The Lure Of Lucre

New Developments In The Michael Jackson Case

First Person: Doctor Explains How Diprivan Works

There are several new developments in the investigation regarding the death of pop singer, Michael Jackson. Jackson's former nurse stated the coroner told her Michael was "a drug addict." By his own public admission, almost 15-years ago, he had a problem with prescription drugs that he clearly did not conquer.

Jackson had too many enablers and yes men around him and it cost him his life. It doesn't matter who you are in life, we all need someone that will us the truth if we go astray.

Police continue to target Jackson's last doctor, Conrad Murray. He and several of Jackson's past doctors, for well over two decades, behaved inappropriately in prescribing him drugs they should not have, as it was outside their area of practice and dangerous in said quantities.

Jackson's dermatologist, Arnold Klein, should not have prescribed Demerol for him either, as what does that have to do with skin care.

An anesthesiologist affiliated with Klein is also under investigation for putting Jackson under anesthetic for procedures that do not require it.

Mr. Murray is in financial straits, which explains, but does not justify, his criminally negligence conduct, in administering the potent drug, Propofol, without a license and outside of a hospital setting. It was reportedly a habit Jackson engaged in for two years.

The mortgage for his rambling Las Vegas home is in arrears to the tune of $15,000. His medical practice was also hit with over $450,000 in medical claims. His partner faced serious medical board issues, as their practice was described as a "pill mill" prior to Jackson becoming a client.

Murray's medical certification also expired in December 2008 and was not renewed. He previously faced suspensions from a Houston hospital for misconduct in not turning over patient files.

Clearly the lure of lucre tempted him into violating his ethics time and time again, landing him in this predicament regarding Jackson.

A good doctor will not overmedicate you. A good doctor will not overcharge you. And most of all - a good doctor knows when to tell the patient no.

The glare of fame has seduced many a doctor and lawyer into making very poor decisions that in some cases turned deadly for clients and other members of the public.

Hollywood is a hedonistic town where its famous denizens and executives believe, they are to have anything they desire without consequence. However, the rules of the universe God put in place, such as biology, physics and the spiritual laws of life, are suspended for no one.

The prescription pill culture has been alive and not so well in Hollywood for decades. They even joke about it in films and on sitcoms, but it is no laughing matter.

This story is also a sad reminder of what happens when fame and lecherous people cause others to shut their families out, who would furnish them with some objectivity and honesty.

Megan Fox Banned On The Internet

Megan Fox has her own day, August 4th, 2009, but it is not exactly an honor. A number of male websites, tired of the mean girl, decided to call for a one day ban on all things Megan Fox.

Her 15 minutes of fame is running out, mostly due to the things she says, her skanky and odd dress sense and the cosmetic surgery she has undergone that is changing her face.

I cannot promise my support during this blackout, as she may do something really, well, ridiculous, saying something very outlandish, on the 3rd or 4th. She might say something Paris-Hilton-esque such as, "London is not in the UK" and I'm not gonna let that slide (LOL).

Translation in webmaster speak: my "Megan is vapid" posts bring in alot of website hits. I'm sorry, I'm addicted to website hits/unique-users, like Beyonce is addicted to weaves and like Rihanna is addicted to backhands from Chris Brown, or else, why would she go back to him. I can't help you with this blackout (LOL).

Rihanna And Chris Brown Still Too Close For Comfort

Pigheaded singers, Chris Brown and Rihanna, are still too stubborn for their own good, dining perilously close to each other in Manhattan, once again, testing the judge's restraining order.

Remember that restraining order?

VIDEO: Coincidence? Rihanna & Chris Brown Dine Across Street From Each Other

Posted on Jul 29, 2009 @ 08:08AM - Coincidence? Rihanna and Chris Brown, despite a restraining order imposed on the latter which requires at least 50 yards of distance, broke bread on the opposite sides of Broadway in New York City at the same time, leaving speculation that the pair's recent close brushes with one another may not be an accident...

Kelly Clarkson v. Beyonce

Kelly Clarkson

Sony singers and thieves, Kelly Clarkson and Beyonce Knowles, are fighting over a derivative dance music beat, one the former claims she had before the latter, used on the higher charting song "Halo." Beyonce singing about halos is hilarious. Someone that evil should be singing about horns not halos.

Beyonce Knowles

Side Bar: Clive Davis already hated Kelly Clarkson from their last public scrap, therefore, I'm really not of the opinion he cares what happens to her flatlined career anymore and Beyonce was always a problem with the multiple theft and fraud lawsuits. He always knew she wouldn't be the next Whitney, but the next Britney, trendy, but crazy, troublesome and selfish.

Trouble between Kelly Clarkson and label?

11:13 am July 29, 2009, by Rodney Ho - Perez Hilton is fanning the flames after Kelly Clarkson complained that the single “Already Gone” was released without her approval. His twist is that the label said it would not support the album anymore if “Already Gone” wasn’t released so she relented.

True or not, I do appreciate Kelly’s honesty and her need to control her own destiny. But there are consequences to airing dirty laundry.

So far, the single is not getting much traction on top 40 radio that I can tell.

Ryan Tedder, the songwriter who gave identical song samples to both Beyonce and Kelly Clarkson, responded on his MySpace page in part, then took it down. You can read what he said on MJ’s blog.

Ciara Slammed By Her Hairstylist

Ciara

This economic downturn is making people grumpy. Shirlena Allen, the hairstylist for Sony artist Ciara, whose current album bombed, slammed her client online this week, for wearing a wig and contact lenses, apart of a look she designed for her...a year ago. The stylist took the untimely conduct very personally. She referred to Ciara as being one year behind the trend. Ouch!

Rihanna

Well, what does that say for Rihanna, as the yellow eyes and chopped up black wig is the look she ripped off and adapted from labelmate FeFe Dobson.

Side Bar: is it a coincidence that 50 Cent dropped Ciara right as her album dropped and flopped.

STYLIST UPSET OVER CIARA'S NEW LOOK

R&B star CIARA's new cropped look has landed the singer in a lot of trouble with her ex-stylist. Shirlena Allen insists the Goodies hitmaker's hot new hairdo is all thanks to a wig Ciara has yet to return to her - and the style queen is still awaiting payment for her work on the singer's image a year ago.

In a furious email to website Bossip.com, Allen rages, "The wig used and work (done) on the photo shoot, she (Ciara) doesn’t even want to pay me for it. She’s a year behind all of it.

"I ask for the wig back a year ago, she says she cant find it (sic)." Ciara posted her 'new' look on her Twitter.com page, and Allen is demanding credit.

She adds, "We spent hours trying to find this child a look and she still bites... Now she looks like a knock off."
