The Tea Party "More Powerful" Than Obama

U.S. President Barack Obama: I'm gonna put the Tea Party in hot water!

The U.S. Tea Party movement, headed up by former Alaska Governor and Vice Presidential candidate, Sarah Palin, is said to be "more powerful" than U.S. President Barack Obama. The Tea Party's rise to prominence in the press happened overnight, due to angry Americans alarmed about the direction of the country.

President Obama and the Democrats, did not take the Tea Party seriously at first, but now hope to neutralize them in some manner. However, the Tea Party have received so much publicity and support, they've become apart of the American political landscape.

Many are waiting with baited breath to view the outcome of the November 2010 mid-term elections, as the Tea Party has already changed the dynamic within the GOP, via poll victories that were unexpected.

Democrats are wondering if they are next in line for a Tea Party trouncing. Ironically, the Tea Party has used a grassroots campaign to gain an advantage in politics, much like Obama did when he was elected President in 2008.

Who would have predicted this a year ago? Certainly not the complacent army of White House spin doctors who have failed to grasp, let alone acknowledge, the momentous political transformation that is sweeping America. CNN’s latest poll confirms that the Tea Party movement has more political clout than the President of the United States in influencing voters during this November’s mid-terms. While just 37 percent of Americans are more likely to vote for a candidate if backed by Barack Obama, a far larger 50 percent will vote for a Tea-Party endorsed candidate.
