Obama Blames BP For Everything

U.S. President Barack Obama

With his approval ratings in decline and people labeling the BP oil spill his Hurricane Katrina fiasco, U.S. President Barack Obama is blaming BP for everything.

There is also concerns about anti-British sentiments over the issue. At the end of the day, BP, a British company, contracted an American company, Halliburton, in addition to Transocean, to dig and operate the oil well that ruptured with the rig exploding, resulting in the worst spill in U.S. history.

BP CEO, Tony Hayward

Blaming any nation is counter-productive and not going to solve the problem. It is a regrettable tragedy, but the focus needs to be on getting a tourniquet on the broken well, containing the spill and vacuuming up the oil floating in the sea before it spreads any further.
