When interviewed on the red carpet at the MTV Movie Awards, about the racy photos that were snapped and published by the paparazzi, featuring the two sexually groping and French kissing each other on a Hawaii beach, Gomez's face turned sad and she struggled to find words to answer the question. She looked like she wanted to cry.

Some of Bieber's fans have been publicly calling Gomez "pedo" short for "pedophile" for engaging in such sexually charged conduct, with a boy considered a minor under the law. Inside the MTV Movie Awards, things didn't get much better for Gomez. The show's host, Jason Sudeikis, joked during his televised monologue that Gomez was so frisky with Bieber on the beach she, "Swallowed three of his baby teeth. Don't want you to choke." Oh that's embarrassing. Gomez held her head down, shamed by the joke, while the audience erupted in laughter.
