IMF Chief Accused Of Rape Resigns

IMF Chief and politician, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, has been indicated on rape charges, over a sexual assault incident involving a Guinea maid at the Sofitel Hotel in New York. In the wake of the charges, Strauss-Kahn has resigned his post as head of the International Monetary Fund.

He was initially denied bail, but a new judge in the case has granted the reprieve with the provision he remain on house arrest in Manhattan pending trial. If convicted of the charges, 62-year-old Strauss-Kahn could spend the remainder of his natural life behind bars.
