Singer, Whitney Houston, did a very revealing interview with talk show host, Oprah Winfrey. In it she discussed the drug habit that nearly destroyed her. She spoke of an intervention her mother, Gospel singer, Cissy Houston, staged with the Sheriff's Department in tow.
Houston stated her mother told her stardom is, "Not worth it" and warned her husband, "If you move, Bobby (Brown), they are going to take you down. Don't you make one move" as they hauled Whitney off to rehab. You go girl!
She also revealed details about her relationship with R&B singer and fellow addict, Bobby Brown, who turned her on to drugs, discussing some of the ups and downs of their marriage. The two dated for three years before they married and she was addicted to sex with him.
She stated Bobby would cheat on her with other women and use her credit card to do so. Houston also spoke of an incident when he grew angry whilst on probation for drunk driving and slapped her.
Another revelation was Houston's drug use began after her blockbuster smash album and film "The Bodyguard" co-starring Kevin Costner.
The interview is somewhat sad. At times, she looked heartbroken and bewildered at all that has happened in her life, as there have been a number of terrible lows.
