PBS Is Underfunded
PBS
PBS (Public Broadcasting Service) is a free channel in
America that airs great programming on the arts, history and
culture. It is also a channel of an educational nature. PBS regularly runs
fundraising drives requesting public donations to keep the
network afloat. It’s a shame
that a channel that provides such a useful and beneficial
service to the public is in need of funds.
The government wastes
billions of dollars spying on Americans and foreign allies, while worthwhile
causes such as PBS, have to ask the public for money to stay
afloat. PBS should be given the money it needs by the
government, as many young and old minds alike are being educated
by the programming.
