Prominent Political Pundit Concludes As The Site Previously Did The War In Iraq Hindering Obama's Planned Military Action In Syria (Video)

In the September 2, 2013 article "Obama Seeks Congressional Clearance On Bombing Syria" the Judiciary Report stated, "Many are skeptical of Obama's planned military action, due to former President George W. Bush having lied to the nation and the world about Iraq and weapons of mass destruction, then invading, which resulted in over 1,000,000 deaths."

Two days later on September 4, 2013, prominent political pundit, George Carville, concluded the same during a Fox News interview with Bill O'Reilly. Carville stated during the interview, "You know, what I would say and maybe a little bit of a different view here. I think what really is freaking people out is the incompetence of the Bush administration in Iraq." O'Reilly responded, "You're going to blame Bush?" Carville then stated, "Of course, the Iraq thing is why people have so much trepidation about going into Syria. They said the last time we went over there, look what happened. I really think this has something to do with it."

I am not a liberal (Carville is however). I am a conservative, due to being a Christian. Therefore, I state in all frankness, former President Bush did the government a great disservice in the brazen misrepresentations and lies that surrounded the lead up to the Iraq war. He made it seem as if the whole world was in danger.

Barack Obama and his cabinet

As a result, people in America and the world are very skeptical of the government in regard to military action of any kind. Many of us feel duped, like we were taken for a ride regarding Bush's proclamations about Iraq and "Weapons of Mass Destruction" which turned out to be untrue. As a result, many are now skeptical of Obama's claims regarding Syria.

This should not become a political issue, but a human rights matter. As stated in the aforementioned article "Obama Seeks Congressional Clearance On Bombing Syria" the question is will more people die from military action in Syria than have already passed away due to alleged chemical weapons use against the defenseless in Syria. People do not want another war in Iraq on Syrian grounds.

In closing certain members of the Syrian government need to stop with the verbal provocations in the press, branding Obama's delay in military action a victory. People all over the world are begging for your lives to be spared in Syria, because if the U.S. military strikes the Syrian army will not win. Don't even kid yourself about that one. Stop the bragging. A wise and intelligent head of state must use logic and rationale in their decisions, seeking the greater good and least amount of damage to society. As the phrase goes, don't let your mouth write a check your butt cannot cash. It's not cowardice, but common sense.

Carville: People Are Freaking Out About Syria Because Of Bush And Iraq

Posted on September 4, 2013

BILL O'REILLY: I think you've got to take emotion out of the equation. I see a lot of that emotion. I mean, Barbara Boxer, for example, would never support an action against Syria if Mitt Romney were president. Never in a million years. The only reason she is doing it is to help Obama.

On the other side, you have Republicans -- Ronald Reagan, if he were president, would get Assad like that. He would. He would get Assad. And you would have most conservatives line up against -- for Ronald Reagan, in support of Ronald Reagan. But the element here, Carville, is that many people think that Barack Obama is incompetent and he can't -- he can't do this....

O'REILLY: I'm not sure that's a litmus test, it doesn't seem to be any clear vision on the part of President Obama. He doesn't have -- 'here is what I want.' He doesn't have that.

CARVILLE: You know, what I would say and maybe a little bit of a different view here. I think what really is freaking people out is the incompetence of the Bush administration in Iraq.

O'REILLY: You're going to blame Bush?

CARVILLE: Of course, the Iraq thing is why people have so much trepidation about going into Syria. They said the last time we went over there, look what happened. I really think this has something to do with it.
