John Boehner and Barack Obama
U.S. President Barack Obama has rejected the fiscal cliff proposal by leading
Republican, John Boehner, with threats of a veto. Support for the proposal has
not been strong enough for members of Congress to successfully vote and end the
impasse. This is a real letdown at Christmas, as many hoped the issue would be
resolved for the holidays.
