was stated in Congress today, Eve and two Arizona lawyers, helped Nguema launder money via a shell company called "Sweet Pink." He spent $25,000,000 of his oil rich nation's funds to buy a mansion in Malibu. He also purchased a fleet of luxury cars, which include two Bentleys, a Range Rover, a Bugatti Veyron and a Maserati. Additional funds were used to establish a hip hop record label for Eve and others named TNO Entertainment. Her forthcoming album "Lip Lock" is scheduled to hit shelves shortly.

Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue

It is being said Eve has lived a life of luxury in America with the foreign head of state's son, even taking a $700,000 Christmas vacation on Paul Allen's yacht the two rented. When pressed for a response regarding these terrible claims, Eve's rep refused to answer.

This story is reminiscent of actress Lisa Raye and her husband, Michael Misick, who misappropriated $20,000,000 of government money from Turks and Caicos' coffers, taking the nation into financial ruin and receivership, whilst launching the island back decades into colonial status under Britain.

I find it hard to believe these women did not know the lavish lifestyles they were living, came at the price of struggling poor people of small nations. Nowhere in the world, with the exception of Saudi Arabia and a handful of other such nations, can those in office legally live in such luxury off government money. However, seeking money and numerous luxuries, they close their eyes to the blatant corruption staring them in the face. God punishes such misconduct, as it is done at the expense of the poor and infirmed.

EVE NAMED IN MONEY LAUNDERING INVESTIGATION

Rapper EVE has been linked to a multi-million dollar money laundering investigation centred around her on/off boyfriend TEODORIN NGUEMA.

Nguema, the son of Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, the president of Equatorial Guinea, is under observation by authorities for a number of money transfers made between several U.S. bank accounts.

According to ABC News, Eve's name is mentioned in the massive U.S. Senate investigation, which has been under wraps for the past three years.

Nguema is alleged to have used lawyer friends, real estate agents and the rap star to set up shell companies in the States, through which he then wired cash to fund his lavish lifestyle, including the purchase of a mansion in Malibu, California...

Rapper Eve Has Cameo in New U.S. Senate Investigation on Foreign Corruption

Report Finds Money Laundering Loopholes Allowing 'Suspect' Funds into U.S.

Feb. 4, 2010 - The hip-hop star known as Eve, who is expected to release a new rap album this year, has been drawn into a massive U.S. Senate investigation into the illicit movement of millions of foreign dollars through the American financial system, a new government report shows.

Senate investigators spent three years tracking money flowing into the U.S. from the accounts of her on-and-off again boyfriend Teodorin Nguema Obiang. He is the playboy son of President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo of Equatorial Guinea, the corrupt dictator whose three-decade reign has been marked by rumors -- believed to be falsely spread to incite fear -- of cannibalism. Investigators believe most, if not all, of the millions in cash came from corruption related to the massive oil and gas reserves off the coast of the tiny West African country...
