Basketball Wives
As mentioned recently, reality star, Evelyn Lozada and her fiancé,
Chad Ochcocinco Johnson, were rejected from three top wedding venues in
Miami, as the establishments feared the fist fights and shenanigans that
accompany the show "Basketball Wives." Johnson was even dropped
from the New England Patriots football team in the NFL, after a mere months
on the team (he has since signed with the Miami Dolphins)

Has it finally come home to the cast, especially producer
and star, Shaunie O'Neal, that "Basketball Wives" has cultivated
a bad image for the cast and black women on the whole. With so many
negative shows on television portraying black people in an unflattering
light, it would have been helpful had shows like "Basketball
Wives" and "Real Housewives of Atlanta" been more
positive.

Yes, the catfights and cruel, contentious arguments bring
in ratings, but it is not the best kind. That's people watching for all
the wrong reasons and walking away with a bad impression. All the women on
the aforementioned show are beautiful and smart. There was no need to
resort to this, as it has created a Jerry Springer Show atmosphere.
