A Boeing 737 jet carrying Donald Trump's
vice presidential pick, running mate, Mike Pence, skidded off the
runway in New York last night, prompting fears for his
safety. Pence, the Governor of Indiana, ended up in the
grass. Pence was not hurt in the incident that occurred
at LaGuardia Airport in New York City and posed for photos with
firefighters summoned to the scene. "Arrestor beds"
which are blocks installed at select airports, prevented
the plane from skidding any further into disaster.
Pence stated, "So thankful everyone on
our plane is safe. Grateful for our first responders and
the concern and prayers of so many." The FAA and
National Transportation Safety Board are investigating
the suspicious incident that occurred at a time Trump
and Pence have been gaining in the polls.
Side Bar: Prior to takeoff,
rival candidate Hillary Clinton was seen walking away
from Pence's plane with a wrench and a few bolts in her
hands. Just kidding.
