U.S. President Barack Obama gave a speech regarding the State of the Union that was well received by members of Congress. However, the reality is unemployment, foreclosures, business closures and national debt continue to rise. Until he is able to tame and correct the aforementioned problems plaguing the economy, the nation will continue its downward slide.
