Chris Brown's First Week Sales For 'X' Projected To Be 120,000 Copies Sold As Numbers Are Less Than Expected

Chris Brown's "X" studio CD released this week is projected to sell 120,000 copies in its first week of release. The CD is battling Barbara Streisand's latest effort. On its current sales course, "X" will be a modest success, taking more time than industry experts expected to go gold.

The single "Loyal" created a lot of attention for the CD that suffered from delays and several release dates that originally did not pan out, due to Brown's legal troubles and his former manager withholding the hard drive containing all the singer's music, after she was fired.

"Loyal" became a big hit and went platinum, selling over 1,000,000 copies, which in this day and age is a lot for a single. However, Sony waited too long to release the CD "X" after "Loyal" became a hit and sales are lower than what was expected. Another problem that may have contributed to lower sales is Brown mass unfollowing all his fans on Twitter and Instagram. Some vowed to not buy "X" upon its release.

Chris Brown mass unfollowed all his fans on Twitter and Instagram and they took it very personally. Some of his fans were upset, while others were very angry. It sounds like some were even crying, which is sad, as it means they are hurt. 

Brown gave no explanation for the mass unfollowing but fans are vowing revenge, stating they will not be buying his music. Maybe Brown’s fans were DMing him a lot, but most people will understand if you can’t answer all the DMs if you’ve followed/followed back a lot of people. However, mass unfollowing is not the solution. 

At the end of the day entertainers and athletes need to interact with their fans. Entertainers and athletes who interact with their fans get far more support online and in the sales department. Money aside, fame is a privilege. So it’s good to give back and embrace and say thank you to the people that put food on your table and help you live your dreams. You’d be surprise how much a kind word, a “retweet” a “favorite” or a “like” means to someone. You could literally make someone’s day, week, month or even year by doing so and audiences think well of entertainers and athletes for doing so.

Maybe telling one's fans on Christmas Eve that one is quitting music for good is not a great idea. Just ask pop singer Justin Bieber. His new documentary movie "Believe" released this past week, bombed like it's nobody's business, just days after he announced his premature retirement at age 19.

Yesterday, Bieber announced he's not really retiring. As stated on the site two weeks ago, it was a sales gimmick (Is Justin Bieber Really Quitting Music) but it has backfired. However, Bieber truly is suffering from burnout and harassment from Hollywood cults (Senior Citizen Justin Bieber Again States That He Is Retiring). One thing's for sure, Bieber's new bad boy image is eroding his fan base.

Box Office: Bieber Doc 'Believe' Bombs, Most Fans a No Show 

1:27 PM PST 12/28/2013 - The film may only take in $4.5 million in its first five days, a fraction of what Justin Bieber's "Never Say Never" made and by far the worst showing among concert documentaries featuring the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus and One Direction.


The performer's second concert documentary Believe is turning in a dismal performance at the Christmas box office, where it has earned only $3.1 million in its first three days. On Friday, it fell below $1 million to $790,000 for a 14th place finish.

Believe is now only expected to take in $4.5 million over the course of its five-day debut (Wednesday through Sunday), including a meek weekend haul of $2.2 million. Granted, the movie is said to have cost only $5 million to make, but Believe will do only a fraction of the business that Bieber's Never Say Never enjoyed in February 2011.

Never Say Never, opening to $29.5 million in North America, posted a lifetime domestic gross of $73 million, making it the most successful concert film of all time domestically. Most box office observers say Believe may only hit $10 million.

Believe is badly trailing similar concert documentaries. In August, One Direction: This Is Us debuted to $15.8 million on its way to earning $28.9 million (even that was considered something of a disappointment)...
Still, there's no denying that many of Bieber's fans are staying away. Rivals question why Open Road -- owned by giant exhibitors Regal and AMC -- decided to open Believe on Christmas, the most crowded time of the year.

Rihanna’s trouble "Diamonds" tour continues to meet with trouble. During a performance Manchester, England, members of the audience began throwing potato chips (crisps) at her (hahaha). The temperamental singer music model lashed out at the audience stating, "Cut that s*** out. Were you throwing [bleep] at me? That's an epic fail."

Rihanna routinely disrespects her audience, showing up to shows late, drunk and high. Recently Rihanna was slammed for showing up hours late to a dinner concert where patrons paid $800 to see her perform while they dined. That's completely unprofessional conduct on the part of entertainer, especially at those prices.

She is more concerned with whom on and off again boyfriend Chris Brown is having sex with than her actual, dwindling fanbase. Her career is going up in smoke with lower CD and ticket sales, obsessing over Brown and his relationship with model Karrueche Tran, getting depressed and high to forget he’s moved on from her.

Rihanna's fanbase, known as the "Rihanna Navy dinghy" are making excuses for the inappropriate behavior of the singer, who hit a fan in the face with her microphone during a concert in Birmingham, England. Many have criticized her behavior online, as the video reveals what transpired.

However, true to form she let her fans down, who defended her, by stating the audience member would not let her go as she walked by the crowd and this is her reason for balling up her fist around the microphone and whacking the fan in the face. Ever heard of simply pulling away from the person or alerting security, who was standing right next to you. Viciously hitting someone is not the answer, especially when they did not hit you.

Rihanna showed her true colors yesterday, attacking a fan who was simply cheering for her in the audience. Rihanna, with her fist balled up around the microphone (was it even on) forcefully hit the fan in conduct that was disgraceful and uncalled for. That was just mean. Learn to keep your hands to yourself.

Rihanna proved the Judiciary Report's previous claims since 2009 regarding her being a violent instigator (see "related articles" below). She likes to start violent fights with people - from family members to her on and off again boyfriend Chris Brown, whose name is in tatters after the altercation that occurred between the two in 2009. Yes, he should not have responded with violence, but she should not have started the fight either by hitting him first (especially a man coming from a broken who with domestic violence issues).

Last week teen singer Justin Bieber gave his pet hamster to an audience member while he performed on stage. The fan, a girl named Tori, was more than happy to take the hamster known as Pac (is that short for Pacman or Tupac).

Bieber told Tori to take care of him and by all accounts she has happily obliged. However, an animal rights group are not amused and refer to the incident as abuse. Wait a minute, you have a problem with Bieber giving away the hamster and not the fact he squeezed that little yellow hat, probably his (don't pretend it's not yours), on the hamster’s head (just kidding).
