Another Corrupted FBI Agent Turns To Crime

As if the James Bugler case wasn't enough, another FBI agent, has turned to serious criminal misconduct. FBI agent, John Shipley, sold an illegal weapon to a Mexican official.

Mexico has been doing an impressive, massive crackdown, rounding up scores of criminals, which is a goal every government should strive to, in order to reduce crime.

FBI Agent Linked to Cartel Violence

An FBI agent who is facing charges of illegally selling guns, has been linked to the cartel violence in Mexico.

A search warrant affidavit says the suspended agent, John Shipley, sold a .50 caliber rifle that was recovered by Mexican officials after a 2008 cartel shootout in Chihuahua. In that battle, a Mexican army captain was killed.

The affidavit says Shipley did not take the gun to Mexico, but sold it to a former El Paso County Sheriff's Deputy that did. The deputy is Luis Armando Rodriguez who's already been found guilty for illegally selling guns. A federal search warrant affidavit says Rodriguez's home, and the home of his parents was searched as part of a gun trafficking investigation.

The affidavit says investigators searched the homes after a confidential source told investigators, "Armando sells firearms and ammunition in Mexico."...
